The Home Buying Process and the Importance of Choosing the Right Realtor If you're buying a home with a mortgage, the process can be much more complicated than you might expect. There are countless documents to provide, lender requirements to meet, and many details to keep track of. That's why I believe choosing a trustworthy and capable realtor is one of the most important decisions you'll make. A few friends who had recently bought homes recommended Biekhal to me. I initially contacted her simply to learn more about the home-buying process. After asking me a few questions about my financial situation, she told me we could begin right away. Honestly, I couldn't believe it. At the time, I only had a few thousand dollars in my pocket. Owning a home in the United States seemed like something far beyond my reach. Yet that single conversation became the beginning of my journey toward becoming a homeowner. Throughout this process, four qualities mattered most to me: trust, communication, patience, and the ability to handle challenges. Trust One of the things that impressed me most about Biekhal was that she was willing to put my best interests ahead of making a quick sale. There were homes I really liked, but after doing her research, she pointed out issues that made them poor choices for me. Many agents simply want to close the deal as quickly as possible so they can move on to the next client. Seeing someone advise me not to buy a home, even when it meant delaying the sale, gave me tremendous confidence in her integrity. Communication Communication was another top priority for me. Throughout the entire process, Biekhal was incredibly easy to reach. There were even times when I wondered if she ever slept! On the rare occasions she wasn't immediately available, she always returned my calls or messages very quickly. That level of responsiveness made me feel that I was never facing this journey alone. Patience Buying a home requires patience from everyone involved. I had to keep sending documents to the lender, signing paperwork, and responding to unexpected requests. At the same time, Biekhal patiently arranged showing after showing, even though I'm probably not the easiest client to satisfy. Some days we visited several homes. At one point, I even asked to see the same property three different times. Not once did she make me feel like I was asking for too much. She remained patient, understanding, and supportive from beginning to end. Handling Challenges One of the qualities I appreciated most was Biekhal's ability to stay calm and positive during stressful moments. there were moments when I became overwhelmed and even considered giving up. Whenever that happened, Biekhal stayed calm, focused on solutions instead of problems, and kept encouraging me. She reminded me that these setbacks were simply part of the process. Looking back, I truly believe her positive attitude and problem-solving skills helped me get through the most difficult moments. Teamwork Another thing that stood out was Biekhal's team. Her team made up entirely of women, they worked closely with the me and handled every stage of the mortgage process with great professionalism. They were responsive, organized, and excellent communicators. Whenever I had questions, they responded promptly, provided clear guidance, and worked hard to keep everything moving smoothly. Working with such a coordinated and professional team made this long and sometimes exhausting process much easier. Looking Back I've only been in the United States for four years. Owning a home here was once something I could only dream about. Today, that dream has become a reality, and I truly believe that having the right people by my side made all the difference. I would like to sincerely thank Biekhal and her wonderful team for their dedication, patience, professionalism, and support throughout this journey. In the end, I didn't just become a homeowner. After they took my payment in full, she contradicted statements made by the engineering team, was quick to get me off the phone, would forward me to the engineering team when it was a question for her to answer, or not get back to me at all. I regret hiring them and forwarding any business to them. My project remains incomplete but paid in full. I worry what I have paid for exactly with my site plan will only result in costly change orders from their incompetence. Update: A business manager has reached out but only I left two reviews of my experience. Prior to my reviews, the project coordinator would refuse to escalate me to anyone else.

Inconsiderate, rude survey crew…read more A 3-person crew of young men brazenly walked down my driveway and into my backyard, telling me later they were 'entitled' to trespass on someone's property to do their survey work. BOTH our family cars were in the driveway and they did not bother to knock on our door. None of the three men had any I.D. on them. The supposed 'crew chief' was rude and stand-offish. I called the Warrenville Police, who mediated the dispute from the end of our driveway. The crew chief phoned his company owner, then handed me his phone. 'Eric Carradus' said they 'had always done business this way.' I informed him that being hired to do survey work does NOT entitle his employees to trespass on private property without even a knock on the door to ask permission. --This is 2024 and people are a lot more cautious these days, especially senior citizens like myself. The City of Warrenville verified that I "did the right thing" in calling police. Although Eric Carradus told me he would ask him employees to start asking permission to walk across private property, he would not commit to them having to carry company I.D.s (such as a gas meter reader or Amazon). From his (also) stand-offish attitude on the phone, I highly doubt that any change in company policy or behavior will be made. The Carradus crew chief guy (almost sarcastically) "apologized" to me --in front of two police officers. I told him that I accept his apology. He then (again, almost sarcastically) "asked" if his crew could enter my property to do survey work (for my next door neighbor). I said 'yes', told the police that I considered the matter resolved, and turned and went back inside. Regardless, I would urge everyone reading this review to use ANY LAND SURVEY COMPANY EXCEPT CARRADUS of Carol Stream. Their representatives were rude, inconsiderate, felt 'entitled' and carried no I.D.
