I have lived in this apartment for a few months now. It is one of my favorite properties that I've lived in. The complex management are very quick to respond, in person, or over the phone/email to any needs. Shout out to Vanessa who works in the leasing office- she has been so helpful! Maintenance is quick to do all repairs, generally coming the same day. If it's more than a day, maintenance even takes the time to call and leave a voicemail. The grounds are quiet and well kept. I see the groundskeeper in the morning and they do an amazing job. The schools are great. The complex is wonderful for working adults and families. I often see children around safely playing and people out getting their mail. I am very happy here. read more

Only giving 1 star because you have to, Vanessa is EXTREMELY rude. AGPM you should be ashamed of yourself for hiring such an individual. She has no customer service skills and hates her life. She is projecting that hatred onto your residents. You will have an empty complex if you allow her to continue to manage it. The previous reviews are correct, she is a bully and tries real hard to intimidate the residents. She threatens to "call the police" and say you are harassing her when your simple calling the office to ask a question but because she doesn't know or like the answer she hangs up. I recently won a lawsuit against this incompetent staff. They have to pay me 3xs my security deposit and court fees. Vanessa the Property manager is a horrible and despicable human being. While trying to retrieve my Sec. deposit she cussed me out and hung up on me twice. The whole staff is unprofessional and unethical. They try to bully their tenants and hoard their security deposits. They care nothing bout their tenants or Ga law. Please approach with caution . AGPM ( parent company) constantly hires the worst staff. Dee dee who was the previous manager was also a horrible person and got fired. Her whole staff did. Im sure this staff will eventually be fired as well read more

lazy maintenance guys who can't fix anything they Jimmy rig it to make it work. It's a little bit longer. The faces of cabinets were falling off. The refrigerator was broken and they didn't want to replace sliding glass door was broken. They didn't wanna replace their cheap as hell management is rude, they wouldn't give me a copy of my so-called please even though it was a month month told me that I didn't need a copy of it because I was moving out and no longer live there place to live. They are rude. Nasty spray their yard for fleas or anything , and the manager is the worst person I've ever met. I would recommend anyone living there. read more

*LONG POST* I only have this rating because I had to give one! DO NOT I repeat DO NOT move here unless you want to deal with roaches, possible snakes, them going up on your rent every year but no renovations, attitude when you call or complain about something in your apartment, dog feces on the property because there is no park and no one is holding anyone accountable for picking up after their dog, the police coming every other week or so because there's someone holding someone hostage or a shooting (these both instances were on the news!) the list goes on! I just moved out after 3 years on June 30th, 2024. I have them my forwarding address a week later for my deposit and they told me to wait 7-30 days. I called them back on yesterday, August 13th, to check the status of my security deposit because I have yet to receive it. One of the leasing agents told me that the check wasn't even cut yet and she'll see about getting it expedited due to them not doing their job! I called back today, August 14th, to confirm it has been sent and see how long the expediting process would take and the leasing agent stated it won't be expedited, it'll take the regular 7-30 days. I asked her if she could ask because I've waited that time. She stated she's just relaying a message, she doesn't know. So I asked to speak to the leasing manager. That's when she proceeds to tell me she isn't available and she'll have her call me back. At this point I'm furious because now she's giving me the energy like she doesn't want to help. I've done my part and now I'm being penalized because they didn't do theirs! This is insane and very unacceptable! So again, and I repeat! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! read more

Property Manager DeeDee is very rude and has a condescending tone attempting to disguise it as "professional". Called me to complain that she had seen me walk a dog and not clean up after her and had tracked me down to find out what apartment I lived in. Mind you, the dog had already relieved itself off of the property and had attempted to push out a tiny amount that she was referring to. I wonder if the same effort is put into the tenants that leave their 80 lb (over the weight limit) dog's waste everywhere on the property? read more

BE CAREFUL!!! This place is nothing but a money hungry trap. Demanded 100$ hold cashiers check for a unit that we weren't able to see until we'll after the 24 hour time frame to get the money back AND after we REFUSED to give them another 1400$ for security and first months rent. That's hen they finally took our ids and gave us a key to look at the place, which by the way was nothing like what was shown ti us on the floor plan papers that were first handed to us. Oh and they don't seem to know what "had to be right by parking lot" means because of handicap issues. The unit was all the way at the other side of the building from the parking area... I currently live there and is experiencing the exact same things people have written about. Management is rude and does nothing to fix things that are not working. But this is the least of my problems. I'm currently being harassed by management. On multiple dates someone has entered my apartment without my consent and/or without a 24 hour notice. Despite the fact that I've made it clear that no one is welcomed in my apartment without me being home because money was stolen out of my apartment, they have ignored my request. read more

This apartment complex isn't safe to live . I found out doing my application process that they have mold in several apartments. Encountered an current resident which told me she has mold in her apartment and one of her friends that lives their has the same problem. All the service maintenance does is paint over the mold spots. I withdrew my application. Please don't apply here! Not safe! I absolutely loved my stay here! But it's time to go do to family matters if it wasn't for this I'd be here until. Dede is an blessing so is Kerstin they showed me so much love wheel I was here for six whole years! They were so sweet and looked out for me always! People need to understand what it means to be a business periods and Dede was just that... simple as that! I actually really enjoy living here! We are entering our third year living here and we really enjoy it. The staff, with a few exceptions, is incredibly kind and helpful. Here is one example, the ceiling light in my master bedroom burned out and I couldn't reach the bulb to change it and so I asked the head of management if he could swing by and ask if he could fix it, even though the ceiling light isn't part of their responsibilities, and when I came home from work 6 hours later it was taken care of. They usually come by on the same day or even after hours! My air conditioning turned off one night and after I couldn't fix it myself they came by. I also really like the size of the apartment compared to the price. Large walk in closets and huge bathrooms. Big kitchen with a counter and good sized laundry/pantry. read more

Beginning with the mail issues since that has been a big one recently. Had one package stolen from in front of our door last week which was a big violation in feeling safe in this "gated" apartment. I told them about the incident and they told me it was not their problem. Sometimes the mail carriers leave packages at the door, mailboxes, or office but if you work a normal hour job, good luck trying to get your packages because they usually close earlier than their scheduled hours. This week I barely made it in to pick up Christmas gifts because they decided to close a few hours early before leaving for the holidays for a week so if you didn't pick up packages by 2:30 on Friday, you're out of luck for Christmas on Thursday. The only sign saying they would close early was in the office - no signs or letters in the apartments or email or anything. The only way you would know is if you were picking up another package because there's no other reason to go to the office building. I have also found multiple packages in the office that they had for over a week because they didn't tell us (they are supposed to put a note in your mailbox). Even sometimes I will go to pick up a package and they tell me I have one box and find multiple boxes there because they don't keep track of things. The office has a lot of turnover so people either don't always know how to handle things or don't care. It took 2 weeks to get our lease agreement or even what our address would be so I could start receiving mail (they kept telling me "oh tomorrow we'll send it"). There have been multiple times when I've put in maintenance requests and they either say there's nothing they can do (like leaking windows causing mildew) or they don't put in the request and nothing gets done so I have to keep calling about the same problems - some of which get fixed in 10 mins when someone actually comes. The dog poop problem is embarrassing especially behind the building so don't expect there to be a grassy area to hang out at. They don't have cameras so no one is held accountable and people don't clean it. Our downstairs neighbor likes to call the cops when he hears any activity. When the police come at noon, they tell us we're fine and keep doing whatever we're doing because we're not loud and it's the middle of the day (they just have to come when called). However, the office will call and complain while we're at work despite police saying we're fine. So we're expected to either tip toe around our apartment or have a humorous conversation with police. Rent was raised $100 a month recently and the craigslist ad that brought us in said a price that we were told they didn't have available for us. Basically can't walk around inside or outside. Treated rudely or ignored by staff. This place doesn't feel like home. read more

1st there is no new management. False advertising... Next the office & maintenance staff is very rude!! The apartments themselves are nice. My wife and I moved into the apartment and got a great deal. After being told our rent would not increase more than $20-$25 dollars after 1 year (which is typical at every other apartment I've lived at), when our 1 year renewal came up, they jacked our rate up $87/month without any advanced notice or warning. We didn't have time to find another place to stay so we signed another 6 month lease. Parking is a nightmare. They require parking decals, but don't tow cars without decals, instead, their residents are made to park in non-parking zones and they tow their resident's cars without any notice. When asked why they didn't inform me before towing my wife's car, they said they have no way of tracking who owns the car. Is that not what decals are for? It'd be pretty easy to put the decal number into an excel spreadsheet with the resident's name and look it up in a matter of minutes. Unacceptable when there are nightly 10-15 cars in our parking lot without decals that are not being towed. I have a 4 month old child and our Air Conditioner has gone out 3 times in the past two weeks. The last time our A/C went out, we got home at 9:30pm and it was 87 degrees in our apartment. The maintenance guy wouldn't come out to fix it so I had to pack up bags for me, my wife, and all of my infant's stuff to stay at a friend's house. Did they even apologize for the inconvenience' NO. They said "tough luck, we'll fix it tomorrow first thing in the morning." It was about 3pm before it was fixed and we could return to our apartment. They told me the wire had burned out (fire hazard?) at the unit outside and would be back on Monday to check and see if we needed a new unit. Wednesday evening I called because I had not heard anything back from them. Called just to check and see if they had been out to look at the unit. I spoke with Sheryl in the office and was not rude, did not raise my voice, simply stated the issue and mentioned that if I had to displace my family overnight again that I would be upset. She told me, "You're too young to be so angry, why don't you take a happy pill." And then she hung up on me. I've never been so insulted in all my life. I called the General Manager and she didn't even apologize. I asked for her supervisors number and got the regional manager's number. I've called and left messages for her, but have not received a return call back. This is ridiculous. All I want is a safe place for my family to live, and not have to worry about a wire at the outside unit "burning out" (the maintenance guy's words, not mine) and causing a fire. I don't want to have to displace my family overnight because they refuse to come out and work on a unit after hours. I understand 220 voltage is pretty scary stuff, but I've been in electrical work before and made house calls at midnight....that's what flashlights are for! I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone anymore. The first year was not too bad, but it's gone WAY downhill over the last month or two. read more

Worst apartment experience me and my roommate have ever had. Constant cockroach problems that management refuses to fix, even though the "spray every week". Oh, and they will probably tell you your BRAND NEW moving boxes brought in the bugs. Management is rude. They will try to tell you about parking regulations but you can ignore them, everyone else does. Don't bother calling the office or going up there to complain, they will tell you to take pictures of the license plates of the cars illegally parked, "to help them"... but in reality they don't need your silly pictures, only for you to leave them alone to do whatever it is they do up there. I find most people who bother to write apartment reviews are those with some huge grip against the property, so I feel compelled to write a review here. Alta Ridgewalk's location is unbeatable. It is in close proximity to all things transportation, shopping and great food. I like the spacious floor plans and the access to common area and its little gym. The best part of the apartment without a doubt is the property manager, Anita. She has made us (My 2 kids and I) feel welcomed, keeps the place looking great, and immediately takes care of any repairs. Anita and her staff are quick to respond to any issues that you have. They have tenant events where everyone can get together and mingle. . They know you by name when you walk through the door and that is unusual. I rarely go in the office and no matter how much time goes by, they still know me. The second best thing is the size of the closets - awesome sizes. I own clothes enough to supply a small country, but I have no problem fitting everything in here. Of course, as anything in life, it is not perfect....but the positives outweigh the negatives. The one negative is dog poop on the grounds. But like a great property manager does; Anita and her staff have sent out notices remind tenants with pets to please pick after their "business" and even added extra poop stations for waste to be disposed off. This issue is getting much better, well except when it rains...People get lazy about it. I have problems with insomnia, so I quickly learned being new to the whole "large apartment complex" thing to leave my radio or fan running all night and noise from the hallways or other apartments doesn't seem to be a problem, although in other reviews I see that is a complaint. My opinion is if you choose to live in a large complex (and obviously very full of people) then you should know to be proactive and sleep with some sort of white noise rather than suffering & complaining about the noises of the neighboring units. I This is my third month living at Alto Ridgewalk Apartments and so far they have yet to fix the things that I have submitted on my move in check list. They have NOT done ANY repairs at all . When you walk out the door of the apartment the stench of feces and urine is overwhelming and make me nauseous. The foundation is unleveled in my apartment and there are four broken machines outside my bedroom window that make so much nose I wouldn't be able to hear a train go by. The leasing agent pulled the bait and switch on me. I thought i was getting a sunroom , instead I got a high priced box. It is so small it should be listed as a studio not a one bedroom. In addition the closet racks are so high that if you are 5 feet or shorter you will not be able to use them. There are many safety issued that have been reported to management but not addressed in over 60 days , when the contract says 24-48 hours. However they do find time to email residents about water aerobics but no time to make repairs inside or outside of the apartments. The gate has been broken about 15 days now. So much for getting what you pay for. read more

I would highly recommend finding another place to live! We were on the first floor and constantly dealt with trash everywhere and picked up other people's pet's crap. There was a hanger that stayed in the same spot the entire year we were there! They mow AROUND trash in the lawn. We dealt with roaches a lot even though our apartment was kept clean. We had other tenants harassing our pet through the window when we weren't home and even got a security camera. When we moved out on Oct 13th, we had to pay rent for November and they charged us for water and sewer. How I don't know since we weren't even there. Her comment when I questioned it was "you had access to the apartment, didn't you" She then tells me they never charged me for my second pet but that was THEIR choice! I guess they are charging me for it now. They forgot about my appointment for the final walk through until I called after waiting for two hours. JD said he didn't see or smell anything but the carpet guy has the final decision and "he likes to make his money, too". What do you think that meant? Exactly! They tell me today they had to replace the carpet due to pet urine???? Seriously! And they are billing me for over $600!!! Don't you think I'd have known if my pet damaged their cheap carpeting? Wouldn't JD have seen or smelled urine? We paid for 6 weeks of rent when we weren't even living there and now they want more money? Run, find a better place to live!!! CROOKS!!!!!!!!!! They may sound good up front but there are cleaner and more honest places to live, trust me! read more

I moved into Altra Ridgewalk in July and during the duration of my lease had to deal with wild kids running up and down the stairs all hours of the night playing basketball in the hall and bouncing the ball on the walls. We had pot head neighbors who had endless sexual encounters for all the neighbor's to hear at all hours of the night. Then even graced us with the aerobic acts out on the porch in the middle of the night. The pot smoke was so bad my entire home smelled of pot all the time. We even let the office management team know b/c we have an infant but the pot smoking still continued after a couple of complaints. The children and other residents threw their garbage in the middle of the road and would leave it for the grounds keeper to pick up all the time. Anytime you would call the leasing office/maintance man etc. the phone was always busy and you would have to leave a message. People in this community just don't care. After preparing for our move and letting the office management team know we would be vacating the apartment they didn't even know we were still occupying the apartment for an additional month. After we moved they did a walkthrough of the apartment before we returned the keys and threw away close to $1000.00 worth of personal items. We we called they did nothing to work with us and said we need to move forward with the moving out process to allow other residents to move in. They are now trying to charge us for repairing carpet that was of course already worn out from previous residents! It's an unfortunate situation. They didn't even try to contact us to make sure it was ok to throw away all our items away. I'm sure they are used to dealing with people who leave things behind and a mess but they didn't even give us a chance. I realize this community has poor taste in the quality of people they allow to reside here but they don't need to assume all residents are the same. Needless to say unless your desperate like we were I don't recommend this community it's not a good place to stay for a small growing family! read more
