I have AAA and whenever I needed assistance they always have been on spot with service lately until I came to San Antonio , and this company has been noting but issues after issues , first they are never never on time they gave me an hour estimate turns into 3 hours , and when I called them about any updates they tell me to wait . What is AAA good for it I can't get on time help ? I recently called them but between AAA reps and communication with ridgeway I get nowhere's but "just wait" and when they finally come , I'm treated like I did something wrong seriously, have at least some respect , and come on time read more

Worst towing experience. Called through Toyota Roadside due to back flat tire. Ridgeway Towing showed up in the wrong tow truck. Couldn't tow because the back tire was flat and could only loft from the front. Didn't call his company to send the right truck. No. He told my husband to walk to Lowe's and buy tape to cover the holes and he would try to fill it and then drive it to the tire shop. We didn't. Would have ruined the rim. They left. Zero help. When I called them, no apology. Didn't even have record of us and told me to calm down. 100 degree heat. Two little kids. Terrible customer service. Called Toyota back to send a different company and told them to never contract with them again. Stay away. read more

My wife called AAA for a flat tire, and the guy from Ridgeway that responded didn't know how to change it. He was also impatient and got huffy at my daughter, and said "I don't feel safe" when she raised her voice, told us we needed a tow truck because "we didn't have the tools needed to change it" and left. I was assigned to ridgeway towing by AAA. I was contacted by ridgeway and told that their driver Jorge would arrive in 30 min. After waiting an hour in Texas heat of over 100 degrees, I called and was told the driver would arrive in 30 min. After another 45 min the driver was not there and I called again and told he would arrive in 30 min. The driver arrived 2 hour after the estimated arrival time. jorge attempted to charge me a service charge despite being a AAA custome. Jorge said that he had just gotten the dispatch 35 minutes prior and suggested that I call his supervisor to waiver the additional fee since I had been waiting for hours in extreme heat. His supervisor Sam told me that I was lucky that they came at all and he didn't care if I waited another 2 or more hours in my hot car. just wanting to be out of the heat, I gave my credit card to Jorge to be charged who was enterEd my number on his tablet device. when he took a phone call, He left my credit card on the bed of his truck and went to the cab of the truck. Then he drove away leaving me stranded. I then called AAA who sent out another dispatch request to Ridgeway towing who sent me a message stating Juan was on his way and would be there in 30 min. An hour later I was contacted by AAA that ridgeway refused to come likely due to a higher paying job. Very unprofessional and unsafe! read more

I'd give absolutely zero stars if possible because after 3 encounters with this company, I'd given up until Asan (forgive me if I'm wrong) came to the rescue with a smile, manners and an offer of bottled water. Trust me I wouldn't call the same company after being burned the first time but because of AAA forcing me to use their services, I had no choice. AAA is getting a review as well. Two of the 3 encounters the guy was trying to sell me parts my car doesn't even have or trying to get me to his garage for something I didn't even need. Called AAA for a vehicle lockout at 8pm and they said Ridgeway Towing would be our service provider arriving by 9:30pm. By 11pm no arrival and AAA could not reach them after multiple attempts. Ended up having to call a local locksmith and go through process to have AAA reimburse me. Would not recommend Ridgeway Towing. read more

Needed a vehicle towed last night. AAA sent our info over to Ridgeway and once we called we were hung up on and they would not answer when we called back. Horrible service and did not help at all. Several weeks ago my wife, grandchildren and I were stranded at a local theater (Alamo Drafthouse Westlakes) The trunk release on our car was not working and our keys were in the trunk! After 2 hours of futile attempts to lower the back seats and a visit from AAA--they contacted Ridgeway Towing on our behalf. JONATHAN responded in short order. Rather than simply towing our car--and, we think, in response to seeing two seniors with two grandchildren--this young man went "the extra mile". He tried several times to release the back seat--then took the time to try to determine the issue with the trunk release. This included popping the liner and checking the release cable. It was not easy--and required a special tool--which he picked up at a Home Depot. He determined that the cable had snapped at the source of the lever and managed, as a short term solution, to open the trunk!! This humane act was an act of kindness that speaks well of this young man JONATHAN and RIDGEWAY TOWING. As a retired teacher and Disabled Vet--it is heartening to know there are young people like this young man who have a strong grasp of his moral compass and the kindnesses that still inhabit the character of our youth. Derrick from Ridgeway was amazing - my car (SUV) was literally stuck on top of a boulder with the right side was elevated off the ground by a foot - he backed up his giant truck, extended the lift on the back, and lifted the car off the boulder, backed it up and set it down gently. He test drove it to make sure there was no damage to the car. This was outside a restaurant in a shopping center, and everyone in the center gave him a standing ovation after this maneuver! My daughter's car was in an ice-related incident. I called AAA for her, who dispatched Steven from Ridgeway Towing. The car would not even turn over, but after resetting the safety fuel shut-off switch that I didn't even know her car had, she was on her way. Though my daughter was the one they were helping, Steven called me to let me know all was well. He did not have to do that. This fellow Steven is bent on single-handedly raising the general reputation of tow-truck drivers. His attitude is top-notch: he really does want to help to the best benefit of his customers. Evaluated and diagnosed the problem with the vehicle. He stated that I simply needed a new battery. On 9-28, we called AAA because the car battery died. Nader came promptly. He had cold water for each of us which was really nice because it was so hot out. This guy was towing a car in the lane I was in. In order to turn, I'd have to go into oncoming lane. Before I even get to him, this guy starts yelling at me to go around. First of all, unprofessional. Second, it's unsafe. And three, don't block access to the road and you won't have any interaction with people. As I approached, I told him to relax. This place does not honor their word. Wanted my car picked up from one location and moved to a new one. Called them and asked for a morning pickup and they said no problem.....at 12pm still had not picked up my car they said they they would get someone out there as quickly as possible, I called back around 5 pm and they said they were to busy to pick up my car and deliver it.
