Timing is everything…read more.. I have been traveling back and forth to my hometown more often in the past ten months than I have in the past ten years! Hubby is the boss where he works, but scheduled meetings with all of the out of town big wigs were slated for last week. We got an emergency call which needed our time and attention back home, so we made a deal, he said that he would go with me, if we drove round trip in one day. I agreed, as I really did not want to make this particular trip alone and said I will drive there ( four hours ) if you will drive home. In agreement again, while I drove in, using my car, he slept most of the way. We paid our respects to my brother and his family and were on our way to get a quick bite to eat, when hubby said, how long has that oil life low been reading? I said oh, it's been doing that, but I keep resetting it... He literally turned every color of the rainbow and said we have to find a mechanic now! Okay. Of course when you need a garage you will not find one and he was fuming ( calm down honey, it's okay, I hit the reset button ), when he pulled into the parking lot of this Ace Hardware, yay, maybe they can make him happy! He bought a bunch of motor oil and kept pouring it in, while I am saying, be careful not to get that on your white shirt or tie, lol, if looks could kill.. I thought that it was so nice of that boy who was going into work to walk clear across the parking lot and take that bag of empty oil bottles out of our hands, because It was NOT going in my car!

This particular one takes up a majority of the space in an old shopping plaza. It is tucked away somewhat in a corner, behind other businesses that face the road. If you are driving on the road, I can almost guarantee that you will not know this is here. This place is kind of set up as a flea market-esque style. Vendors can buy space to display their wares, but do not have to be present for their items to sale. I believe that each section has their own color/marking of identification to alert the cashier as to where the money goes once the sale is completed. Items range all over the place here. The last time I was here there are gently used items to brand new, not out of the package yet items as well. Everything from fresh produce to furniture can be bought within the walls. Just to give you a heads up, this place can be bit of a maze to navigate and you definitely have to come here when you have time to spare. It is not one of those quick stop spots to run in and grab what you need (think of it as a place where you want, but not need items). I cannot remember fully if this place is cash only or not, I want to say not, but that may not be true. One my next visit I will check to be sure. It is clean, I'm not saying that most thrift stores are not clean, but the way that this is set up it gives off a pristine appearance. Now, just to make things clear, yes, they are a thrift store. However they only deal with home furnishings and home decor. If you are just looking for a bargain, this may not be your place to go. The way it is set up you actually feel like you are in a run of the mill furniture store. It is rather large inside and you might find something you didn't expect in here. Merchandise changes frequently, so coming back may be a different experience. Customer service is top notch here and basically cuts out the guess work. I had a question on whether they had an item or not and with the answer I got it saved me from browsing and become frustrated. Hours are a bit odd, so make sure you call ahead to see if they are open or look them up online.
