My wife and I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Rigby and his office. In 2023, my wife suffered a workplace injury that resulted in the loss of two teeth. She required extractions, implants, and ultimately crowns--a process that understandably required multiple appointments over an extended period of time. Throughout her treatment, Dr. Rigby's bedside manner was noticeably lacking. On one occasion, my wife was left sitting in the dental chair for more than an hour after being numbed and prepared for treatment. No apology was offered, nor was there any effort made to communicate the delay or check on her well-being. The office staff also appeared consistently disorganized when handling her case. Because this treatment stemmed from a workplace injury, it was being processed through Workers' Compensation rather than personal insurance. Despite this being clearly established from the beginning, we found ourselves having to remind the staff at nearly every appointment that the claim was work-related and should not be billed to us personally. What is most frustrating is that years later, we were sent to collections over a disputed balance of $294.17 and subsequently served with a lawsuit. Considering the extensive treatment history and the repeated billing confusion created by the office, it was shocking to see such an aggressive approach taken over such a small amount. Dishearteningly, throughout this experience my wife and I often felt unwelcome and disrespected. As a married lesbian couple and members of the LGBTQ+ community, we left multiple interactions feeling that we were not afforded the same courtesy, compassion, and professionalism that every patient deserves. Whether intentional or not, the overall tone and treatment we received created an environment that felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Healthcare settings should be places where all patients feel safe, supported, and valued, regardless of sexual orientation or family structure. Routine cleaning. Another wonderful visit! It began with the warm reception as soon as I step foot into their office. As My routine cleaning was a blast, all thanks to Dr. Rigby's amazing team. Melissa was hilarious--her humor and expertise made me wish I could come every three months instead of six. The care provided by Melissa is outstanding, she's careful and takes time to explain each step and is quick to answering my questions. Be sure to ask for Melissa for your cleaning. Be careful leaving their offices during winter, if you're like me, I had a skip in my walk, the results of the care I received from Melissa, glad there were no snow outside, my skip could result in a slide. read more

Don't let your adult kids on your insurance go here. They somehow think it is still the parents responsibility to cover their payments. It wouldn't be so bad, but the dentist broke off the end of his examination tool in a filling. Had to pay twice for that. Once to get it stuck and then again to unsuccessfully remove it. There are better things to spend your money on besides incompetency. read more

I only give one star because there is no option for one star, let alone a negative star.....I would never trust this dentist for any of your dental needs. They quoted me a price when I went in for some work. I have paid most of it off and now they say I need to pay A LOT more because they didn't do their job and find out what insurance pays. I would have gone elsewhere if that was the case. I am trapped because they can just send it to collections and mess up my credit. NEVER go there!!! read more

Dr. Nourbakhsh said my children had really bad cavities and went so far as to say how one of the cavities was close to the root. They went to their father's dentist and no cavities were to be found. And they're still in the clear two years later. Then, she and Dr. Rigby told me I had a bad cavity. Still, I waited six months to see if it would show up again since I have no pain whatsoever and take really good care of my teeth. Nourbakhsh said it was still there and was sticky. But I could tell what she was really doing was sticking the pic between my teeth. Got a second opinion six months later (one year after first diagnosis) and the new dentist said there was no cavity in that tooth. read more

Well there may be nitrous left in the tank but don't worry as there's plenty of shots waiting while you wait and wait and wait... I was lucky enough to get three injections in two hours while I waited just to be told "sorry" can't help you today it was a misunderstanding with the schedule and what we told you we can do. read more

Update 8/5/20 I had my first visit with Dr. Rigby this last week. First off I have positional vertigo triggered by changing of my head movement with respect to gravity. Dr. Rigby was unaware of this, and I had an episode that came on suddenly while he was working on my teeth. He was so attentive to me as his patient he knew right away something was wrong, and he stopped to make sure I was okay. I advised him of what was happening to me, and I can't stress how compassionate and helpful he was the rest of the procedure. He made sure to explain to me when I would feel a vibration, what I was feeling and when I would feel it. He was very accommodating to the different position my head needed to be in to reduce the room spinning and nausea. I also can't say enough about the dental assistant that was there helping. She looked for Dramamine for me, because I mentioned that helps me (unfortunately they did not have any), and she gave me a blanket to make me feel more comfortable. They reduced the stress level, and made me comfortable enough to make it through the entire visit. I had all the work I was there to get done finished in that visit, and I am very grateful for them. This was the worst!! It took me over 2 months to have them complete the process of simply fitting my new implants. They got the lower implant completely stuck in my mouth when trying to fit it, and almost broke my jaw trying to take it off. Then I had a huge abrasion on my lower gum that I had to see a different dentist to get antibiotic mouthwash from for it to heal. After all that, phone calls went unreturned, and they turned around and billed me $1700 for it after assuring me it would only be the cost of the new housings!! My old dentist in Seattle would have done it for a couple hundred bucks!!! This is a business who is not honest and doesn't really care about the patients health. Rather it's all about the Allmighty dollar and dishonest practice at the cost and welfare innocent people. Save yourself a horrible experience and go somewhere else. read more

I think it's important that I first to disclose that Rigby Dental has been my practice of choice since I was very little. Dr. Rigby has performed a variety of dental procedures on me all with great success. He is one of the most gentle and knowledgeable dentists that I have encountered (to be fair he's one of the only dentists I know but regardless I trust him). His staff is awesome as well! I have been a returning patient at Rigby dental for more than a year now. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Some of the work I have had done are fillings, a crown and they made a mouth guard for me as well that has eliminated the pain I was getting while eating on one side of my mouth. My daughters and I had dental work to tune of over $800- crown for me and fillings. We were there for 3hrs and not all work completed. My daughter's gums were bruised. I have dental insurance but there was no offer other than paying in full. It seemed not right so I emailed a copy of my dental insurance to them. I got a response that because their system was inaccurate, I would be due a credit after they contested with insurance. No apology offered. My next visit to complete work, she thought she was being nice by not charging me and letting insurance work itself as I would be due credit. That's awesome, but how am I going to pay my mortgage and groceries in the meantime?? Know that your oversight causes great distress on others. read more

Horrible service, I was lied to. I called for an implant quote. The quote was reasonable. So I made an appointment. I paid the the the total right after my appointment. A month later they I was billed 600 dollars more. I called them all they said That's not what we quoted you. I should have them put everything in writing. They sent me to collections. Now my implant fell out, they said I have to pay collections before they can help me. Very shady office. Take your business somewhere. read more

Dr. Rigby and his staff are beyond amazing. They are always very friendly and courteous and I actually have a pleasant time while at the dentist. Yes! It's possible! I went to the same dentist since I was a child and it was always a nightmare, but going to Dr. Rigby set my mind at ease and I never knew that a dentist visit doesn't have to be painful! I've been going to him since 2008. The location is convenient and easy to get to. The office is very clean and welcoming. I never have to wait more than a couple minutes in the waiting room and they get started immediately once I sit in the chair. The hygienists always make sure I'm comfortable and takes her time to ensure proper cleaning. Dr. Rigby is thorough with inspection and will give you tips and tools needed to keep your teeth at its fullest potential. Jamie, the office manager, is the nicest, most friendly person and she makes you feel great when you walk out of the dentist. My teeth are getting up there in age and I am so happy I have the support of Rigby Dental. I have met with both Dr. Rigby and his staff numerous times outside of business hours.
