CASH PAYING / NO INSURANCE - PLENTY OF BETTER CHOICES ELSEWHERE!…read more We WERE patients of this practice the past couple of years and had good service for the times we went (2X/year). However, if you do not have insurance (unemployed, self-employed) you will significantly save by taking your business elsewhere. TMFD provides NO discount to cash paying customers. You will pay the FULL amount of the rate they "bill" insurance companies, even though TMFD collects only a portion from insurance companies due to the contracted rates for said services. Example: I was interested in just a cleaning. TMFD wanted to charge me $112 for the cleaning. I had a cleaning earlier this year (Jan '24) and the rate they billed insurance for just the cleaning was $97. What insurance actually paid them was $45! Yet now, TMFD wants to charge me $112. I called around and found more sympathetic dentists to my current situation who not only had a less expensive rate to begin with, but offered a discount to cash paying customers (because they know they're going to collect more from a cash paying customer they offer a 10-25% discount than they would billing insurance). Once we have insurance again, no problem. Just amazed that TMFD wasn't willing to work with us and would so easily loose two loyal customers! BTW, their in-house plan wasn't that great of an option, once you run the numbers.

I had a toothache so I called them up. they were able to see me within the hour. I called them at 9am and I was sitting in the chair getting my tooth x-ray at 9:45(good luck finding anywhere else that will see you so quickly). It turns out I needed some work done and I had a sinus infection. I got a temp crown, 3 fillings, a full cleaning, antibiotics, and prescription pain meds all within the same day(I came back a week later to finish the crown). and it didn't break my wallet! I was pleasantly surprised. My insurance paid for 4/5ths of the procedure. My teeth are in good shape and my bite is perfect. I quite enjoyed the professionals who worked on me. They were really kind and considerate. I kept getting bits of stuff in my beard during the procedure but the hygienist was careful to keep me clean and my dignity was protected. I felt like a real person and they treated my like one. I'll be coming back in 6 months for my next cleaning. Thank you for your help stonehaven!

Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. Bateman Dental Review…read more I booked an appointment for a filling repair which had fallen out the day prior. I called ahead to book an appointment and indicated that my filling had fallen out and I needed it to be replaced. I went into their offices and was told that I needed a full crown instead, and that I needed an implant on a different tooth (completely unrelated to the reason I was there). I thought this was odd, and I felt uncomfortable, so I told them I would think it over. I was in their offices for about 15 minutes total. I then went to get a second opinion from another dentist who told me that I simply needed to replace the filling and did not need a crown, he thought it was odd Bateman suggested otherwise. I had the other dentist perform the work without issue. A month later, I receive a bill from Bateman for $340. This was odd, since I never had any services performed by them, other than an exam on the ONE tooth that I requested to be fixed. Again, I was there for 15 minutes. After looking at the itemized bill, I noticed they had charged me for 8 x-rays, and a full dental exam, without my consent for additional x-rays or to perform my yearly exam. After questioning the front office about these charges, and asking them why I would need EIGHT X-rays to look at ONE tooth, and a full dental exam (which I do not believe they performed) I was told that they "took it upon themselves" to perform these x-rays and a full dental exam, because insurance "should cover the charges 100%". After insurance did not send them the payment, I was repeatedly hounded / harassed for payment and was threatened that my bill would be taken to collections. This went on for 6 months. They told me to call my insurance and ask for payment, and I told them I did not feel comfortable with that since I did not receive/ask/want those additional services. I ended up paying out of pocket $340 for a 15 minute appointment to look at my tooth. No treatment. Make sure you are checking your detailed bills with this dental practice. They are unethical and not trustworthy. They try to up-charge and up-sell their services to try and squeeze as much money out of you as possible. I went ahead and reported them for insurance fraud and will continue to share my experience.

During my last few…read morecleanings, however, I noticed they were increasingly recommending additional dental work, even though I had no tooth pain, took good care of my teeth, and hadn't noticed any problems. At my most recent cleaning, the amount of recommended work doubled. I was told that two teeth needed work, totaling around $600, and they were actively trying to schedule appointments to have it done. Something didn't feel right, so I asked for a copy of the X-rays they had just taken so I could get a second opinion. After consulting with someone else in the office, the employee helping me said they would mail the X-rays to me. I never received them. When it was time for my next checkup six months later, I decided to go to a different dentist. I wanted to see whether this new dentist identified the same problems that Elevated Family Dentistry told me required treatment. After taking new X-rays, performing a thorough exam, and cleaning my teeth, the new dentist found NO teeth that needed work. **After that, I looked more closely at the reviews for this practice. What concerned me even more was finding multiple negative reviews describing experiences remarkably similar to mine: patients say they were told they had cavities or needed dental work here, but after seeking second opinions elsewhere, they were told that the recommended work wasn't necessary.** Those reviews are easy to miss among the many positive ones. (You can read more of these negative reviews through google reviews) - which is one reason I felt it was important to share my experience. I can't say why there was such a significant difference between the two dentists' assessments, but the experience left me extremely uncomfortable--especially considering that I requested my X-rays for a second opinion and never received them. I strongly encourage anyone surprised by a diagnosis or recommendation for significant dental work here to get a second opinion before proceeding. My new dentist may not have a large, beautiful building with spa-like amenities (that are expensive), but I would much rather give up those extras for dental care I feel confident in and a dentist I CAN TRUST

Called Floss Family and explained my situation they got me in pretty quickly. I have been seen by Dr. Coakley and Tori and they are both great! I'm a huge gagger. Like embarrassingly bad. They have both been super great with me, especially Tori. I'm pretty certain I'm her favorite patient! lol. Anyway, I had a tooth with a cap that was having problems. They went in and cleaned it up and got me a temporary. Unfortunately, I still had some pain, so I opted to go forward with a root canal. Went back in and had the root canal done. Got another temporary while they sent my cap offsite to be completed. Just went back in for my permanent cap today and it was easy peasy. In & out in 20 min. Both Dr. Coakley and Tori are friendly and extremely patient with me. I can't thank them enough for their patience. The office is clean, everyone is friendly and kind, and I don't hesitate to recommend them.

That was my husband's experience here. We finally stopped going when I started having tooth pain from one of their fillings, and they brought a little model in to show me how a filling can end up being too deep in the tooth so the tooth splits, and how I needed a crown. Afterwards when I was left in the booth to think about the options they had given me, I realized that I could overhear the doctor giving the person in the next booth the same exact explanation, and I remembered that this is the reason my husband was given for needing crowns. I've never had this type of damage happen from any other fillings I've had from other dentists, so it's astounding that it happens so often with this practice. My next dentist just shaved the filling down to match my bite better, and it's been fine. He was also able to reapply my husband's crowns in a way that kept them in place for a couple of years, now. I was reminded of our experience here by a recent conversation, and judging by reviews the miss-handling is ongoing so I thought I'd add my piece to save the teeth of others. To be fair, all of the staff and doctors are very nice when you're there, but that doesn't change a lifetime of damaged teeth.
