This place is really large and open

You've heard of farm to table restaurants this is a gem to table brewery (at least partially). They grow corn, and barley that they use in their beers just out side the back door. The farm theme is cute and the space is large. Enjoyed the beers we tried my husband really liked the "corn wine" similar to a barley wine. The outside is very family friendly and the play structure shaped like a tractor was super cute. A fun place to hang out -'d drink some good beer

Very crowded and popular... but that just means it's good! Food trucks are available almost daily, they have Friday and Saturday markets, and are super friendly and local. The beer menu is limited, but rotates seasonally. And the beer is good.

This is one impressive brewery, variety, flavors, an indulgent chime to tingle all the ears and taste buds. I noticed plenty of space and parking in this accessible location. Staff was in touch and serving up some samples in their rustic atmosphere. Can't say to food but assuming it is as good as the beers; has to grab a four pack of the schwarzbier noting it's rich and complex balance. My friends enjoyed as well, can easily recommend Riggs!

Go out in the country to get to this brewery. It's certainly a long way from the campus craziness. Riggs is a brewery operated by two U Of I graduates, and that's keeping it local. Has a pretty good selection to choose from. The place is big enough for events and gatherings. A lot different than most places to drink in the Champaign and Urbana area. It's out far away from most things, so it's pretty quiet. The place is good for families too. After hearing about it, we had to get here. We had a few beers, and we liked all these. It's about $5 a pint. They have a good variety of styles. Best one is the Hefeweizen. This one is light and smooth. For sure it's a change from the bars people typically go to around here. It's not for frat boys, for sure. There's not really any food menu but sometimes there's food trucks.

Very family friendly with a play area outside for kids beer selection is pleasing to the taste buds a lot of German flair to the taste buds...food truck parked right outside to satisfy the hungry people

Amazing beer and an even better atmosphere. I love going and sitting outside in the warmer months with friends and family. It's idyllic. The owners and staff are great. My family makes it a point to go to the Christkindlmarket at least a couple times every year as well.

Beer was good, cheap and original. They had free live music. And an area for kids to play. Lots of seating and attentive staff.

Holy smokes! Smoked meat that is. We were so thrilled to find this gem of a place…read more We actually headed here because folks told us it was Celiac friendly, but you won't notice the difference whether you're eating gluten free or not. The ribs were *beyond amazing*. No joke. I know they serve other things, but do NOT miss the ribs. All of their sauces are GF so you don't have to worry about what you're eating. And for those of you craving carbs that aren't diet-restricted, the Cheddar Jalapeño Corn Bread was delish. Located in an old train station, it has a HUGE gorgeous bar that is the statement piece within the restaurant. But feel free to sit outside when the weather is good.

I found Black Dog to be really good barbecue. The brisket was perfect. I like the sauce choices…read moretoo. I had the Chicago Hot and a monthly special called Kansas City Firecracker. Both were hot and sweet, my favorite type of sauce. The red cabbage coleslaw was delicious and plentiful. The green beans and tomatoes were awesome. I wish they had greens too , but no. I also tried the polish sausage because somebody on Yelp said it was secretly the best thing on the menu. It was very good, but I'd say the brisket was better. Lots of nice craft beers available - some local. The service was nice and friendly. Nicole was my bartender/server. I enjoyed hearing about her favorite menu items. As you'll see from my receipt, everything has an itemized cost, so the place is a little pricey. But still worth it to me.
