I have been to quite a few doctors during this ordeal and not one has come close to providing the care Dr. Pathare has given me. His excellent bedside manner has allowed me to feel very comfortable discussing my symptoms and creating a plan with him to alleviate my neck and back pain. I even switched my insurance plan to make sure I am able to continue seeing him after my no-fault insurance has been exhausted! His staff is just as wonderful! They are extremely accommodating, organized and empathetic. They are truly a pleasure to deal with which is so hard to find these days. I'd also like to point that prior to coming to his office, I went to see a different physician in the same specialty that I was referred to by my attorney. I did not see the attending until the end of my appointment. That office had a dozen residents, PA's, and nurses, seeing the patients to report back. When I make a doctor's appointment, I want to see the doctor I am scheduled to see. At Advanced Spine Care, you see the doctor you made an appointment without having to see other healthcare professionals nor a need to repeat your history several times. I highly recommend Dr. Pathare to anyone looking for an excellent Pain Management provider. I will be forever grateful for finding his office and for the relief he has given me.

Clove Lakes rehabilitation I spent close to 3 months…read morerecovering from a fractured pelvis. I already had a stroke which made it more difficult to recover. I had a choice which rehab on Staten island to choose from. I had heard that Clove Lakes had a good reputation for therapy. I was fortunate to have two very good therapists that would not let me give up and helped me push through my pain. Ruel my physical therapist and Imran my occupational therapist Imran were not only knowledgeable but motivating. I looked forward to my therapy sessions everyday. P.S. The gym is new and well equipped. The therapists are knowledgeable and treat patients with respect. I was also very happy with the CNA's that were assigned to my care. They were pleasant to be around, they were very helpful and encouraged me to get stronger and more independent. They were gentle and kind and did not make me feel uncomfortable. A special thanks to my regular CNA's that helped me most Charlotte, Tamara, Eleanor, Phyllis. Kudos to Tamara and Charlotte for helping me with all my needs in the mornings and always getting me to therapy on time. I was pleased with all nurses and CNA's on my floor. My only complaint is there should be more CNA'S assigned on certain shifts. Now for the downside. Elevators that only work sometimes. There are times you could wait up to 30 minutes to get on since we all have wheelchairs since elevators are always breaking down. FOOD.. I understand it is difficult to prepare meals for so many people with different need but I challenges the cooks to taste what they serve. Good thing they offered some alternatives if you were lucky if they answered the phone. Bring your loved one some goodies. All and all, I made the right choice,

We had an initial progress call with the social worker, dietitian, & head of rehab & they were not able to answer any of my questions. My mom contracted a UTI & we were never notified of the infection and only found out when my mom told us they took a urine test and was on an antibiotic. The facility is very outdated for the amount they charge for room & board & needs a big facelift If you are thinking about placing your loved one at Clove Lakes for rehab or long term, think about another facility & do some research before you do.

As a retired disability advocate and executive I caution consumers and their families to not generalized- every agency can only be as good as their staff- some are fabulous others not so good. Keep in mind that in the Medicaid program these front-line workers are underpaid often making less than fast food workers while putting their health in jeopardy- not only vivid but bad backs from lifting their consumers. If you want better care join them in demanding fair pay from the state government.
