Once we submitted an offer, we were told there were multiple offers on the property. (LIE) Shortly after, the seller significantly raised the price.(20,000$). The entire situation felt more like a game than a professional transaction handled with transparency and integrity. It honestly felt like we were being pushed to increase our offer without clear evidence of other active buyers. Ultimately, we decided to move on and pursue another property, which ended up being a much better/cleaner fit. Interestingly, once we canceled our offer, the home went right back on the market and continues to show as available. That definitely made us question the "multiple offers" we were told about. She doesn't care about veterans or military/law enforcement. Buying a home is already stressful, and clear communication, honesty, and professionalism are extremely important. Unfortunately, that was not our experience her AT ALL. I don't recommend using this flashy mindless realtor. She also tried to threaten the open house and bribe me to not have the open house for me to pay more. If I could give her ZERO stars I would. Things are very bad at the moment and there is so much uncertainty everywhere you look. I was representing the seller of a home and when we put the listing live we had several offers all in the same range. Because of the worldwide pandemic, things are very unpredictable. Loans are not getting to the finish line and people are very nervous about being able to complete an escrow. In a typical Real-Estate Transaction, there are several milestones that you work towards to complete things in a timely manner and get to the "Finish Line". Because of all of the uncertainty, people on all ends of transactions are very worried about removing contingencies and moving past these milestones without protections. I was referred to Laura by my cousin who had used her to refinance their home. My cousin told me…read moreshe had had a good experience with Laura and that she highly recommended her. Additionally, two more of my close friends had used her and said her work was satisfactory. Initially when I met Laura I felt that she was knowledgeable and I felt comfortable moving forward with my refinance using her. However, as soon as I told her I was ready to move forward that is when things started to go wrong. First of all, she picked an escrow company out in Santa Clarita (and I live in Sunland) and told me to expect a package in the mail in the following week but two - three weeks later I didn't receive anything. I had to follow up with her to find out what was going on because at this point the interest rates were really low so I wanted to get the process going before the rates went up. Only after I followed up with Laura did she inform me that the escrow company she had picked was moving really slowly and only then did she pick a new escrow company. My complaint here is this; why do I have to be the one to follow up? Isn't it her job to follow up with the escrow company to make sure the process is moving forward? After the escrow incident, she told me I had to do an appraisal on my property. She told me that the appraisal would cost $450 - and that this was the only "risk" I would be taking to see if my property would qualify me for a refinance. So the appraisal came back with good numbers and at this point, it was Laura's job to keep an eye on interest rates and call me to lock in a good rate before they went up. And from that point on, Laura essentially disappeared. She was extremely difficult to get a hold of, she wouldn't answer my calls and would take days to call me back. The problem here is that interest rates were changing daily. For whatever reason, long story short, Laura never followed up in a timely manner and never attempted to lock in the interest rates. She also failed to mention that the appraisal was only good for 90 days, which eventually 90 days later my appraisal was no longer any good and interest rates were up and it was no longer to my benefit to refinance. Let me add that I did my part to follow interest rates and to call, text and e-mail her. I was consistent in my follow up as a consumer. What I do not understand is that she didn't lock in my rate and move forward with the refinance. Now I've lost $450 and am stuck with my current mortgage which I was hoping to get out of. I DO NOT recommend working with Laura. I would say do your research and shop around with brokers. And do your part as a consumer to stay on top of the procedures involved in a refinance.

I met Laura over 10 years ago through a referral from my CPA. I was interested in learning to invest in real estate and Laura sat down with me for nearly 2 hours and explained what I needed to do to prepare to invest. It was nearly 2 years later that I finally had everything in place to start investing and Laura patiently helped me get ready to move forward. In the beginning, I was only using her as my mortgage broker. She was incredible at counseling me and explaining every detail of what was going on every step of the way as we immediately jumped in to buying multiple investment properties right away. She was excellent in finding the best lenders for our needs and the most efficient at getting our paperwork put together properly. There was even a time where she found a lender that had better rates for our specific needs that she was not working with directly and helped us get the loan even when she was not getting any financial benefit for it. Right away, we started investing in more and more properties and started to use her as our real estate agent and as our mortgage broker. Over the years, we have done over a dozen loans with her and she has helped us be very profitable with our real estate. There were too many times to count where (thankfully) she advised against properties I was looking to invest in. She has so much REAL experience in so many facets of the real estate industry, it's mind blowing. There were times I'd be calling her 10 times a day (not an exaggeration) for questions and it would always amaze me at how she could figure out the best strategies to fit our goals. At the market downturn, I got into a situation where I needed to short sell my primary residence (I bought this property before I met Laura). Laura was well ahead of all the other real estate agents in getting home approved for short sale and understood how to negotiate properly to get it moving. As with so many different real estate transactions I've dealt with, there was a strange unforeseen hangup at the very last minute. With Laura as my agent, hangups were very rarely on our end of the transaction, but usually the buyer or the seller we were dealing with. Real estate can be very frustrating and stressful when things that are not in your control start to unravel. Having Laura as our real estate agent and broker, I learned to relax at times when most people would be having a heart attack. I can honestly say, "If Laura can't solve this problem, no one can."
