I don't know what's happened, but CubeSmart on Coit has really gone downhill. I've posted 3 pics of what it's looked like for weeks now (end of April 2024). It's disgusting. There's garbage everywhere. The gate is always open; I don't know if it's broken or what, but I can't remember the last time I saw it locked. There's no one in the office, either. Nevertheless, they've raised the rents (of course). I vacated my unit, and I gave written notice via email but I haven't received a reply, confirming that they're aware of this. I've also made numerous phone calls, but no one has answered the phone, so I've left 3 voicemails stating that I'm moving out, and requesting someone call me back to tell me when someone will be in the office so I can turn in my keys and lock, but so far, none of my calls have been returned. I can no longer recommend this facility to anyone.

I also like that they had surveillance up on the outside areas of the whole property but also inside the units. Air conditioned coverage for most units on the property and they also have units for vehicles or just if you need a bigger unit which are all located on the outside. The only suggestion I'd make is to install the mirrors to be able to see traffic approaching when you are circling through the parking lot areas whether you are entering or leaving. They have signs up for this though. Also you have to be mindful when entering/existing as it's one way in and one way out.

The staff here is always cordial and professional and they always show care and concern for clients. I'm really grateful to know that my belongings are safe and that if I do have a problem I can talk to people who will listen and be a part of the solution. I am also blown away to learn the facility has never had a single break in to any unit on the whole property! Pretty impressive!

My rent has already increased from $99 for a 10x15 a/c unit to $121! Unreal. I have to move these. My other unit is around $300. Unfortunately, I am recently disabled making it very difficult for me to accomplish. I can say that my belongings have always been safe, climate controlled, the property is very well managed. My ONLY complaint is it's overpriced.

There's no mysterious fees during the move in and the lock is complimentary. Also access is 24 hours a day with no surprises like codes changing out of nowhere. Not trying to slam the others but it's nothing like "snatch & grab" places like Public Storage or Extra Space Storage with extremely high turnover rates for auctions.
