Jesus and the crew were awesome caring folks. Was passing through going to Marietta Ca. When I broke a cv axle. They not only took me first based on my needs at around 2:30 they ordered the part I needed had it there in the shop at 8:30 the next morning. In the mean time the put two new tires which almost blew up due to the damaged cv axle. They directed me a hotel and in the morning finished the job. Fantastic work awesome crew. My car broke down late on a Sunday and I live out of town. The tow guy had suggested that I take my car to Rigos. I had my car towed there and I got a ride back home. I called Monday morning introduced myself and asked if he could work on it. He said he could. I have extra insurance and I was trying to explain to Rigos that I needed a diagnosis from him so I could talk to my insurance company so they could cover the costs. He said he had to order some bolts and then would be able to give me more information. He said it would take 4 days for the bolts to come in... ( really I found out that it takes a day for the bolts to come in) I called him the day after the bolts were supposed to come in and he was very wishy washy with me and said the bolts came in late the night before and he will get back to me. I wait for his call...nothing. Finally a week later I called the dealership and made arrangements to have my car taken to them since this guy was not helping me. Once the car was at the dealership and they were working on it they said they needed the bolts from Rigos. They called him and he said he would sell the bolts back to the dealership at 3 times the price he paid for them. The dealership and I decided to order new ones.. and it ONLY TOOK A DAY to get he bolts NOT 4 days as Rigos had lied to me about. Rigos was rude on the phone, spoke down to me and clearly disliked dealing with me because I am a woman. I would not let my worst enemy take their car to this man!! read more

I highly recommend this auto repair shop! As I was driving from Santa Barbara to the bay area with my entire life packed into my Chrysler 300, my car freaked and I had to pull over in a rest stop right past Camp Roberts. Long story short, the shop was closed when my car got towed there but the lot owner let me keep my car there over night (I was a little tentative at first because the place had a sketchy vibe at night). The next morning I couldn't believe my change in heart. Jesus was a huge help ordering the necessary parts quickly while pulling some strings to get the parts to the shop faster. After he diagnosed the problem he even drove me to my hotel and back to the shop when the car was ready FOR FREE! Jesus is truly God sent in the middle of nowhere. My son was moving to SB for the fall term with his gf with all of his stuff in the car. He said their car started shaking when they passed by San Ardo so they immediately pulled over thinking it was a transmission problem. Rigo's was the closest mechanic and he made sure they were picked up by a tow truck when nobody would take them. He called from time to time making sure that they were able to get a hold of the towing company. It is easy to fall prey to a mechanic when you're in the middle of nowhere, but I tell you - Jesus is the most honest man I know and has restored my faith that there are still good people out there. He looked at the car, drove it, and when he returned he said that there is nothing wrong with the car and they can drive it to SB. What he found was that whoever did the previous repair on the engine did not do a good job, as the engine support was not done properly - hence, the shaking. He certified that the car is drivable, sent them on their way and just told them to have it fixed when they get to SB after they settle in. If any of you encounter any car problem in this area, Rigo's is the place to go! Please spread the word as this man deserves to have a booming business. read more

After being ripped off by several shops in Paso Robles, I had a bad taste in my mouth for mechanics. I drive a German car and frankly, it's a needy cry baby, so when my serpentine belt broke on the freeway I freaked out. With my bad experiences with shops and a limited budget I called several shops late on a Friday, all of which were closed. After searching the Internet for a shop that would still be open, I found Rigo's Auto Repair. Jesus, the owner and proprietor, spent about a half hour on the phone with me, helping me to figure the source of my problems and reassuring me that he could figure it out for a fair price. I had it towed to him and it was out of the shop in 2 days (water pump from out of state). While in his care, Jesus took it upon himself to tighten my exhaust manifold and give the rest of my engine a going over, at no additional cost. He made me a detailed list of potential problems to look out for (Did I mention my car has 120,000+?) including which problems should take priority. When all was said and done I was of there for less than half of the other quote I received for the water pump alone. Rigo's Auto Repair provides an attention to detail as well as a "do the right thing" attitude. I would have gladly paid for the repair to my exhaust and the quote, he insisted that it was his obligation as it was an easy fix. I have finally found a trustworthy and fairly priced mechanic in Paso Robles and would recommend him to anyone. read more
