Flexibility: Michelle was flexible to our needs and allowed us to keep the kayaks as long as we wanted, and was there to give us the kayaks and coordinate the drop off as well. Straightforward pricing: Pricing was clear and straightforward and just as stated on the website and in all communication with Michelle. The Kayaks were $45 for a full day of use! Convenient location to Payson and Willow Lake: We were staying in Payson, and the kayak pick-up and drop off point was incredibly convenient. Dog friendly: Our pups enjoyed getting in the kayak, as seen in the pictures! They had a great day as well! What a great way to explore the lake. We rented two kayaks from Rim Country and they made it super easy. I drive a convertible so no picking up kayaks for me! They drop them right off at the top of the hill where you can dump them in the water and they come and pick them up as well. Make sure you make a reservation. read more

We had an incredible time from start to finish with Michelle. She was responsive and so sweet and personable. She met my husband and I at the storage to load the kayaks and spoke with us about what type would be best for our first time out. Michelle helped to load the kayaks on our vehicle, as we had never attached anything before on the top of the car and she made sure it was secure for our drive. Hands down one of the most amazing customer service experiences I have ever received. Michelle and her team were incredibly accommodating, friendly and super helpful when trying to decide which lake to go to. She helped my mom and I strap two single kayaks to my Hyundai Santa Fe with no problem and the drive there was a breeze, she even offered to help strap back up at the lake at the end of the day! Michelle is absolutely amazing! We were visiting Payson and had no idea what to do. Came across this yelp and called the number, had a 15 min chat with Michelle about what we wanted to do and how long we were in Payson, not even taking about renting a canoe lol. She gave us step by step direction to the river that was near by and it was absolutely beautiful. The next day we met up with her and she helped us with a boat that fit 4 people, again gave us step by step direction of how to get there, what to take (we got some wine and food to picnic around the lake). We even got to meet her new Lab puppies which we almost took home but couldn't because they were too young. She's lovely and very knowledgeable about this beautiful little town. I made a reservation with the owner (Michelle) on Friday for the next day. She said they were running low and wasn't exactly sure what was available, but was sure she could accommodate the 4 of us, as we were flexible and willing to take anything. Long story short, We were stood up (along with another sweet family from Phoenix). The lake goers there told us a lady backed her truck up and unloaded a bunch of watercrafts. It was evidently like a shark frenzy and she was heard saying "Well, someone is gonna get screwed." She left and we were there for three hours waiting, as she said by phone she was coming back. She never did. We wasted our day. She told me I could come back and she would let us go rent free...but why would I drive all the way there just to likely waste my time again. She said on the phone when I called to see where she was that she had to deliver life vests (which checks out because lake goers told us kayakers were getting ticketed for no vests...that should have been supplied). Later, she texted that she didn't work that day because her family member had an incident she needed to take care of. She told me herself she was delivering vests...so she was there. She tried to say it was an irresponsible employee that gave the boats away. Unless you have a day to possibly waste, you may want to go to Woods Canyon Lake. They have rentals, life vests and employees there all day. Thanks Michelle. We'll never get that time back. read more

My daughter and I went up to Payson for just the day, last minute decision and we decided to kayak as soon as we got up there. We needed to find a kayak rental on the fly and we came across RCR. I called the number and left a message about renting kayaks and we got a call back from Michelle within 20 minutes. I was so happy because we got there later in the day and I was concerned we wouldn't have time to kayak but we got it figured out. My daughter wasn't comfortable with renting two separate kayaks so we decided to rent one double. The kayak was extremely heavy and I felt like it would be a huge uphill battle trying to get it up on my Jeep, even with help. Luckily Michelle was on her way to the lake with other kayaks people were renting for the day and was able to transport our rental kayak in her van. We followed her to the lake and she helped us carry it down. She was so helpful and interactive with the whole process. When we were finished kayaking she was still in the area and helped us transport the kayak to her van. I was so grateful for this amazing five star experience and customer service. It would have been a very tough day with the small timeframe we had to do this all ourselves. The lake was great - very calm and easy to get around. Michelle was very friendly, responsive, and helpful. She enthusiastically explained all the options and was very flexible. Michelle brought all the SUPs and kayak to us at the lake and let us use the equipment until we were too tired to paddle any more. She even took photos if us at the end. Our family had a great time and are encouraging others in Phoenix to give it a try next time they head to Payson. We went Memorial Day weekend and the water was a little cold, but not too bad. It was nice to be able to rent in Payson. However the inventory was limited. This company is run out of a home. All equipment was pretty well used and worn. The owner communicates well over text messaging. Not so much over email or website. The rate was a little high. No discounts for multi rentals. Come with your muscles because you will need to help load and unload equipment during pick-up and drop-off. Come with your own trailer or rent a U-Haul trailer because they do not have trailer transportation. Did not meet the owner at all. read more
