I was hesitant at first because doing anything in a group setting with people I don't know is really outside of my comfort zone. I decided to take a leap of faith and signed up for a trial membership. The first class I took was a Basics class with Jodi and I was completely blown away! She is so kind, compassionate and encouraging. She gives off such an amazing energy and I felt immediately comfortable with her. She is a phenomenal yoga teacher and I love that she provides assistance when I need it. She taught me how to do a headstand and I never in a million years thought that was something I'd be able to learn. I also love attending Linda's classes. Her laugh and personality are so infectious and I get so much out of her classes, especially her Meridian Flow class. Janet is a great instructor as well, I took her yoga sculpt class for the first time last night and enjoyed it so much. One thing I really appreciate about Kula is that they say my name correctly when checking me in for each class. This really means a lot to me because most people that don't know me just call me "Sherry" which isn't the correct pronunciation. I've dealt with that most of my life so it makes me really happy when I come across people that actually say it right! Becoming a member at Kula has truly been one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. I haven't felt this good both physically and mentally in a really long time and I am so incredibly grateful!!

I came in at the suggestion of a friend who has taken the class before. There is a really affordable intro pass for new members. Setting up the pass and scheduling an appointment took maybe 5 minutes; it was so easy! The studio is located in a strip mall with tons of parking. The instructor for the day was so kind and walked me through everything I could expect, as this was my first time. She was even so kind as to lend me a matt, as I didn't own one. The class was HARD and wow it was hot, but because I was new, the instructor had me set up in an area that would get a little more air flow. She was so encouraging and I felt so refreshed after. The class is what you make it- if you really want to push yourself, you can, if you want to take it easy and take breaks, you can do that too and are encouraged to do so! Everyone was so kind and the instructor checked in with my after to see how I was and recommended some basic aftercare should I have any difficulties after the class. I will absolutely be returning!

Many of the instructors are kind and have good intentions, but the…read moreyoga code of ethics has not been followed at this studio, particularly in that instructors will do hands-on corrections without asking permission and will film you during class without your consent. Additionally, the instructors often go 5-10 minutes over the stated end time, and then glare at you if you have to leave on time to go to work. If the studio added more training for their instructors and followed ethical standards, along with private changing rooms, it has potential. Luckily I discovered a much better studio nearby with more classes, showers and changing rooms for the same price.

I suffer from many different chronic conditions that make it difficult for me to work out and stay in shape as best as I can despite. I went into the first class and walked out more energized, the right type of tired, and more hopeful that I found the right fit for me! I love how friendly and personable everyone is every time I walk in - the owner, front desk ladies, and the instructors! And I love the attitudes of all the instructors during the class, they push us to our best but also encourage us to meet our bodies where they're at. Everything about this place is amazing and I love being a member of something like this! Can't wait for more classes and to continue seeing how beneficial it is for my body and health and continue to see the progress! Update: I also love that it has a play lounge for my daughter to come join me, we make it a little girls time in our day! Customer service like that really sticks with you and honestly makes me want to come back. I took the hot HIIT class with Sidney and it delivered. Ambient lighting to start, then lights dimmed, music up, and suddenly it was go time. Great playlist, clear mic cues, and a seriously effective workout -- weights, core, warm-up, cool-down, the whole deal. Packed class but Sidney stayed very attentive, offering modifications, keeping everyone engaged, and bringing strong, motivating energy throughout. Only small note: shavasana felt a bit quick, but overall fantastic class. The studio itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed -- two large studio rooms, appreciate the mirrors to watch form, plenty of lockers and cubbies, multiple showers/restrooms, vanity areas, rental mats/towels (huge when traveling), tons of heated class options like yoga, yin, Pilates, barre, and HIIT, plus a separate red light therapy room that felt amazing afterward. Whether it's an all levels flow or a vinyasa flow she takes the time to cue everyone through the poses and offers adjustments throughout the class. She even finished off this most recent class with a lavender-scented shoulder press which relaxed me after a long day. I pull definitely recommend her classes.
