Great service and advice. May have to visit as it was hard to get someone on the phone. Although this is a small store with minimal staff.

I took the time to search up on YouTube and fixed not just the audio but also the LED. It is very frustrating that he proceeded with "fixing" the device, when we agreed on the initial assessment and quote in the first place. It was either done on purpose as a targeted ripoff or just being extremely unprofessional, along with the very poor skill demonstrated about present generation technology. Anyone who knows how to watch and learn from videos on YouTube can do better than him. Absolutely a disaster and a disappointing experience for me. Will not return nor recommend.

When I was first contacted with the cost of repair, I was told "everything is ready to go". So it seemed I was not given the option of refusing the work: When someone says your stuff "is ready" it means the work is complete, so I naturally let him know I'd come pick it up ASAP. However, after an abrasive conversation, I now understand what he meant was: the work "will be" ready, and had actually not yet been performed. When I arrived to pick up, I explained my situation to Oscar, that I would have appreciated an estimate before the work was done so I could refuse it. He then became very upset with me and insisted I had agreed to the work. I felt I'd been misled intentionally until Oscar said something that made me realize this was not at all intentional - this was a language breakdown that has spiraled out of control. When I told him he might have said "will be ready", he replied with: "Will be ready, it's ready, what's the difference?" Future and present, I tried to explain. He then angrily insisted I leave his shop and never return. I regret not asking for a written estimate first. This all seemed completely unnecessary, so hopefully this will help future customers understand that Oscar may interchange past/present/future verbiage. Even without his silly ban, I wouldn't return to AMI Electronics anyway, given how Oscar handled the situation with me, a prompt paying customer. He was rude and spiteful, going so far as to call my equipment "garbage". Nobody deserves that.

Dear Johnathan @ MobileKlinik Danforth…read more I wanted to send a heartfelt thank you for the tireless effort you put into resolving the technical issues with both my new and old Google Pixel devices. From the moment I walked into Mobile Klinik on Danforth, you treated my situation with care, patience, and real expertise--and it made all the difference. What stood out most was how thorough and persistent you were. You took the time to listen carefully, explain each step in plain language, and try every reasonable path to get things working smoothly. I never felt rushed, and you always checked that I was comfortable with the options and understood the trade-offs. Your calm, can-do attitude turned what could have been a stressful experience into a positive one. I also appreciate your attention to the small details--backing up what mattered, double-checking settings, and ensuring the transition between the old and new Pixel was as seamless as possible. It's rare to see someone go above and beyond with such genuine kindness, and it didn't go unnoticed. Please pass along my thanks to your team as well; the whole atmosphere at Mobile Klinik on Danforth was welcoming and professional. Still, it was your dedication and follow-through that truly earned my gratitude. Thank you again for everything, Johnathan. Because of your help, I'm back up and running with confidence--and I'll be recommending you and your location to friends and family. With appreciation, Jules

The following review was written 2020-01-10 (see previous review below):…read more I was apparently their first customer to buy the Note 8 from that store during their soft opening in Nov 2017. Since then I have purchased a few related accessories and my wife bought a S10 from them in Nov 2019. I've also purchased a 55" QLED TV from them in Nov 2018. I found out you can get free 12-month financing (at 0% interest) with a $45 up-front fee. During Black Fri or Boxing Day, they will even waive that fee! It is great having customer support (to ask questions) and repairs in one place near where I live. When I have problems or questions, I can walk there and ask someone live. During most of the year in 2019, they had several educational sessions. They also had TV watching experiences such as sports games and TIFF screenings, all free with free food! I also attended several cooking demos every other Wed where you get samples of the food being demonstrated! Throughout the 2+ years I've known them, their customer service has been excellent. The occasional TV salesmen didn't know their technical details well enough (I'm a techie!). The following review was written 2018-01-25: This is an ultra modern store with 2 storeys. Nice architecture inside. I have purchased products related to a Samsung Note 8, etc and the customer service during and after were good. You can try out their products (phones, tablets, TV, VR, appliances, etc). They have a section for product repairs, etc. I also like that you can get financing for up to 6 months, no interest. The grand opening was on Jan 25 with an event called Seoul Experience.

I went to Hi-Tech Seven Plus to purchase a power supply so I could test to see if that was the issue. I asked what their return policy was in the event that the PS was not the issue. They advised they could not afford to accept any returns. I did not purchase the product here as if it was something else I would have been stuck with an extra power supply. A standard return policy is a sign of a good business. If they cannot afford to accept returns then they cannot afford to lose customers to other competitors which do accept returns. I would recommend the store at least accept returns with a re-stocking fee like most other major competitors do in Toronto.

After 6 days the man finally called me and told me that I had multiple issues (not true) including the fact that I needed to re-install Windows (lol). I let him know that I didn't enter his store to get gouged and asked him to replace the screen. He agreed, at a fee of 200$. That including the 35$ original diagnostic (that I knew wasn't even needed). A fair price overall, however. After another week and a bit, the gentleman called back and told me that the screen he installed was too small and he could not find the right part from his distributors. Considering that, u would have to pick up my computer, in the same state as before. Suddenly the 35$ diagnostic became 50$, for untold reasons. I strongly disagreed, and he luckily recanted. When I took it to another repair shop 1 block North (Unistar-- highly recommend. They literally replaced the part and fixed the issue in ONE hour), they advised me that the original screen had been taken out and replaced with the one that did not fit. Oh, and Hi Tec Seven Plus had accidently (I hope) snipped the wire that connects the screen component. Basically, I could not possibly recommend this place any less. I cannot stress this enough. If in the area, GO TO UNISTAR at 517 Parliament. (And no, I'm not affiliated with them; it was just such a pleasure to deal with professionals after this experience.)
