I went to the Samsung store in Yorkdale Mall to prepare my Galaxy S25 ultra to be traded in for my new Galaxy S26 Ultra. Fortunately, there was no lineup. Preed, the Samsung agent who assisted me in preparing my S25 to be at factory level for trade in, was both friendly, efficient and took time to explain everything he was doing. The following review was written 2020-01-10 (see previous review below): I was apparently their first customer to buy the Note 8 from that store during their soft opening in Nov 2017. Since then I have purchased a few related accessories and my wife bought a S10 from them in Nov 2019. I've also purchased a 55" QLED TV from them in Nov 2018. I found out you can get free 12-month financing (at 0% interest) with a $45 up-front fee. During Black Fri or Boxing Day, they will even waive that fee! It is great having customer support (to ask questions) and repairs in one place near where I live. When I have problems or questions, I can walk there and ask someone live. During most of the year in 2019, they had several educational sessions. They also had TV watching experiences such as sports games and TIFF screenings, all free with free food! I also attended several cooking demos every other Wed where you get samples of the food being demonstrated! Throughout the 2+ years I've known them, their customer service has been excellent. The occasional TV salesmen didn't know their technical details well enough (I'm a techie!). The following review was written 2018-01-25: This is an ultra modern store with 2 storeys. Nice architecture inside. I have purchased products related to a Samsung Note 8, etc and the customer service during and after were good. You can try out their products (phones, tablets, TV, VR, appliances, etc). They have a section for product repairs, etc. I also like that you can get financing for up to 6 months, no interest. We went for the Samsung experience. That was pretty cool! We were covered with suits and a shirt. We played a VR game on a flip phone and tried to pop the balloons. At the end, we got sprayed with paint powder and got to keep the shirts as souvenirs. We also got emailed a slow motion video of us getting sprayed. It was not busy when we went on a Friday. I really just wanted help to get my phone charging again. So I went on the Samsung website for assistance and pricing for a new charge cable and block. I was received by Elliott. I asked the simplest question of the cost of cable and charge block. In return I got answers anything but what I was seeking. At the end of the conversation I asked where can I mail my customer experience from this customer service chat, namely the office address. Elliott refused to provide and advised me to go and place it to the Samsung Experience Store in Toronto. Some regrets for buying a Samsung product. And 30min waste of my time. read more

I am a Samsung product supporter so I am glad that they now have a Samsung standalone store that I can visit and try out their products. The set up here is really nice. I like the upstairs area where they showcasing their TVs. For their newer product S10, only a few in the front and it is supervised by product advisors. Good if you want to ask questions, bad when you just want to play with their products. They do have repairs and service department. I was told to bring my S8 here for warranty service but apparently the fastest way is to take it up to the actual authorized repair stores. read more

was trying to finance a projector with these guys, one of the employees seemed interested in the beginning and was actually working with me for a second, as soon as I mentioned that I am trying to finance it his face completely changed into some sort of resentment and he told me to set up paybright to see if i'm "qualified" then after I started setting up the service he told me they don't even have any in stock in the first place. so why even telling me to set up the thing and wasting my time? i'm literally just trying to get a projector for a meeting today in my new office... read more

We live in the US and we're trying to get my mom's Samsung galaxy 8 working in Canada We we're having a difficult time and stopped by the Samsung store in Eaton Centre. The staff were professional and knowledgeable. Fixed the phone settings in under 10 minutes. The store was very clean and definitely in a great location downtown. Good service everywhere except for the tech support desk. I've been here twice and the lines have been stupid long. The wait seems unnecessary when there are about 8 other staff goofing off in the service area immediately next to it. I love samsung products. This store is no Apple store. The Apple store is always busy, like they are giving away free stuff. This is my second time here and this store is simply not impressive. Customer service is below par. Apple and even Microsoft do a better job and I am team Samsung (2 active phones, a watch and a notepad). Looking for a watch strap repair, which apparently they don't do. They don't even stock them. Go online I was told dismissively. Well guess what, I didn't buy this online. Anyway, online is no help either. Big huge store with the same broken door for months now. Security guards hanging around like everyone is going to steal something and way too many stairs to climb up to the second level. Samsung needs to up their retail game. The store is lovely and large, well lit, with lots of space around the displays, which is a nice change from the Apple store at the other end of the mall. However, the service needs a SERIOUS upgrade - they could take a lesson from that same Apple store. I went in to purchase a usb-c charger for my new galaxy s9. All of the accessories that are on display (in box, available to be taken to the counter) are 'display only', which means that you need to find a staff member on the floor, ask them to retrieve the item you're interested in from the back, and then stand in line to pay. (There is also no indication that they are display only - they even have price tags.) They have 5 or 6 cashier spots available, but I've only ever seen two, or at most three, open at once. When I went in yesterday, I went through this whole rigamarole, stood in line, and waited for 10+ minutes, as both cashiers were dealing with phone upgrades/data transfer/whatever. When there was no sign of any movement, I walked out. Today, I went back, and took one of the 'display' items up to the front. I only stood in line for a few minutes, but then the cashier had to take the charger that I had taken off the wall, take it back to the display, go into the back and pick up another one, and bring it back. Why they don't have accessories available for purchase on the floor, and staff with mobile payment options available on the floor, I don't know. read more

Went into store looked around saw the 4d VR set and waited for sales person to finished setting up a person in front of me. Group of girls rushing in without bothering to see who was next. Sales pertain turns around doesn't even notices me or ask if I was next. Proceeds to setup the girls and than finally asks me. By that time I just forget it. No point asking about the system or any other interest in their products. Really needs to work in their customers service if Samsung wants people to buy their products. Think I'll stick with iPhones this coming year and look into other VR products. read more

I went to Eaton centre store to swtich over my Samsung phones. It took a while to transfer everything I needed to transfer over to my new phone. Maxwell Grant was the consultant who helped me and he was patient, professional, courteous and filled with product knowledge. He is a definite asset to your organization. If I could give the store 0 stars I would. The employees on the bottom of the store were friendly enough but it all went downhill after I went upstairs. There was one employee at the service desk, he was seeing another customer so I stood by the counter waiting. There was no greeting, no I will see you in a minute. Fair enough. But those customers left and this service guy still deliberatly ignored me. He answered the phone and went to the back a few times. After about the third time he came back from the back room after about 20 minutes he decides to help the guy who came way after me first. Saying it "will just be a minute". I am a very patient person and if it was just this that happened I wouldn't have bothered leaving a review. So I drop off my phone for a repair after he finally decides to talk to me and treats me like I'm a waste of time and space. I mention that the screen stopped working when I was on vacation. It could be because I got caught in a rainstorm but the phone screen didn't seem to stop working until a day later. It's only 6 months old and I hope it's a fixable issue. They say sure we'll have our techs take a look. They mention if there is water damage on the inside of the phone that is not covered under warranty. Hence the careful phrasing "water resistant" not water proof, but I have hope because this is the first time it's gotten wet and surely one rainstorm won't damage the phone. Come back in about 3 hours. So I went away. I must mention the employee who helped me when I got back, was very lovely and helpful. He goes back to talk to the tech and says sorry they found liquid damage on the inside of the phone, so I new screen will cost you approx. $260. I say "okay I'll think about it." And it takes them about another 20 minutes or so to give the phone back to me. Fast forward to me driving back to my home in Waterloo. I decide to take it to a Samsung Authorized Repair shop. Little do I know they open my phone and find NO SIGN of liquid damage. Meaning the people at the Experience Store did not even bother to open my phone. They made an assumption, told me they were doing something and did not bother to do their jobs. Now I'm a poor student, so imagine my surprise when I find out that my phone could and should be fixed under Samsung warranty but they did not bother to check. I am so disappointed in the Samsung brand and this store. I should also mention, I almost never leave bad reviews (the last one was when I got badly burned from a product that shattered on first use) and I have experience in working in customer service so maybe the first guy was just having a bad day. But to me this is unacceptable. Save yourself the parking or transit fare and go someplace else if your phone is broken. read more

AVOID SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS!! I wish I could give -5 stars for Samsung's shockingly abhorrent customer service. Their products are cheap and Samsung does not seem to care at all about helping their customers who spend hundreds of dollars on their products. My wife and I bought a Samsung 4K TV the other week believing that Samsung was a reputable company. Little did we know the nightmare we would experience in dealing with their customer service representatives for simple things like screws for a wall mount that Samsung will not provide and apparently does not carry.....for their own products!! They refer parts complaints to an outside company called J&J International, Inc. When dealing with J&J International, Inc, their customer service representatives rudely say they do not carry Samsung Parts even though Samsung refers their customers to this company and then they hang up the phone on you. You as the consumer have a choice where you shop for your electronics needs. AVOID Samsung like the plague. I will be letting my friends, family and anyone else I encounter from now on to NEVER purchase Samsung products as I will never give this company my business ever again. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!! read more
