The podiatrist (can't remember his name, but he was an older Dr.) started clipping my nails and was quite rough and hurtful. 2 toes started bleeding and a young man (Was his name Michael?) came in and bandaged up my toes when the doctor left the room. He was very nice and considerate. He saw the damage that was done. I have never had an experience like this in all the years I have been going to my original podiatrist. I wish I could add a photo of my little toe. I will lose my nail on that toe because of this doctor. it is still VERY PAINFUL. My appointment was back in February. I will try to add a photo on social media to alert people about this place. Be mindful of what doctor you get in this practice. STAY AWAY!!!!.

I had a horrible night because I had an ingrown nail and during the morning I called 10 places worried sick about my nail and none would take me in because the agenda was full. Until I called Monroe podiatry and the receptionist understood my worries and how much I was suffering and you know what they did? Ask the doctor to come in during a non-office day, at lunch, and treat my toe. Such a gentle and kind doctor, understood all my worries and relieved my pain in 10 minutes. He also gave me cream and antibiotics in case I needed it. I cannot thank this clinic enough. Far from home, alone, with so much pain and no one looking to help me, they were the ones who took the chance to make my day better. And now 24h later I could sleep, my toe is on the way to feel better and I can walk again. Thank you!

At this point, I am seeing a different podiatrist because the service of this practitioner neglected to address my injury (a sprained anterior tendon). The X ray that was done during my first visit was not weight bearing, it is the kind of X ray that would not show a fracture (my heel was X rayed because the pain was concentrated in this part of my body). The doctor did not feel my tendon extensively, he was just making sure it was not an Achilles. The prescribed anti-inflammatory medication was sent to the wrong pharmacy (10 calls later, I finally got the prescribed meds). During a follow-up visit 4 weeks later, I asked for a different medication because the first one was giving me terrible hearburn. The doctor could not come up with alternative titles. He did not touch the ankle. He never mentioned PT until I asked and on the referral he wrote "plantar fasciitis." He suggested an orthotic and maybe an MRI. A brace was never mentioned.  I just visited a different specialist who after a weight bearing X ray saw severe inflammation in my heel and could tell that I had a fracture from the past which, thankfully, looked like it had healed. I was diagnosed with anterior tendon sprain and got a brace. When this doctor heard my story above, she had one word to say: "Boys." And then sighed.  I recommend avoiding this practice.

I'm switching practices just so I don't ever have to speak to the receptionist again. She was…read moreutterly dismissive of my very easy ask that she forward DHS paperwork to the doctor. The doctor himself is professional and I have not had any problems with him. I scanned it cleanly and emailed it to the office. She took one look at it, called me back, and said she 'could' have the doctor look at it but that they just wouldn't be able to complete it. My case worker at DHS had deliberately told me to send this physical assessment to my podiatrist's office for temporary assistance. The receptionist was insisting that I was fine and that she could call DHS directly and tell them that I'm not having any issues, as if it were a threat. ...Why did I pay $200 for custom orthotics if I'm fine, then? This receptionist is simply an assistant, and yet she was acting as though she were both my doctor AND my case worker. I asked very politely if she could just have the doctor look at it and fill out any information RELEVANT TO PODIATRY, and sign it. I said I WOULD DO THE REST. ...She insisted I hang up and contact DHS, because she 'does paperwork all day', and apparently knows better than the local government. Extremely condescending and unprofessional. Don't even bother asking for more than the bare minimum. Waste of time and energy. Because of her incompetence, the deadline passed and my case was denied because I didn't have all of the paperwork in. I sincerely doubt she even told the doctor I called.

Saw Dr. LaRussa for bunion surgery using the arthrex method. Couldn't be happier with the results…read more He did a wonderful job and recovery was quite tolerable. Would highly recommend the surgery for those considering a solution to their bunion problem. Would have given 5 stars but he seems to have a problem with time management. 1. never made it to the zoom meeting he requested following surgery. finally had to call his office. 2. 1st appointment he was running 30 min. behind. not too bad but still 3. 2nd appointment he was running 45 min. behind. 4. 3rd appointment he was running 55 min. behind. This is ridiculous and truly there is no excuse unless he was suddenly called out of the office. I understand that there may be times when your time with the doctor is running a bit over but 45 and 55 min. is inexcusable. I can recommend him for the surgery but if you ever have to book an appointment, make sure you are the first of the day.
