Our New arrival is due in June and my wife and I were fed up trekking into Glasgow to check out prams etc . This store has everything you need for a new born and the staff were so nice and friendly (making a change from some of the stores in town) . We ordered our complete bedroom furniture which thankfully was on special saving me over £400 which they are storing for me until i can get the nursery in order . my wife cant decide which pram yet (they have so many to choose from ) but we will be back at Matchsticks to get one from them .

Tucked away in The Forge Shopping Centre, it generally isn't that busy, which makes it a little bit easier to rummage through the rails and take advantage of the goodies on offer. What I will say is that, for the size, they have an excellent selection and plenty of options. Perhaps it's because they sell the departments' bestsellers, but I find this unit easy to navigate as it is split off into relevent departments. (Rather than separate shops with a department or two each!) I like some of the womens stuff, but am mostly a Divided girl, and this store has them side-by-side so that you are able to browse both. Brilliant! They also have a great selection of accessories, particularly scarves, bags, and leggings. It's compact, it has everything in its right place, and you can be in and out with everything you want without having to visit 3 separate H&M stores.

I took a ring to be repaired and re sized. The actual repair took only a few days which i thought was very fast considering that the repair was not done on the premises. the only complaint that i had was the resizing. my finger was measured before the ring was sent away but on collection I tried the ring on and it was two sizes too big. this resulted in it having to be sent away again for the error to be corrected. this aside i woudl recommend this a a good place for a good choice of jewellery

I took my Swarovski watch in to get a new battery. They put in an old / dud battery (!), and broke my watch at the same time! This was confirmed by a watch specialist and in writing. Not only did they question my account (and his) of this (basically intimating that we were both liars) but they then flatly refused to have anything further to do with it. They didn't even offer to refund the cost of the (dud) battery!!!! I now have a broken watch and the full costs of its repair thanks to my visit. Had never visited them before this - and never will again. Dreadful company who treated a new customer with contempt. Clearly money and profit is everything, so beware. My advice - AVOID!

I was pleasantly surprised when I browsed around as more than a few things caught my eye. I find this shop hilarious as it has a really stagnant feel about it with bizarre music that sounds like something off of a TV shopping channel. You know, the ones on at dubious hours where they flog off what look like the remnants of an old ladies house starting at £9027354924 for a pair of curtains and get them down to £1. I'm not sure I would actually buy anything from here but I could see a few things looking good on a dining room table or as focal points in hallways or the like. Good for presents I guess and the prices aren't too bad either, I spotted a nice vase for £25, so good for a housewarming gift or something for a house proud family member. My friend was a huge fan of the chess board table mats complete with other decorative table stuff and a storage case also in keeping with the chess theme. This little set was £129 and although quite pricey, it was really unusual and if you like that kind of thing then why not? They also had a rather bizarre green ceramic horse/donkey thing and at £199 I'm at a loss to understand what you would do with it, where you would put it and why on earth anyone would want such a monstrosity?

The shop has an icy look about it, with just the glass cabinets holding the jewellery as you come in, and a kind of gray/blue, futuristic look surrounding everything. Minimalist I would say, in a good way, as it makes the jewellery the only focus because you're not peering about getting distracted by fancy interiors. Or maybe that's just me, my attention span is admittedly very short. The smiley lady helping me out with my browsing informed me that the shop stocks a lot of Greek silver designers, and there are certainly a lot of beautiful silver pieces. I thought the earrings and rings were particularly attractive. The simple combination of pearl and what looked like twisted silver in the rings, as well as the angular Coeur de Lion earrings in different colours, were very pleasing to my eyes. A good price range too, in the sense that you can come in and make a casual purchase if you see something you fancy, or go that bit higher in price if you're hunting for special occasion items.

There was a couple of things in there for a fiver but then again these were few and far between. For what you could get anywhere else for £50, they were charging £300 for something I knew was worth 1/6 price.
