Refusing to hem my dress and I insisted it needed to be done as I have children and I don't want to trip. Then the other dress also needed a hem. I spoke with them in the am and said dresses would be ready later in day but no time. We went at 3pm and only one dress was almost done. But thr other wasn't. I tried on my dress and it was ok. He said he would press them and deliver. Upon delivery I paid him in full. When I opened the bag it was 10000% not pressed and then the other dress the hem was insanely uneven!!! I had tot take one to the cleaners this AM and they pointed out so m ay issues and then the other we are taking to another tailor to fix! We drop off at the front desk, they pick up on specific days and bring it back on specific days. Pricing-wise, they are much more affordable than most. I wish there was an app where one could easily let them know what needs to be done, or tell them if you need something hemmed or fixed, but that is wishful thinking I guess. I got measured up and when I got up to the register I was shocked to see the price. It was double what Men's Warehouse charges (got married recently. I know how much they charge). I thought to myself, ok it's a small shop. I'm sure they make up for it with great customer service, something large corporations can't always do. Fast forward to August. I get a call late Wednesday night to come pick up my tux. I couldn't get there Thursday due to work, so I show up first thing Friday morning. I get handed my suit and get shuffled out the door. I request to try it on and that's where all the problems start. My jacket was like 4 sizes too small. The manager of the store begins his rant about how this is my fault because I didn't come in on Thursday. I tell him he needs to fix it and he said it won't be a problem because there's tons of material in the jacket. I took the rest of my crap suit and went home. I go back the morning of the wedding and "Moe" started looking for my jacket. I try it on and nothing was fixed. Moe confirmed my suspicions and told me it was my fault because I didn't come Thursday (again and again). I go through the wedding with a suit that was pilled and looked like it was dragged behind a pick up truck for a few miles. Of course I had to wear my tiny ass jacket that I couldn't button. I looked like Chris Farley wearing David Spade's jacket in Tommy Boy. Oh and on top of everything else, my shoes were two different sizes. Not shoe sizes, physical dimensions. One was about 3/4" too small. When I returned this sad excuse for a suit, I asked for a refund because services were not provided and I pretty much got told to go fuck myself. The manager walked out of the store right in the middle of a conversation. I spoke to the owner (I think?) and he said we would be getting an insulting amount of money back (which hasn't happened yet a week and half later) and they don't automatically give you back your deposit. How many people are they scamming for 40 bucks because they don't know better. Stay away and just go to Men's Warehouse. They have more resources and they give you a lot more time to make sure your suit or tux is right. These guys are just assholes. Plain and simple.

Ayokari Fashions was incredible. I had bought a dress off of the internet that I wanted to get…read morealtered because I wanted it to be more modest. I appreciated that Atecia listened to every concern I had. Through the process of trying to pin where the alterations would go, she would consistently check in with me to see if the fitting was too tight or loose, whether I would like more coverage, and how I would like the design to be. I appreciated the time she took to hear ALL of my concerns -- I never felt rushed and I always felt respected by her. This is in contrast to other alterations places I had called (they all tried to rush me and make me commit to things I didn't feel comfortable with). In the end, she turned a strapless dress into a beautiful, long-sleeve dress that people kept commenting on as we did our wedding photoshoot. I had no idea that it was possible to do as much as she did through alterations. For example, I had bought the wrong colored bolero -- my dress was a bright white, but the bolero was an ivory color. She worked MAGIC to fix it, as you can tell from the pictures. She hand-made another bolero for me and made it seem like the bolero was always part of the dress. I was SO pleased with all her hard work. Another important and great part of doing business with Atecia is that she works very quickly -- she knows exactly what to do, and her turnaround rate is very quick. It was a busy wedding season in August but she was always so calm and patient, even when I had last-minute requests. I had to do some one-week-before-the-wedding alterations and she was very accommodating. She finished the work within two days and I was seriously wow-ed.
