When I followed up again, I was told there may be other issues that would require additional costs and that the problem was not their responsibility, with the implication that I did not know how to operate a gas fireplace. I was told after from Miele that Man with a wrench attempted to get in touch with me but I have recieved zero phone calls or messages on the day the technician was supposed to come or the day previously. now I have rebooked for the upcoming Monday but there was no offer for a discount on the diagnosis or any reason to feel reassured that this won't happen again. He said the motor was covered by warrantee and to contact Samsung, so he did not fix it. Was charged ~$100 for service call. Conversations with Samsung went nowhere since I didn't have any forms or formal diagnosis to prove broken piece was covered by warrantee. Called a different company who came and fixed the pump which was the problem all along, as suspected. The motor was working fine.

The salesperson came by the following morning to take a look at what needs to be done. I decided to replace my aging furnace at the same time and the salesperson walked me through the set of rebates that I can get from both Ontario and Enbridge. They also recommended adding attic insulation, which I hadn't done and was much needed. The additional Enbridge rebate pretty much pays for the insulation minus the required energy audit. Constant Home Comfort was able to get local contractors to install the hot water heater and the furnace on the same day. The contractors rolled out a carpet to the basement so that they didn't track dirt into the house and they did a great job of cleaning up after. The contractors fixed some issues with the A/C coil leaking into the furnace. They also taught us how to maintain the new equipment. Constant Home Comfort also took care of the rebates and set up the visit by the energy auditor. They still have to add insulation to the attic, but so far I'm very pleased with their service. Constant Home Comfort takes payment through cheque. They also speak Mandarin.

We are just supposed to sit here in the scorching heat waiting for them to call the manufacturer who refuses to take their calls. The 24 hr service is an absolute lie. The units they sell are faulty. This company is a scam!
