A cool gem of a neighborhood located NorthEast of downtown. As a tourist I came here specifically to look at the murals in the alley between 26th and 27th streets. It was a nice 20-30m walk from Union Station. There are plenty of boutique shops (many well known brands like duer and Patagonia) around the general area and lots of art galleries as well as restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. People definitely live and work in this neighborhood as well and there are a number of residential blocks scattered throughout the area. Definitely you get a more warehouse/industrial feel here and I'm surprised this area has been able to ward off downtown encroachment like so many other neighborhoods in other cities have lost too.

Great little art district, lots of cute shops, a nice food hall and beer garden, together with a lot of street arts. If you like Dallas' Deep Ellum or Miami's Wynwood, you would absolutely love it here.

Where to head next ?????

This is a nice, colorful, walkable neighborhood in Denver. The River North Art District (RiNo) is part of Denver's Five Points, Elyria-Swansea, Globeville, and Cole neighborhoods. The boundaries of the area are: I-70 to the north, I-25 to the west, Park Avenue West to the south, and Arapahoe Street to the east. Today's North Denver's River North Art District is packed of urban charm, but before this renaissance, the area was dominated by lackluster warehouses and factories. Known to locals as RiNo, and pronounced like "rhino", the district began shifting away from its rough reputation to become a trendy hotspot in Denver. On the outside, you'll find alleys lined with curated graffiti and reclaimed warehouses splashed with vibrant murals. Open their doors to discover a wealth of inspiring maker and artist galleries, eclectic cuisine and a craft-beverage scene that reflects the creative spirit of the neighborhood. We had such a great time strolling around the area and checking out the nice funky, eclectic businesses....fun part of town...

A must visit area in Denver. It comes alive after the sun goes down so plan ahead as u might wanna stay back with so many businesses to go later. Start from one end and continue up and then go back enjoying as many murals as possible.

Cool vibes, lots of bars, restaurants and galleries to explore. Former sketch area that has been rescued and now attracts a young hip crowd

Tim came highly recommended by the staff at Disguises. I wanted something done for a party same day…read moreand without an appointment. Last minute I know. The day I met Tim was the same day that I waited for my room at the Sheraton to be ready. Big convention in town. I called him and told him my situation. We decided to meet at the Sheraton not knowing that my room won't be ready for hours. I updated him and told him if he's ok to do my face at the bar. He showed up. Armed with his magical tools that easily transformed my face based on my request: a SUGAR SKULL! We looked at his portfolio and decided on one that caught my eye the most. He's professional. Fast. Respectful and thorough! He's cool and basically adjusted to my situation and worked on me right there at the bar with people watching. I love my Halloween face. In fact, I won the first price that night! A high breed version of Gogo and Dia de Los Muertos! He is mobile and has one of those vehicles that is loaded with all that you need to transform you into something or someone that you want to be; right there in his vehicle. Very reasonable price to boot. I paid $45+ tip. He takes CC's and uses a square for that. He's worth it! Ten years shows in his awesome work of art. I'm already thinking about next year's Halloween or any excuse at all to transform myself into something out of this world! Thanks Tim!
