The car wash itself does not have anyone manning it instead there are signs that tell you to pull forward and when to put your car in neutral. This is the first time I've been to a car wash that does not have someone navigating you in it so I was a little nervous but I had no issues at all. The vacuum that I had must've just been so full or maybe had something stuck in it after the car wash because I did not have a very good suction. The only thing I would encourage the location to add are rags with spray on carts like I've seen at other car washes so people can wipe down the insides of their car without having to buy some thing from the vending machine. I think this is a nice bonus to add.

When I arrived, they were ready for me which was great. Two gentleman tackled my car and got all of the crooks and crannies that im unable to reach. My car wasn't that dirty so I can imagine it might take a little longer if your car has some deep, detailed work it needs. They did a wonderful job and my car felt like new when I got in. I have been to a few self service car washes and this is the first one where the name is Self…read moreService Car Wash...LOL. Yes this is as good as I think it gets. Most of the self service car washes I used are either shut down or in such bad shape and I wouldn't wash a pigs butt at most of them. This place is kept up, its clean, everything works including the money changer machine. They even have plenty of room where you can pull all the way up in back and dry your car off, this place was made and designed to be self service, you go to some and you have no where to dry your car off, because they want you to leave the property. I believe the parent company is in Alton, IL and they service all the way here in Florrisant, MO They vacuum cleaners, foaming brush, spot free rinse, and wax, tire cleaner, engine cleaner and of course your high pressure soap and rinse and even a presoak. The price is $1.75 and you get 4 minutes too. This is the only place I hand wash my car and do it myself. Sometimes there is even a guy that will dry it off for you for some extra cash, but I need all the exercise I can get.

I told him I had the coupon, what my car was and when I'd bring it. He told me it would take 2 hours-no kids, pretty clean car. I gathered my ride, planned the pickup time (I had to be at court later), and dropped it then. First off, when you go to the garage, it's not entirely clear where to pull it in (across from Jimmy Johns, "Reserved" entrance). Found that, but then I didn't know how to open the gate. I called Rocky at the Wash, but was holding up all the traffic. You have to push the button and the operator will open it. Ok, that's done. I get there but the owner, Rocky, wasn't there. I left my keys in the drop box, assuming he knew the appointment. Fast forward 2 hours. When I called, he said it would be ready at 11:45. After getting my ride to take me up there again, I hand the coupon for a DETAIL over, "that'll be $12.50", "huh?", and turns out all they actually did was wash the outside. What?! Called my ride, he turned around and came back to get me. I wasn't going to miss this opportunity for a good detail! I called again at 3:30 and he said I could come get the car. After hanging out at Starbucks for a while, I headed over. They insisted it was ready. Check out the photos, was it ready? $125 detail job ready? I planned my whole day around this, as I don't work downtown. The outside wash/wax gets a 4.5/5. There were still very dirty areas related to the outside but they were inside doors. But this is an expensive detail! Wax job was lovely, however. The inside left a lot to be desired. Mud was still in a few spots on the seats (when I got home I wiped it off with a cloth...), dirty cup holders, dirty door handle, dirty glove box, etc etc etc. See photos. Who would pay $125 for this? Not me. I'll be back to my regular General Grant Car Wash for a $20 wash/wipe and splurge on the $50 express detail which is much better than this! Maybe I didn't leave it long enough, maybe because I had a coupon (I told him I was reviewing), maybe they didn't like my car or I didn't look rich enough (I have $$ to spend, folks). I have no idea. For those that work downtown, you might have a better relationship but new-comers, I'd go somewhere else.
