I don't know how many times I had to tell them I don't smoke or drink. At what point are you all just not paying attention or do you want me to lie? I shouldn't have to tell you all I don't drink or smoke 10+ times. Read the notes you all are supposedly writing down. I'm serious about fixing my health. I don't have money for more organs. So either you're not that serious or you're just playing games. Ironic thing is that they asked me about caffeine and how much I consume in a day. I lied to them and they haven't asked about it since. Also Dr. Christopher Olivares CAN'T STAY ON TOPIC. I came to you all to fix my kidneys! Not some random fertility thing! Dr. Christopher Olivares is turbo weird. Saying random things like "are we going to have problem?" when nothing happened. I'm not the one that hired a guy to move the patients seat and hide behind it in a black suit. You all did. And asking if I could hear outside the room after I moved away from the door, and wall, were people were constantly talking on the other side and they were louder than the nurse in the room asking me questions. At which she was weird too. She would just sit there and say nothing so I'd stare at the floor. Or when he asked if my main doctor was a endocrinologist he said "Cool!" about 10x times. Like...what? You're not an endocrinologist either so what does it matter? It's not even your field. And fu for mocking things I said back to me. When I went home they wouldn't approve the imaging center I lived near. So now I have to drive 2 ish hours to get something done that I could have done in my home town. They put it down as Stat and all the imaging centers seem to either not care or put it 3+ days out. Stop yelling. Just because one nurse who wants to speak with a thick accent while whispering in a loud waiting room doesn't mean I can't hear you in a regular room. She also had a habit of ignoring questions then going back what she said. Like she asked about some kind of shot and I asked her if I get the shot would I have to take the antibiotics the doctor sent to my pharmacy (that delayed them for some reason). I even showed her their app and where it said it was delayed. She then ignored it and asked if I was on antibiotics. She knowingly asked this again for the 10th+ time after explaining I had run out, didn't get a refill, showed her the app, and was asking about the shot. She rarely answered any questions and kept ignoring everything other thing I said. Also it took me a while to remember, but no my "son" didn't call. You all called me about the appointment and I said my Dad was hard of hearing since he was driving me there. You all are the weirdest and worst group I've ever experienced. If you didn't help so many people in the area I would have wished this place was closed down. There wasn't any reason for any of your bs. Also your patient portal is complete crap. It keeps crashing and refusing to let me download my medical information.

I'm truly heartbroken by this practice because it felt like I found the perfect place to get my…read morepolyps, cysts and endometriosis resolved. However, after these two experiences, I decided to cancel my appointments and keep searching, because if they can't get simple things done correctly with compassion - how can I expect them to not mess up my surgeries? Firstly, I got my annual pap done by Patricia. She has a wonderful bedside manner and very professional. I felt at ease with her. However, my pap tests came back positive for chlamydia and this was utterly devastating, because I've been married for 13 years. Needless to say, the positive diagnosis resulted in a ton of confusion and stress between my husband and I that day. We both immediately went to get tested at two other clinics within 48 hours and the results all came back NEGATIVE. I called TX Uro & Gyn to tell them that the test they adminstered resulted in a false positive and there was absolutely NO compassion, NO apology, NO nothing...just a simple "okay" from the other side of the phone. Secondly, Patricia ordered some metabolic blood tests for me. These tests are tests I've already taken recently, so I downloaded my Labcorp results and sent them to the practice via email. Attached is a screenshot of their Contact page with a link to the email link for *specifically sending medical records*. After a week of no replies, I called the practice, left two voicemails (no one called me back) and on the 3rd try, I did get a hold of someone. I asked if the office had gotten my records. She told me no records had been received and asked how I sent them. I told her I sent them through the email indicated on their website for medical records. She was very confused, and said they don't have an email, and I explained to her it's on their website for their practice and their location. I told her that the email is specifically for medical records, as indicated on the Contact page. She transferred me to Jackie, who was incredibly frustrated and kept interrupting me while I tried to explain how the records were sent. I told her that there was no reason for her to talk over me, to interrupt or to be frustrated, that this problem was not targeted to her personally, but rather, that there is a problem with the website and they shouldn't have that on their site if no one is receiving emails. She changed her tone, but the answer was the same: "they don't have access to that email, and they don't manage the website - Google does". I asked her where my medical records were, and she told me she didn't know. After this, I immediately cancelled my biopsy and my hysterectomy surgery. It really sucks to have to do that because I have been searching for a doctor to help my situation, and Dr. Farnam came highly recommended from my hormone doctor and my primary care doctor. But as I mentioned earlier, if the practice cannot get the simple basics right, how could I possibly risk my actual life with them? It seems like this practice is rife with clerical errors, and that's not something I'm willing to risk, especially for such a sensitive surgery. I really hope this review helps others out there. I see other women have experienced some similarities with the staff, but there are others who have had wonderful experiences. Surgeries are always a risk, no matter whom you go to, but I'd rather work with a practice that is cohesive, where everyone truly cares about the patients, and they have a high attention to detail. As a practice, your front desk staff are the first-line of contact with a patient, and if that side of the practice isn't on the up-and-up, it reflects badly on the entire practice as a whole.

The new unit was MRI compatible and she had a couple MRIs for other reasons following the surgery that Farnam failed to do properly. The metal left in her could have caused serious issues but luckily they didn't. As a result of the radiologist sharing the fact that she had a piece of metal in her, she checked her progress notes from Farnam and there was nothing in the notes about the piece left in her. In addition, at every appointment she has had, there has been at least a 1 hour wait time, sometimes longer. This guy boasts about all of his expertise, but clearly doesn't care about the individual patient. My wife has transferred to a urologist in Tucson and won't be back to see Farnam.

Eventually after I got married, my husband and I began trying to have children. After a year went by we saw a fertility doctor in Houston who diagnosed me with stage 2 endometriosis. This doctor said my only options were iui or ivf. I was devastated. So I did some research and found Dr. Farnam in El Passo. My husband and I flew out from Houston for my consultation appointment and Dr. Farnam was confident that he could remove all of my endometriosis which would allow me to conceive a child. So, we scheduled the surgery and two months later we packed up our truck and 3 dogs and made the 12 hour drive across Texas. We rented an air bnb for a week and it was perfect. My surgery went amazingly well. And turns out I was originally misdiagnosed and actually had stage 4 endometriosis! Dr. Farnam removed all of the disease along with my appendix. A little over a month after my surgery and I was pregnant!!! I am 15 weeks along now and couldn't be more thankful. G-d truly preformed a miracle by guiding me to find Doctor Richard Farnam. Thank you Dr. Farnam for all you and your staff have done for me and my family. You will always have my deepest gratitude.
