Miri Beach is only reachable from the city of Lucena in Paraiba, Brazil, but actually belongs to the municipality of Mamanguape. It sits about 5 kilometers (3 miles) north of the center of the city of Lucena. It sits about 6 degrees below the Equator, so the water here is always warm. There is a confluence of 2 rivers at this beach: the Miriri River and the Bonsucesso River. It is a completely isolated bit of nature. You can walk here, but it is far, so you are better off going by car along the beach.
This is a really stunning place to visit: you have 1 river that is small and shallow that you can walk along; there is a cliff overlooking the beach and many mussels growing on the rocks in the river. If you are planning to stay here for a while, bring a cooler with some beverages (adult beverages?) and then you can enjoy this pristine nature. During the week, you will have the place all to yourself. read more
