The work done was highly unprofessional and unsatisfactory. They got paint on our floors, on our furniture and linens, did not remove switch plates before painting, painted a room the wrong color, got wall paint all over trim. Very sloppy drywall repair and completely unsatisfactory trim woodwork. The company has several crews of workers, so you don't know who you will get. After much (argumentative) back and forth with the company, they did send someone to fix mistakes. Thankfully they sent someone different (Danny) who was honest and skillful. He spent 3 full days fixing the mistakes of the original crew.

Water in the basement hasn't happened in the last thirty years or so. KPM examined everything and suggested it was the way the gutter was put back on the roof after cleaning it of debris. (The actual gutter installers cleaned the gutters. Gee, won't be using them again. But I digress.) KPM came back a couple of days after they gave us an EXTREMELY REASONABLE price quote and performed the work. Sheer perfection. I never really noticed the gutters on the back deck were "off." He also coordinated with a line painter to paint the parking spaces, handicap space, and bumpers. The sealcoating came out nicely, however the painter didn't paint the bumpers, I was told that he left the stencil in his other truck. I was told by Joe that the painter would return to complete the job (as was paid for) and that Joe would return to stake the bumpers and complete the project. Incredible work by Marco and Jessica! We needed serious help to finish a new fireplace…read moreinstallation that had been badly botched by a previous contractor. After interviewing multiple painters we chose to go with the husband/wife team of Marco and Jess because of their portfolio of work and the sense that they would treat our home as their home compared to the more impersonal competitors we met. We also liked that MJ have capabilities beyond painting because we knew that our project might require special handling. Marco and Jess were punctual, communicated timing and expectations perfectly, and kept us in the loop at every step along the way. What I love is that they were problem-solvers. While they identified all important items before the job began, as they progressed some unique factors of our project emerged and they were able to quickly pivot and provide solutions. And those solutions weren't intended to add more hours to beef up the bill. At the end of the project they could easily have wrapped up and left but they made a critical suggestion to help improve the final product beyond what we expected. After we accepted their suggestion it took additional time and effort for them to finish the job, but they were absolutely right with their idea and we are beyond thankful for their insight and expertise. They don't use sub-contractors but have their own crews for bigger jobs. A couple anecdotes to illustrate the level of care they showed. After they were done, I noticed that they were on the hands and knees looking for any little droplets of paint that escaped their coverings. Jess fluffed up pillows and restored the workspace in an extra gesture that no other contractor has ever done. And after I paid them (all at the end-they didn't ask for anything up front) and while we were chatting, Marco happened to notice a tiny paint stroke in a high corner that wasn't as straight as he would have liked. He went back to his vehicle and got everything out to make a quick fix. Everything looks great and I have confidence that if for some reason something went wrong they will stand by their work with no hassles. We have another painting job we'll need done later this year or early next year and I already know that I won't need to put it out for bid. Marco and Jess have earned my trust and gratitude for their work and their professionalism. They are also very nice people!
