The museum purchased the hardware which you installed and this includes the threshold. The threshold is now trash. Let's be very clear: You did not spend "over $1400 on this project without ever being reimbursed". You BILLED $1400 for shoddy labor. You actually "spent" $74.88 on misc. items (the included picture shows the invoice in dispute). Your comments on this are misleading, disingenuous and a vain attempt at deflection. If I mess something up (which has happened), I own it. I apologize for where I went wrong and I make damn sure that the person employing me is super aware of what I will do to make it right, even if it's ad nauseum. Situations like this can be the best opportunity to establish and maintain integrity or destroy it. All I see in your response is excuses and no ownership of your failures. If you want to go back and forth and dig in, be my guest. Yelp is a way for the consumer to understand who they are employing, and I fully support transparency with EVERYONE, including those I do business with. I suggest you do the same.
