She showed me one product that seemed to be the stores number one seller, The Pedi Bars. Homemade with a list of beautiful simple ingredients, with a piece of sea loofah in the core of the bar! They come in TONS of scents as well!!! I purchased only one.....(because I'm Cautious.. With my sensitive skin...and because sometimes fragrances give me migraines) and I also purchased one body butter 2oz jar, in the scent of Banana Coconut Smoothie. AMAZING scent!!!!! Very sugary sweet and tropical. Total for my two products: $10.45. (What a deal) After a long day sight seeing and walking a long way back to our hotel, I was tired and ready for bed. However, l was curious about the pedi bar I purchased. Long story, a little shorter... ..... I gave myself a mini-pedi. I LOVED THIS BAR!!! It was more than amazing! My feet felt amazing! So very soft and smooth. I've never used anything that has worked better!! I was in love! The next day, I made my husband take me back so I could buy more, and buy extra for gifts! This isn't a store for all as some of the items may turn a stomach or two. Lots of antique and vintage skulls, sculptures, lots of Victorian period items, weird medical devices that were used somewhere at sometime. My mouth did drop open a time or two while browsing. I understand that they make their own candles which made the store smell delightful. Pricing is fair for most items. I did end up with a couple of prized possessions. I saw that they perform tarot readings in the back of the store for a fee. Service was friendly and helpful. If I lived here I know I would probably be a regular shopper here.

Right up from the parking lot at Nye Beach, this gift shop is in a very walkable area of Newport with lots of great shops and restaurants. This is essentially a gift shop for women. Lots of cute things, arranged in darling ways on vintage furniture and in handsome displays, this a great place to pick up a little something for a friend you might be visiting or want to bring a gift. While there's more "made in China" stuff than I like, there are also handmade and locally made items. It's not so much the items that catches your eye, though, as the arrangements and the suggestions for what can be done with things. Which is what makes it such a great gift shop. You'll be attracted to a section -- kitchen, jewelry, bath, etc. and then find yourself discovering all kinds of neat things in that theme. They have cute little gift bags with their logo on a sticker and it in itself makes fine packaging. The idea of the gift coming from a store by the sea is romantic all on it's own.

I have purchased several plants, a handmade butter crock, solid shampoo, and a dishwashing soap block and brush. That's just barely scratching the surface! You'll find both standard and bulk bath and body and cleaning products (for refilling your own containers), incense, candles, planters and pots of every sort (some vintage), even pet toys! They also often have gorgeous fresh cut flower bouquets. Prices are very reasonable, particularly for of-the-moment plants like micans, trail of turtles, etc. The employees are sweet and fun, and there is always a fun new item or ten to check out. I end up here most weekends and just enjoy exploring the charming space, even if I don't buy anything. It is a truly lovely spot. Of note, while Mac Market is open 8-8, Sustainable Rituals is open 11-6, so don't make the mistake I once did of grabbing some breakfast at Mac Market and tragically realizing you can't stop here to pick up a pretty plant after. Do, however, make a strategic plan to visit both. You'll get some great groceries and a meal or snacks at Mac Market, then whatever home goods you need (and some you don't, but must have!) from Sustainable Rituals.

I originally wrote a raving review for Rife's in Corvallis, Oregon because of the superior customer…read moreservice, but now I must write one for the Stanton couch and sofa I bought. I was concerned about the fabric on the sofa because of the low pile on the fabric, but I was assured that it wouldn't flatten after some use. Well, after only a couple months of sitting on it, the fabric has flattened and won't refresh to look like it was when new. Their solution? Just brush it with my hand or turn it over or move it to the other side. The cushions are heavy and to move one you have to lift the back cushion and push the bottom cushion under it at the same time. This is easier said than done. It is painful when you trust someone as I did in this store, and then to find out I was naive to do so. Not only that, the cushion I sit on the most has sunk down over an inch from the one next to it. My previous couches were about 16 years old before I noticed any wear on them! With Stanton it's only been a couple months. None of what I'm experiencing is covered by warranty. I can only imagine what I'll be dealing with over time. The pillows that come with the couches are so firm and huge that you can't put them behind your back while sitting or you will be seated much too forward off the couch. I was told I could pull the stuffing out, so I did. Now the end where the zipper is is rippled because the stuffing is inserted by machine and it's near impossible to get it even and firm as it is when new. They never should have told me I could pull the stuffing out to make the pillows thinner this way. What I've written is basically cosmetic, but to spend over $1000 per couch and have the cushion sink and look worn should not happen in such a short time!

We were looking for a couch and were told about the benefits of various couches, including lifetime warranty, and asked about what we wanted from the couch (nothing too soft but not incredibly firm). Delivery and set up was a reasonable cost. There is a return policy but be aware that you would need to pay for the truck again. They will price match so it's a nice one stop place to shop for your furniture needs.
