One of my favorite places in Newport. A really well executed witchy store that is fairly large and has a broad selection of candles, incense, tea, books, divination cards, clothing, jewelry, crystals, knick knacks, and assorted accoutrements. Beautiful objects presented in a beautiful ambiance. My favorite offerings are their house made candles, soaps, incense, and altar sprays. They have recently added wax melts to their lineup, which I am absolutely over the moon about, as I much prefer these for daily use. Be sure to visit their sister shop, Femme Fatale, down the street; it's a darker counterpart to Bohemian Candle's white witch vibe. read more

We have purchased some really cool crystals and candles from here for, in my opinion pretty good prices and can walk around for quite awhile just looking at all of the cool products. Delightful Experience @ Bohemian Candle in Newport, OR. !! What a wonderful presentation of Enlightenment! We thoroughly appreciated all this store has to offer. We felt welcomed and admired how beautiful the merchandise was displayed. I was also fond of the information cards displayed throughout with stones, jewelry, etc. The colorful, ornate home goods were exquisite. Spend almost 200 here on Saturday. Two rings. One ring, fine- worth the 60$ and I was in love with the other one (112$!) but... it freeking broke! It's Tuesday. The ring didn't even last three days!! I didn't hit it, I didn't damage it, I don't even wear it in the shower! And now I paid over 100$ for CRAP product. I tried calling and no one answered... I am so freeking upset . I loved this place! They were a very unique shop in a series of shops as we strolled by them in Newport. The place has a Gothic like atmosphere in addition to Bohemian. Staff were very friendly and helpful but what really got me excited here was their incense selection. They had the typical fragrances that you come across when you are browsing with incense but they also had very unusual scents as well in which I bought a fair amount of... the unusual ones. That alone will have me coming back to purchase more of since I can't find the unique scents anywhere where I live. read more

The team at Bohemian Candle are as kind and helpful in person as they are over the phone. I had purchased some items out there on a weekend with the family. Their incense are truly unique and I enjoyed them. Since about a month ago I've been out but haven't been able to get back out to the coast. So I give the store a call and ask if they can and she says yes, enthusiastically, and she even labeled them and sent me a bulk order. I love the staff and the presentation of the overall layout of the store. They cater to the weird and wonderful world of Oddities, Antiquities, Taxidermy, The Occult, and various Eastern Philosophies. The owner has a good eye for presentation, and a wonderfully morbid and light hearted humor as you can ascertain from some of the art / display pieces she has put together for us to enjoy. If you like the weird, oddities, taxidermy and occult based objects and wish was Halloween everyday... or you just want a good place to find candles, incense, hand crafted bath bombs and essential oils - stop in for a trick or treat. The smell when you walk in is everything I needed! Their candles all smell amazing I had a hard time picking which to buy. The story behind this shop is everything though. The owners have a story written when you walk in, it's on the wall and contains their story on how they were in Newport when they were stationed for the coast guard and dreamt of owning and operating a candle shop in Newport one day. It's a beautiful story and I always want to support locals when visiting these touristy cities. Thanks for having us! read more

I loved this delightful shop in lovely Newport. In addition to candles, they sell a selection of fragrance incenses that you can mix and match. A perfect stop for anyone interested in mysticism. I bought the Vanilla Moon large and the Patchouli small candle. The scent from the Vanilla Moon is euphoric! The candle burns for a long time too. So pleased. The Patchouli was just ok for me. The intensity of smell was just not there with the patchouli. I cant wait to go back! read more

This is a great little store to check out! The lady working there the day I went in was very friendly and knowledgeable of the products that are sold there. Of course there are lots of candles sold, which are made locally at their studio - lots of great smelling ones! I really liked the Papaya brand products they sold - bags, notebooks, artwork, etc - very pretty! I found some essential oil shower bombs which are made specifically for duh, using in the shower - which is a great idea for the soaking tub deprived 99%ers. There was a variety of scents to choose from - they're all packed up right now, but I know I got one that said it was for hangovers! read more

I could spend hours here looking at all of their beautiful handmade jewelry, paging through spell books, admiring the art and decorations, smelling the amazing candles they make, sifting through crystals, getting my tarot cards read and even getting a henna tattoo! Because I was on a schedule I was only able to stop in for a bit but after talking to the business owner I truly can't wait to come back. I am in love with their jewelry and wish they had an online store! They are very helpful with telling you the meaning and uses of the items they sell whether it's crystals or candles. The energy of the store is amazing. You walk in to find an array of homemade candles, inspirational cards and touching gifts. I am in love with the Mariner Teak fragrance of which I have bought several candles and a really lovely reed oil diffuser.I previously purchased an inspirational card that I framed and a magnet that lives on my fridge to this day. I stumbled across this candle and 'novelty' store a couple years ago during a trip to Newport and was thrilled to see it had been expanded this fall. My partner and I took the opportunity to talk with the owner and discovered that the store has a great meaning to her and she puts a great amount of energy into the items that she sells in her store. I love these type of stores... So when I saw this one I was extremely excited... I was going to replenish my candle supply and maybe try something new...saw a great bag that I thought I wanted.. BUT the energy of the lady sitting there was so foul we HAD to leave... The hubs asked if I'm getting the bag anyway... Why? She obviously didn't want my business... So I will take it where it would be appreciated.... I thought it was the classic ignorance of judging people by how they look... She didn't know that I was ready to spend $$$ because they have some sweet things...oh well someplace else with people who appreciate or don't mind people who look different will get our business... Seriously this lady looked up and continued about her business like no one was in that store... Good to know... We visited this sweet little shop a couple of years ago and found helpful and interesting staff/owners. I loved the Gardenia scent and braved the virus to purchase again. I went directly to the young lady behind the counter and told her what I was looking for. She waved her arm to her right and said "what we have is there". We searched the area, no Gardenia so settled for Vanilla. As I was paying, my husband spotted the Gardenia on the other side of the store. Kaydance was fine with me switching scents. Maybe it was her first day. These are the finest diffuser oils I have found. Too bad about the customer service. read more

This is a great store. Every time I go there, EVERY TIME, the person working there is cheerful, chatty or silent as my own manner suggests, capable of muti-tasking, and equipped with a good, solid sense of humor. I've lived on the coast for three years and would have to drive many, many hours to reach anything remotely like it. It's cheek by jowl with cheap, tawdry tourist traps and some places that aren't so bad, all heavy on starfish and mermaids, a handful of half-decent places to eat that are priced for the tourist trade, and the commercial fishing operations go on right on the other side of the street ... it's one of a kind. I love it. You want tarot cards, henna, incense, books, witchy things (candelabras, incense, mineral rocks), Day of the Dead figures, candles, sugar skull art, wall hangings, perfume, jewelry? This store smells so good! I have currently been living in their herem pants for the past 3 days. I loved all their candles, specifically urban gypsy and love gypsy...so MAGICAL. Their incense smells amazing and the after scent lasts. Most items were fairly priced like my awesome herem pants. I wish they had a website so I could order candles and incense etc (their dresses were super cute) to be shipped to Portland. Will be back to this store asap! read more

Cute spot - they have lots of different witchy things. It's not really a metaphysical store as much as a candle store with metaphysical stuff. A little light on the colored candles, but plenty of different scented candles to delight you instead. I went in looking for a yellow candle for a third chakra meditation, but that's not really where their magic is. They make scented candles right there in store and have a wide array. They also have crystals, leather bound notebooks, jewelry, incense, and lots more. Good vibes in this shop - obviously the good energy of the owner. read more

I love this store and I went to get henna because I found out that they had henna so I went and I got a sack of henna and it cost $12.95 which sounded like a reasonable price because it came with extra stuff, I went to pay for it after I left the store I went to open it and it had a zipper it was stuck so I tried and tried for 10 minutes, I got so tired I went to return it they said sorry and they will call the company who gave them the sacks and I said ok and they gave me another one but this one was way different because It was a super small sack and it only had a piece of paper but they had to give you the henna and it was they exact same price as the one that came with extra stuff. read more
