The purchase made sight unseen was stressful however when the sofa arrived it fit as though it were custom designed for the studio. Then I found Golden Rug's website. Their inventory is gigantic. Make sure you view them on the website first to get an idea of what you like because they have so much more in storage. I went in twice to look for a rug for my home. I am so glad I did. The pieces in this store are art. You will appreciate them over time and they will probably become heirlooms. The atmosphere is like walking into an Middle Eastern marketplace, but much more intimate because there are no crowds. I got the opportunity to talk to Laiq, a wonderful and kind gentleman. He brought out some rugs that I saw on the website the next day. Laiq educated me on rug types and materials. I really got to appreciate the amount of work that went into each rug. Each rug is made by hand and imported from various countries such as Iran, India and Afghanistan. You can really get some masterpieces here. A vegetable dyed and densely hand-knotted rug was way out of my league. What I ended up with was a beautiful 8x10ft Indian hand knotted and chrome dyed floral rug made from wool. A one of a kind piece. If you don't want to settle for the machine-made, mass-produced, glued down, fossil fuel fiber rugs sold at your mega chain stores, I highly suggest you take a journey here. Transition pieces were not properly glued down, baseboard nails were not set flush, and the caulking was poorly done--problems that are still visible today. I lived with these issues for years because fixing them once was not enough and I did not want to deal with the issue again. The manager at the time did offer me a partial refund so I didn't ask for a 2nd fix. In hindsight I should have. Recently, I re-engaged Jordans because I need to redo my flooring. Engaging with the current store manager I was told in person that we would be "taken care of" and "hooked up" because of the 2017 experience. What followed was a 10¢/sqft price reduction (about $55 total). When I raised this marginal discount, the alternative offered was removing recommended services of leveling and voiding warranty. This process wasted significant time and did not rebuild confidence with Jordan's. We chose another contractor.
