Music is spiritual and uplifting. Often goes along with the sermon. Sermons are always right on. Communion is offered every week for believers. It's between you and God no judgement nor anyone questioning you if you deserve it. It's a free gift. Jesus is in the house! Come and worship with us. Also retreats, classes, men's and women's bible studies, marriage conferences, Seasoned Sisters group, and a large Seniors group, Royal Rangers for the young men. It's a great place to come home to. They fixed the issue of a small sanctuary. This new sanctuary building solved a couple of issues…read morethe first is it can easily hold around 300 people for a service. Secondly, it opened up the old sanctuary to be converted into a multi-use building which makes it nice for the monthly senior luncheons. Lastly, it provided church teens with a dedicated space. The people are still friendly with the senior minister making a point of greeting people as they enter the building. They have also set up a FaceBook page that provides access to the weekly 10:45 service.

Pastor J is the lead pastor and usually brings the message. However, on occasion we'll have guest speakers that come in and do a great job bringing the message as well. Pastor J speaks in a way that everyone can understand and does a good job keeping everyone's attention throughout the service. Other churches I've been to in the past I found it difficult to follow the pastor and at times would get lost. With Pastor J I'm able to follow the message the entire service. Also the church is going through an exciting time right now. 7sd is in the process of finding a permanent home. We're currently at the lakeside community center but won't be able to stay there for too much longer with how quickly the church is growing. The complete re-doing of the sacristy area is only part of it, but all of the church now looks fresh, clean, modern and inviting. Thanks to the many parishioners who donated the funds to have this expensive overhaul done. As for the community there ... the members of this parish? They are the most welcoming and warm folks I have encountered here in San Diego's Catholic parishes. And the annual events, like the Fall carnival and many many others, are the best ! I don't live in the parish boundaries any longer but I drive the 25 miles to this wonderful parish every Sunday and other occasions.
