I just read the review from last year that Jamie G. wrote and I am astonished. My daughter has been dancing at Rise since the studio opened. She used to dance at Star Struck. The difference between the two is vast. At Rise, Miss Val and all the other teachers know my daughter's name and have taken the time to get to know her in depth. They all genuinely care about all of the kids no matter the age. I swear to you that no one knew my daughter's name at the other school and they were packed into that little classroom like sardines. My daughter started in regular classes and has now been in the competition classes for the past 5 years. She has a group of friends that I believe she will have in her life for many many years, they really are such great kids. Being a part of this school has been a life changing experience for my daughter. It has given her more self-confidence than any other activity in her life. She gets up on that stage at the recital and competition and she just glows. About 6 weeks ago we were in Hershey at the national competition and a storm blew through the area and the power went out for about 6 hours at the Hershey Lodge and most of the town. All the parents and students gathered in the main lobby and we just had a party. It's amazing that you can take away something so expected in life as electricity and it can bring dozens of people together to just enjoy each other's company. Since the trip, we have started to spend time with many of the families socially. We truly all meld together. There is rarely drama at all and everyone gets along. Hats off to Miss Val for assembling such a great place with incredible positive reinforcement on a day to day basis for all the kids. The last thing I will say which is directed towards Jamie G. is that my daughter who is very talented, doesn't always get the front and center spot. As a result, that has taught her to work harder and work smarter. Sometimes it pays off and she is front and center and other times she is not. She is totally cool with that because she knows that she is part of a team and when each piece of the team works together... that is what makes them a family. I can guarantee that my daughter will stay at Rise for as long as she will be of age to dance at Rise. Like Miss Val, I too am sorry you didn't share my experience. I just feel bad that you opted to post it in such a public forum where the damage can go much farther than you probably would have thought. read more

I have been going to Rise Dance Studios since I am 3 years old. Rise has become more than a dance school it has become my family I go there and everyone from the teachers to the students make me feel special. Everyone supports and encourages everyone. They help me to be the best dancer I can be. The teachers not only know how to teach us great technique they give us confidence to perform what we have learned and they are amazing. The whole studio has become a team we are all there for each other we are so excited to perform and to see everyone else perform. I think if you are looking for a great dance school Rise is it. I go to dance 5 days a week sometimes when I don't have class I just want to go and watch my friends dance and they do the same thing . I have been a student at Rise Dance Studios for 6 years now. It was one of the best decisions I have made. Not only have I learned so much about dance but I have made the most amazing friends who I consider my second family. When I came to Rise I had little knowledge of what I was capable of doing in dance, all of my amazing teachers helped show me that I can do anything if I put my mind to it. Every teacher is great at what they do and are always encouraging us to do our best and to have fun. Not only are they teachers to me but role models, and they are always giving us advice not just for dance but for life outside of it. I have been given so many opportunities at Rise and have made so many amazing memories with such great people. Rise has helped me grow over the past 6 years as a dancer and as a person. I have been a student at Rise since its opening. This place has become for me one of the most secure and influential places in my life. My passion for dance not only developed here but also grew into such a big part of my life. Every single staff member works very hard and is very dedicated to making this studio the best it can be. I have first hand experience here, being a teachers assistant myself, and I can assure everyone now that every child, younger or older, is given great acceptance and attention here. Every student loves to learn and grow in such an amazing teaching environment, and EVERY student is given praise for their accomplishments. My daughter has been dancing at Rise for 5 years and is in company. She loves it! It is a very friendly atmosphere and the teachers are amazing. They are strict but nice. The thing I love the most is how family oriented it is. The teachers are very caring and the children in each class become more like family. The studio has it all, including a musical theater group, So your child has a wide variety of dances to try. I guarantee if your child loves to dance, like mine, then they will definitely find something they will fall in love with here I myself go to the ballet barre and zumba classes. It is great! We have been with Rise for a little over 4 years. With out queestion it has been the most pleasurable dancing experience for my son and 2 daughters (9, 13, and 8). I was impressed how organized and fun the teachings have been, especially for my younger kids as they have all stuck with it since day one. I was a little concerned that it would be tough for my children 4 years ago to stick with it this long due to their youn ages. I have seen a tremendous leap of confidence and disciplin othher areas like school, sports, and socially with my kids as well. I highly recommend Rise Dance Studios to parents looking for a great studio for their children. Rise is a family-oriented studio. The teachers are excellent and genuinely care about the students. Rise is a great place for children to grow up. In each class, friendships feel like family. At any age, the children are encouraged to do their best, and have fun. There are numerous styles of dance for children to try, a competition team, and a musical theater program. Rise dance studios is a fantastic studio with a variety of classes. You can take a Dance class, Musical Theater class, Barretone, Zumba, and Acro. Every teacher has had years of training and they make you into a better person. Rise is a place where no matter what kind of day I am having I always leave happy and feeling good about myself. The teachers do not just teach you, they also care for you. I feel comfortable enough to talk to my teachers about anything. Each year I can see the huge progress in myself from the year before. My daughters currently attends Rise Dance Studios. Its definitely not easy being a dance dad for two little girls, but the staff makes me feel very welcomed and comfortable. Both my daughters love it at this school. They seem to love praise they get during class and they always seem to come out with big smiles on their faces to tell me what they have learned new in their class. I'll be honest, I don't know half of what they are telling me because I'm not familiar with dance lingo, but it truly makes me happy to see my children so happy. My daughter's experience at Rise has been amazing. She has been dancing there for 6 years and it became her 2nd home. Valerie and her staff are wonderful compassionate people. Valerie knows how to bring out the best in each child. It is because of Valerie and her staff that my daughter tried out and was one of only three freshman that made a University of dance team. You can't spell Elite without R I S E. I have 3 children at the studio (2 of which have been there from Day 1 in 2008), and it IS a second home for them. A great caring staff that has helped mold my babies into respectful and energetic young people. I'm not a big gambler, but if you play the numbers game, a 99% approval rating is as good as it gets. After a year, I thought it might be best to review this business again and see if the below bad reviews were true. I can truly say that the bad reviews are nothing but false. Between the teachers and the other staff that work for this studio, I can only say good things. The end of year recital was nothing short of a Broadway masterpiece. At first I felt all the students weren't used to their fullest potential. Then the studio had some teacher replacements. This studio is amazing. The dance studio offers recreational classes, company classes and singing lessons. The company has an annual recital for all the students. Tuition is reasonable and affordable. My sisters both send their kids to Rise and they love it. The teachers are friendly and my neices are comfortable there. I actually tried the Zumba class there with my sister and it was great. I did not think it was going to be such a great workout but it was! The instructor knew what she was doing and was well-trained. I would recommend this studio for adults AND children. read more

I began Rise about 9 months ago taking Zumba and barre tone classes. The instructors are absolutely amazing!! The classes are high energy, great music, different dance choreography with weights incorporated within routine. I'm completely addicted to Rise!! Ive lost 10lbs and have sculpted and toned by Body!!
