This law firm was extremely disappointing. My best friend went bankrupted because of her and got nowhere! She and her kids are now homeless because of the unethical billing practices. And terrified of this attorney believing she will try and bill her for more. She went through all of her savings and sold her home and after 125k in fees STILL owes she more. She is known to be finically abusive to her clients and the opposing parties. I felt that Mary Anne was not honest or transparent in her communication, and I was repeatedly billed for work that I believed resulted from errors or issues that should have been handled correctly the first time. When I raised concerns, I did not feel they were addressed with care or accountability. Most troubling, I did not feel that the well-being of the children involved received the attention and protection it deserved. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm. Awful. This office does not return client phone calls. When you're paying an attorney $350/hr to make sure your violent ex-husband with three restraining orders against him doesn't come home "to finish the job" you expect them to pick up the phone. Not their legal assistant (who changed 3 times in two months.) Not their paralegal, (who changed twice in two months). Not being able to handle an emergency phone call or follow through on protecting their clients says everything about this office: poorly staffed, focused on superficial appearance, and ineffective. I was in a desperate situation and this firm failed me. I should have known better when I was in the waiting room and could overhear Jamie talking to Maryanne about the pathetic losers that Tinder was trying to set her up with. Mocking men for being bald, being old, too fat, whatever. A huge red flag, but I ignored it. I guess she had man troubles of her own that were much more important than mine. 1 star is generous for this law group. I hired Ms. Pitcher to assist with a Divorce case. Her and her law group filed numerous needless documents which wasted thousands of dollars. Couple with outrageous administrative fees, the RISE Law Group spent $15,000 of the only money I had, and I'm worse off and not closer to being divorced than before I hired them. I've never even met Ms. Pitcher. Mrs. Hazlett actually represented me during a court hearing, but she was completely unprepared and looked like a high school student who went to take a final exam after only reading the cliff notes. Don't waste your time or money. If you've also been screwed by this law firm, you can submit an Ethics complaint via the Oregon State Bar. They messed up on a repossessed that I basically wrote out for them which then cost me more money to have them rewrite it ???
