During the summer camp they offer, if your child doesn't bring enough water, they either make you pay for it, refuse the child water, or make them drink from the bathroom sink. (The drinking fountain they have by the bathroom is actually broken, but they don't tell you that when you tour.) They also let employees work on site before they have gotten the fingerprint check back, which is just dangerous, and illegal. The might be skilled in martial arts, but they only thing on their mind now is the money you give them.

Their response to that charge back was a lame apology. Stating sorry for not following through. My bank accidently did two chargebacks. One for an item I actually did receive and Amy's was calling, leaving voice messages, texts and sending emails all within 5 minutes of each other because they were due money. Otherwise when asking them a simple question about a reimbursement to me they don't even bother to respond. Same situation as the shorts. Long story short as long as you are paying them money they communicate well but if you are no longer paying them money they don't care about you or your questions. Keep the money. The program has certainly gone down hill since then. -The coaches provided no guidance or instruction. - The coaches had no real training program for the kids, they would just cycle through a couple of strokes without any other practice. - Despite repeated email and in person requests our kid never got the swim cap nor t-shirt that was supposed to come with the program.

Today, me and my kids wanted to play basketball in the gym. Many of the hoops were much lower than 10 feet. Not a big deal. we went and talked to a couple of the girls behind the desk to ask them to raise the hoops so that we could play basketball at regulation height. One of the girls stood up to talk to me and said, "no, I think all of the hoops are at the right height. " I responded and said, "no, many of them are around seven or 8 feet. They should be at 10 feet. "She looked at me like I was speaking a different language and said no I believe we can't adjust the height of the hoops. I realize that maybe I was speaking to someone who had only worked there for a little while and maybe didn't know the rules or the procedures around raising and lowering the hoops. So I said, "I believe we can raise the hoops and you can use that tool (pointing at the tool by her) to raise them. If you get a chance, please help us raise one of these hoops to 10 feet. " I thought that I was really nice and respectful. What happened is nobody ever came out to help us raise the hoops to 10 feet they just sort of ignored our request. Not the end of the world, we still love this place. But I hope in the future, the staff is trained and able to assist in these types of things.

First timers over here! Took the family to do something fun and something new - and this place did…read morenot disappoint! The ambience was a bit crazy due to a rock climbing completion going on but we were still able to get our climb on without it being super duper crowded. The people here (climbers and their families) are super friendly and gave us tips on how to get started, even helped us do a climb! The kids were ecstatic and got their wiggles out, and got to be active for an afternoon...I'm afraid we might be converted!

Local gyms are my favorite. Less crowds and it's not as intimidating. They have an interesting…read morerating system, it's based on consensus, sometimes climbs are harder or easier than it should be. But the gym has good routes, bouldering, top-rope, and lead. The only problem I run into, are the Summer camps and classes, they're at least twice a day so you have to plan around it.

It was overall a very positive environment, even though my ability to learn coordinated movements isn't necessarily great. A lot of the people in the beginner classes I tried weren't exactly beginners, but everyone seemed super willing to try to explain the moves.
