This is a really great little community center. They hold all kinds of events here in the…read moregymnasium. It was built in 1912 which makes it rather unsuitable for kids any more, but it works just fine for random events. It also has a pretty nice basketball court that they will let you use for your intramural games, or whatnot. There is an outdoor court that is OK, but in need of a little love. Overall this is a pretty historic building for the area. 1912 isn't that old for our country, but for Oregon, it is certainly getting up there.

A few weeks ago, the trolley bus that is the public transit option in my community was driving in…read morefront of my down the Main Street, Adams Avenue. I nearly rear-ended them when they stopped, mid-block, without any signal such as hazard lights turning on and started unloading a passenger at a non-designated stop. I know that this happens, but they should have signaled the stop. Additionally, the entire block was empty, allowing a massive amount of room for curbside parking, rather than just stopping in the middle of the road like that. When I called to complain, the essential message I received was, "Maybe don't drive so close," followed by telling me not to be so angry about it? I followed that unhelpful call up with a review on Facebook, which has, as of this morning, resulted no less than 3 separate people (only one of whom actually works for public transit, and none of whom are the driver or were involved in any way with the incident in question) harassing me with comments on my review, and now I can't find the review on their Facebook page anymore.
