RISPA is so much more than a performing arts studio. It is a place your child will feel secure, confident and loved. There are hundreds of children in the program and it may feel overwhelming at first (to the parent) but you will be amazed at how quickly you become a part of this "family". I started my daughter at RISPA 14 years ago and what happened on day 1 exemplifies exactly the type of people the owners are. My 3 year old daughter had sever separation anxiety and it was beyond frustrating how she cried whenever I wasn't by her side. She began crying in the class and I was mortified. I went in to pull her out so she wouldn't disrupt the class. Ms. Georgina (instructor/owner) said "no", and told me to leave. She picked up my daughter and taught the rest of the class with my daughter on her hip. From that day on, I watched my little girl become a confident, leader in the making. I have so many other examples of how RISPA molded my daughter into who she is today. There are not enough words to describe what RISPA has done for her. It is an incredible dance studio, but more importantly to me is the confidence and sense of being loved this place instills in children. Georgina and Danny run a tight ship and are passionate about RISPA being recognized as the best school. This takes a big time commitment and through this my daughter learned dedication and commitment. My daughter no longer dances (after 10+ years of being there) but to date, this is still her happy place and she visits with Mr. Danny and Ms. Georgina frequently. My daughter has been at Rispa for 8 years and I can tell you it is where she is happiest. Like many of the reviewers have said , Danny and Georgina love her.. and have proven it time and time again. When she had some serious health issues a few years ago, they stood by us ,came to our home and encouraged her to fight back . They didn't have to do that. They did it because they loved her . But here's what parents need to understand before they send their kids. Over our 8 years ,my daughter has had to earn every solo, dance part etc. What you can't expect is for your child to get a part because they are "working hard". My daughter has earned solos, and lost them. Tried out for parts and plays and sometimes she gets them.. and sometimes she doesn't. She gets excited when she is in the front row in a dance but If she doesn't work hard enough , she gets put in the back and another child "earns " their way to the front. When she was younger, she would sometimes cry with disappointment. She doesn't do it anymore and I think she is a better person for having to learn navigating disappointment . We can't jump in every time things don't work out their way. Real work, real commitment,real life consequences and joyful moments . RISPA is preparing her for real life and that's what I want for my child. We love RISPA, my dance mom sisters and these crazy talented kids. read more

I'm not sure who Erin H is, but I am very disappointed in her post as it couldn't be further from the truth. My daughter has been at RISPA for the past 12 years and it has been the single most positive experience any parent could hope for. She developed confidence, self-esteem, life-long friends, and an appreciation for the value of hard work. My wife and I are grateful to Mr. Danny and Mrs. Georgina for their hard work, passion and the unconditional love they shared with our daughter and her peers for all these years. She is a senior this year and she will be very sad to say farewell to her RISPA family. But she knows she will never be forgotten and will always be welcome with open arms by Danny and Georgina. She has watched them travel to California, New York, Michigan and many other distant places to support their alumni students. Not because they have to, but because they truly love them like a child and are so excited to share in their success. We have been a part of the RISPA family since my oldest daughter found her love for dance at the age of 2 with Ms. Ellen! She is now in her 10th year at RISPA and her 4th year as a Company member. My youngest daughter also discovered her love for performing at RISPA when she was 3 and is now in her second year of Company. RISPA is truly our home away from home because it is a family! Mr. Danny and Ms. Georgina pour countless hours into creating an incredible place for our children to grow, learn, and develop, not only their art, but also confidence, self-esteem, a strong work ethic and wonderful friends. RISPA is a one of a kind performing arts studio that I would recommend to any parent that has a child that loves to perform. Not only are the owners extremely welcoming to everyone, but they are very family oriented. The studio offers dance, vocal, and acting classes for students ages 2-19! I was a student at RISPA for 10+ years and I can honestly say the owners, Danny and Georgina Louchiey, changed my life. The purpose of the studio is to help each individual student grow. With equal opportunities to get solos in group numbers, RISPA really allows each student to step out of their comfort zone and try out for parts they normally wouldn't try out for. Between the front desk staff, teaching staff, show lighting and sound technicians, and all the wonderful students RISPA is one big family! We have been a part of the RISPA family for over a decade. One of our daughters just celebrated her tenth year in Company. The other daughter has literally grown up spending her whole life involved at RISPA and is also a proud company member. Both girls have had success in professional theatre and film/TV outside of RISPA. Guess who has always been there to watch and support them?--Danny and Georgina--because they truly care for the kids they teach!! I have 2 children who are at RISPA and have been very pleased with our experience there. It is an absolute labor of love for the owners and it can be a thankless job. They make a point to speak to the parents, ask about our personal lives, and make everyone feel very welcome. There are hundreds of children and they know everyone by name. We have had a very positive experience and I would highly recommend it! A good way to see the level of talent and hard work is to come watch one of the performances in the theater, located at the studio. Until leaving for college, our daughter was a student at RISPA for 11 years. After reading an earlier review I found it necessary to share our experience as recent Rispa grads. To say that children are "Left in the shadows and that "They are not about the kids" couldn't be further from the truth. Our child is in NYC now and not pursuing fine arts. She misses RISPA terribly! I can honestly say that Danny and Georgina have seen her more in NYC than we have. They go out of their way to make time for her, to check up on her and to remind her of how special she is to them. RISPA is an absolute gem of a performing arts school. I am a professional musician and mother of two. Our entire family LOVES Rispa! My 3 yro daughter's Ballet class is the highlight of her week (Ms Ellen is AH- mazing). The caliber of their productions is remarkable. The kids here are talented and flourish because they are clearly valued, encouraged, and trained by wonderful instructors. When budding artists are creatively and emotionally fed, they grow. We love Rispa. My daughter started as a 7 year old, is 11 now. Very loving enviroment, from huggs to the owner personally making sure, kids dont leave the studio after classes without parents being present or having a coat on if cold etc. My daughter grew as an artist, she loves acting and musical theatre the most along with dancing and singing. Children really learn to do all three here. Great place for talented children, who love the stage and want to grow in all aspects of performing. read more

RISPA is a wonderful place with very caring owners and teachers. We have been a part of their Company for the past 7 years and it is truly like a family. If my kids get sick or hurt, Danny and Georgina are the first people calling to check on them. If they have a success, Danny and Georgina are the first ones to cheer them on.
