The restaurant is located at a winery in a more remote area, and in the dark, we couldn't see any signs actually said 21.9, but luckily, google maps took us to the right place. Note: it otherwise says Ristorante Albergo di Charme.
The dining room isn't big. There were two tables there when we arrived at 8pm, but it filled in almost completely by 9pm on a Friday night.
There were 3 tasting options available: traditional, seafood, and truffle. They had two versions of the menu - one with prices, and one without. I like the old school way of giving the man the menu with the prices :).
One of the first things I noticed was that the server wore gloves to hand me my water glass in order to avoid getting his finger prints on it, which I thought was a nice touch.
The wine list was super extensive and a little intimidating to navigate, but the sommelier was super approachable and helpful. We started with a bottle of 2007 Tosti Brut Giulio from Alta Langhe for €36, which I thought was a great deal. We then proceeded with a Riserva from the winery, which ended up being only €38 for the bottle. I thought the bottle prices were incredibly reasonable for locally sourced quality wines.
Breads to start:

1. The chef's signature dish: cougette cream with squid ink and candies lemon, warming and a nice way to start the dish
2. Scampi: with hummus, black chickpeas, tomato confit, and shiso
3. Salted cod: salted in house, served with cod skin chips, salsify, and a wonderful parmigiano broth
4. Seared tuna: with matcha "sponges" and zucchini
5. Turbot tortellini: with spicy radish greens
6. Sea bass: with artichokes and a butter and caviar sauce
Truffle menu:
1. Sausages with puréed cream of potato and black truffle
2. Fried egg: with sweet leeks, chard, and white truffles
3. Tajerin: with a wine and butter sauce, topped with white truffles truffle
4. Ravioli: with sweet breads, a white truffle butter sauce, and hazelnut
5. Beef: with a Nebbiolo reduction and seasonal vegetables
6. Poached pear
The first thing we noticed when we walked in was this amazing cheese cart. Instead of a sweet dessert, I finished with a custom created local cheese plate with brioche and house made marmalade. I'm not a huge sweets person, so this was perfect. They did finish us up with a plate of truffles, small cookies, etc
Overall, it was a solid meal. However, the truffles weren't as amazing as the ones we had the night before at Piazza Duomo. The wines were probably the highlight for me, and the sommelier was great. It's worth going out of your way for a visit. read more
