I'm fairly certain it was tap water in a reused bottle yet they charged 4 Euro as if it was not. I have no idea how this restaurant has such a great rating. It is definitely not deserved, based on our experience.

I got the Calabrian bouillabase and my partner got the seafood tagliatelle, and both were amazing! The bouillabase was just the right amount of spicy with the Calabrian chiles, and it had huge pieces of 2 types of fish, giant prawns, oysters, clams, and shrimp. My partner liked the salmon and prawns in his pasta. Service was excellent, and the owners spoke German, Italian, English (and probably more languages given the region's proximity to multiple countries). We didn't have a dinner reservation so were seated outside on the charming patio (2 sections, one with heaters close to the restaurant, and the other further away with blankets).

Our appetisers took 70 minutes and our entrees took about 85 minutes to arrive. We asked about the food about an hour in and were told "it's very busy, you need to be patient". Only when we pointed out about the other two tables having eaten did our food arrive. BEWARE; they charge €6.50 for tap water! We questioned it and the woman said "it's not like America, it's normal here". Firstly, we are English and French, not American. Secondly it was our third night in Germany and our seventh time dining out and this was the ONLY place that charged for tap water! The food is also more expensive than anywhere else we ate at in Fussën. Good food but poor service from some of the staff. We went for dessert elsewhere.

The main restaurant was already packed and they seated us at their annex in the same courtyard which was cute and warm, ordered some garlic bread, margarita pizza and spaghetti aglio olio. The food came out quick along with our drinks. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The reason for taking a star off is the long wait after our dinner. It seemed like our server forgot us. We waited for almost 25 mins till my husband walked to the main restaurant to order some espresso for us. And then her forgot us again when we asked for the check. Maybe it was a one time but definitely would visit again for the food!
