Lugano can drive you nuts with the lack of dietary variety, especially if you're vegetarian. In another city Etnic would be no big deal, but in this town it's a huge find. Three of us could eat vegetarian--vegan, even, if we wanted--with some actual vegetables, and with flavor and variety that wasn't Italian. The prices were typical of Switzerland, and service was friendly. In a city with this much great outdoor seating something was lost sitting inside, but not too much.
Note that the restaurant runs a little take-away place just outside the Quartiere Maghetti, but the main restaurant is inside the Quartiere. So if you find a tiny little store, ask them for directions to the restaurant proper. read more
