New restaurant that has opened recently…read more Portions are small even for Europe, but food is high quality and wait staff is very knowledgeable. Meal comes with bread made in house and served with a quenelle butter, and some small slices of cured meat. We also got an amuse bouche of cuttlefish on a small salad. This may be seasonal. We ordered the raclette as an appetizer. Traditionally it's a very heavy and dense melted cheese, but in this version "a nostra interpetazione", the cheese is a light cream, served from a whipped cream canister. It is served over the typical mashed potato with thin crispy pancetta and a small dice of gherkin. I also got the wild boar ravioli. It was served with an apple foam, and was a lovely mix of sweet and savory. For dessert you must get the egg (l'uovo della fattoria) which has a coconut cream, Malibu and pineapple. These whole thing is served just like an egg, with a white chocolate shell, coconut for the egg white, and pineapple as the yolk. I got the sphere (la sfera) which was a semifreddo with hazelnut, a fig filling, and star anise meringue. I didn't enjoy it that much but as I don't like jelly based desserts but the presentation was great. They do have English menus despite none on the website.

But overall my wife and I had a great time, recommend it and would go back this summer to enjoy a meal on their terrasse. We started with the capacolla dried tomato starter, essentially dried ham on tomato and basil bruchetta. We then got the argentinean beef filet complemented with spicy potatoes and the corn sealed tuna served with potatoes and spinach. Both impeccable, good quality beef, tuna slightly grilled on both side while preserving the flavors. The staff recommended the Malbec barricas del plata, which is apparently a wine produced by the in-laws of a staff member. As you can expect from Malbec, impressions of dark fruits on the nose - light tannins..not bad at all - for the anecdote i was going to take a bottle home (you can buy it to go for 35chf).We finished with a scoop each of their home made gelato.. honestly we were not hungry anymore - this was purely out of self indulgence - and to wrap up a great meal the right way. Dont hesitate - try it!
