We decided to try the 6 course vegetarian tasting menu and to our surprise the food was delicious!! We did not expect to have such delicious, flavourful food in Lugano. We started with samosa which had a very unique flavour, that set the course for what to expect from the experience. Our favourite was their version of Dosa and the vegan rose kulfi. Least favourite was dahi puri. Everything else tasted... (is sophisticated a word that can be used to describe flavour? Then that would be it) Overall we loved it! Gagan was kind to come and introduce himself and make sure everything went well. If you visit Lugano, definitely give this place a try!

We did not get offered a menu nor a wine list despite this being a wine bar. My friend ordered a glass of Champagne and I a glass of red wine. I was not asked what varietal. The waiter announced a Merlot and went on his way. There was a food menu on the wall. A pasta with a tomato sauce and meat balls was listed but the waiter said they could also do an Arrabbiata. I ordered the latter, I got the former. It was still good but not what I ordered. My friend's bruschetta was good. We were worried about a glass of champagne, but the price ended up very reasonable.

Then we discovered that it was a favorite of a friend who is a Lugano resident, and she joined us for dinner. The food was wonderful and the views were spectacular. We ended up eating here two of the three nights we were in Lugano. As others observed, the menu isn't extensive, but that is often a good sign that what is served is fresh and well prepared. A pea soup was spectacular, and the seafood was wonderful. Service was very attentive and professional. Our friend rates this one of the best restaurants in Lugano.

My family came to Layaly Beirut for lunch after driving to Interlaken from Zurich to see the nearby…read morelakes. It was snowing outside and we were hungry after our drive, and we found that the food here was just what we needed to continue our trip. For a family of five we ordered three skewer platters (two chicken and one beef kebabs). Since we were particularly hungry, I think that we would have benefitted from ordering another plate or two (each plate came with two kebabs), but it was all delicious! We especially liked the bread that they provided, and I enjoyed the hummus and baba ghanoush as well. The meat was very tender and soft, and the wait staff was also very courteous. After a few days of eating European food, it was nice to just eat some chicken and rice. I won't be returning to Switzerland for a while, so I unfortunately won't be able to come back to Layaly Beirut, but I leave this review here so that others may try the tasty Lebanese cuisine served at this establishment.
