Highly recommended - Service was excellent- waiters were very attentive and unobtrusive. Very much what to expect for what I can only describe as old fashioned. It's the kind of place with a head waiter dressed in a tuxedo suit. Very well organized - each course served by several waiters so no one was waiting. It was timed it so that you could eat leisurely and have time to breathe between courses. Food was very well prepared. hors d'oeuvres for reception on the grassy and tree lined terrace included multiple delicious classic pairings : cream with dollop of caviar or smoked salmon bites on toast, assorted battered seafood and cheesy bites, baked tiny pizzas and bruschetta ( no pictures - busy with photos of family and bride and groom.) Venue for actual dinner was so beautifully setup and decorated . We were outdoors and they had it prepared for rainy weather and boy, that thunderstorm sounded like a fireworks show to cap the night. Live music and soloist during dinner was great and so was the DJ for dancing after ( not part of venue). There is a second floor for guests to go to to rest and it was quiet enough for the 2 babies to fall asleep. Here's a reminder- the towns along the Amalfi coast are all really on a mountain - a lot of winding roads to get to places . Keep your legs and knees in shape- expect a lot of stair climbing and walking from main roads. And it's a pasta lovers' dream - you can't really low carb here. The stair climbing and walking is great to work off some of the Carbs. Weather changes often- for this day we started with overcast skies that gave way to sunshine during the ceremony then a real rainy and loud thunderstorm which cleared as we ended. So do come prepared. Bonus: there was a church along the way that you can visit if you have time.

I was so looking forward to a leisurely afternoon at this Capri Beach Club after my good friend…read morecame for several days and told me all about it. It was one of the highlights of our 2-week trip to Europe. It is definitely a splurge, but knowing that going in, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We took the little boat on a scenic ride over from Marina Piccolo, picked out a great location for our beach chairs and umbrella, then had a lovely lunch at the restaurant at the top, overlooking the ocean. Service was quick and attentive. We had the fried zucchini flowers stuffed w/ goat cheese - pretty good, but honestly, pricey ($25) and not as good as the ones we get back in San Diego at Cucina Urbana. We then shared a fried assortment of shrimp and calamari, which was tasty (although not quite as good as the ones we had at Da Fernando beach club in Positano). My daughter enjoyed her fresh catch of the day - sea bream (sold by weight, $45). And we had a bottle of white local Amalfi wine that we really enjoy and is only $32/bottle, Falaghina. All in all, it was about $450 for the 3 of us for lunch, drinks, beach chairs, umbrella and boat transport ($10/person each way). But best of all was lounging on the rocks in the little cove, overlooking the beautiful towering Faraglioni rock formations, and swimming in the crystal blue waters. It's super salty, so it was effortless to just float and relax. There were about a dozen well-dressed Italian guys celebrating a bachelor party, singing and dancing, and doing shots, which added to the fun, Italian ambiance. A really memorable, beautiful, relaxing day.

Unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing beach club experience we have ever had…read more We have visited many beach clubs around the world, so we are used to premium prices when the overall experience, atmosphere, quality, and service justify them. At Da Luigi, however, the prices felt completely out of proportion to what was offered. The sunbeds were basic, clunky metal beds and looked anything but luxurious. Normally, a beautiful beach club is a place where you enjoy taking photos and capturing the atmosphere -- here, we honestly felt almost embarrassed to take pictures because the setting simply did not match the image or price level you would expect from a premium beach club in Capri. The staff were friendly, which we appreciated, but unfortunately that was not enough to make up for the overall experience. The food was average at best, while the prices were extremely high and, in our opinion, unjustified. Paying €20 for an avocado is just one example. We don't mind spending money on a great beach club experience, but there has to be value behind the price. Here, there simply wasn't. Considering the location and the prices charged, we expected something special. Instead, it was one of the biggest disappointments we have experienced at a beach club anywhere in the world. Definitely not worth the price.

What started as "let's try this place tonight" quickly turned into, "So, same time tomorrow?" By the second evening, it wasn't just dinner, it was our official romantic Sorrento ritual. Candlelit tables, that charming Italian ambiance, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you slow down and actually enjoy every bite (and each other). The food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish tasted fresh, authentic, and made with care. You know it's good when you start planning tomorrow's order before you've even finished tonight's meal. We kept telling ourselves we'd try somewhere new and then somehow found ourselves back at La Laterna. No regrets. And the service? Truly top notch. Christian, our gracious host, welcomed us like old friends from night one. Tony, Angelo, and Roberto took such great care of us! attentive, warm, and always ready with a smile (and probably amused that we kept coming back). By the end of our trip, it felt less like we were dining out and more like we were being looked after by family. Now, let's talk about the real reason we may or may not have returned nightly: the tiramisu. Listen! I don't throw this around lightly. It was the best part of every dinner. Every. Single. Night. Light, creamy, perfectly balanced, it basically became our grand finale. We'd say we were too full and then somehow a tiramisu would appear and disappear just as quickly. La Laterna didn't just serve us dinner, it gave us a simple, romantic, joy filled routine during our stay in Sorrento. Great food, wonderful people, and desserts that will forever live in our memories (and possibly on my waistline). If you're in Sorrento, do yourself a favor and go. And if you end up going back the next night, we completely understand.

I don't have the words, CA is an absolute paradise. I have been describing it as "heaven on earth"…read more We just came back from our honeymoon in Capri. We stayed a little over a week in Capri Town and about a week at the CA in AnnaCapri. I didn't want to leave. We booked the Chef's table at Terrazza di Lucullo, woke up to breakfast's on our private terrace, enjoyed our days in the stunning swimming pool sipping cocktails and eating oysters. We walked their gardens and snuck a few of their cherry tomatoes. We cancelled a few of our dinner reservations because we did not want to leave the property. To top it off, CA is located in AnnaCapri and fully accessible by taxi. So you don't need to walk much while here. You can also take a boat to Fontelina from here, taxi to Paolino or Il Riccio and enjoy a very easy stroll to Zuma. This is it for Capri. I can see the equivalent notoriety of Punta Tragara because of the Faraglioni view, but it loses to CA in all remaining categories. You don't have to take my word for it, you will regret it yourself on your first sweaty hike to your PT hotel lobby.
