I was so looking forward to a leisurely afternoon at this Capri Beach Club after my good friend came for several days and told me all about it. It was one of the highlights of our 2-week trip to Europe. It is definitely a splurge, but knowing that going in, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We took the little boat on a scenic ride over from Marina Piccolo, picked out a great location for our beach chairs and umbrella, then had a lovely lunch at the restaurant at the top, overlooking the ocean. Service was quick and attentive. We had the fried zucchini flowers stuffed w/ goat cheese - pretty good, but honestly, pricey ($25) and not as good as the ones we get back in San Diego at Cucina Urbana. We then shared a fried assortment of shrimp and calamari, which was tasty (although not quite as good as the ones we had at Da Fernando beach club in Positano). My daughter enjoyed her fresh catch of the day - sea bream (sold by weight, $45). And we had a bottle of white local Amalfi wine that we really enjoy and is only $32/bottle, Falaghina. All in all, it was about $450 for the 3 of us for lunch, drinks, beach chairs, umbrella and boat transport ($10/person each way). But best of all was lounging on the rocks in the little cove, overlooking the beautiful towering Faraglioni rock formations, and swimming in the crystal blue waters. It's super salty, so it was effortless to just float and relax. There were about a dozen well-dressed Italian guys celebrating a bachelor party, singing and dancing, and doing shots, which added to the fun, Italian ambiance. Let's just start by saying it's a beautiful beach club, but the worst meal we've had in all of Italy! The Caprese salad was rubbery with awful tomatoes on a bed of wilted, lettuce, and dried oregano. Nothing fresh about it. Our linguine with tomato olives and capers had zero flavor. The bread basket left a lot to be desired, I'm not even sure the seagulls would've eaten it. Word to the wise, when you come for the beach club use your €60 credit per person on booze! The service was not attentive. Just an overall bad experience. Do not come for the food! read more

Lunch at Da Luigi was unforgettable! Check out the views in the picture! It is absolutely breath taking! It was as if I was dreaming when I was there! It was amazing views of the Italian Amalfi Coast! Being in Capri island was unbelievable! I really enjoyed this less than populated spot. You really have to trek over to Da Luigi's as it's in the far end side of the island. If you have problems with walking or climbing, then you might want to take a boat there instead! The food was good! I had a spaghetti dish and it was very tasty but it was so windy that it got cold fast! LOL! I didn't mind, I was mesmerized by the view! You can pay to bathe there and I would've except the water was super cold! Even in late July when I visited. So I just enjoyed the view of the Italian men sunbathing in Speedos! ; ) read more

This beach club is over-rated. Service is slow and they aren't very accommodating. The beach club restaurant was average at best. The beef steak was terrible, poor quality meat and extremely tough and chewy. The linguini with capers and olives was very flavorful. Service was incredibly slow. We asked for our check about three times before actually receiving it. read more

Amazing location! Great value! Awesome view! You have to come here. The bad reviews are old news. We took a shot and came and it was the best decision we made. 5 star experience. We love it here!!!! Transparency: it costs 115 per person for a chair, a charge for the umbrella (small charge), 12 euro for a towel (but if you can come here you can afford that). You get $60 euro credit to eat. It's a great value! Even the VIP is a great value- because it's per couple and the spots they choose for VIP are nice (same chair- but better view). Yes it's expensive but you're in Italy, enjoy life! The food was SO good. We had a good time and would come back. read more

Very cool place. I didn't eat but used the beach lido and lounge chairs. Entry fee (book in advance online) 25€ and additional 10€ for a sunbed (AKA- lounge chair) It's worth it as there are no public beaches on Capri and if you spend the day it's a beautiful location. Crystal clear water, full sun, and fun people-watching. It is packed (think sardines) but that's Capri in the summer. Tired to reserve La Fontelina but couldn't get in (another amazing beach club & restaurant) I'd definitely go back! read more

I wish I could give it a 0. Worst service we have had since being in Capri. Our waitress snapped at us for asking a question over the bill which was incorrect then we paid the bill and they chased us down telling us we didn't pay after we fully did. Service is SO slow. They checked on us twice on the day beds and took 30 min to come back after forgetting one of our drinks. Zero music. Cool view but that's about the only good part about this place. Food was fine but nothing I would go back for. Don't waste your money or time here. Every server besides the host was beyond rude. I have never written a review but they asked us to write a review and give them a 5 star so I'll give 1 because I have to in order to give any review at all. read more

Absolutely LOVE this spot. Such a wonderful day. Make sure to make a reservation way in advance. We had a reservation for around 11pm for lunch so we went a few hours early to lay out at their beautiful beach club. A reservation gets you a boat ride there and back and the boat ride is wonderful. You go under the big rock with the hole on it and have a good amount of time at it before you get to the restaurant. Once you get there, you have incredible views from all areas as it's tucked in behind some of the rocks. With a lunch reservation you can lay out as much as you want and enjoy the water. The food was delicious. We had the grilled octopus which was delicious and pasta, although this was a while ago so I don't totally remember. Regardless, the food isn't the biggest reason you come here, the overall experience and ambiance here is. I highly recommend!!! read more

First off, the view is beautiful. There's an area to swim which was not clear water but still nice. This place has a ton of potential but the service is an absolute nightmare. Upon entering you pay your 110/ chair and receive a 60 food and drink credit per chair. After we were escorted to our chair we were told the server needed a tip in order for us to be seated front row. (The place was almost empty). After 40 minutes of zero service my husband got up to ask for a waiter. We ordered an aperol spritz, a lemoncello spritz, and 2 sprites, it was 58 euro. We stayed another 1.5 hours and never received service. We asked for a refund but they refused. So disappointed in our experience at Da Luigi. Hoping they can make some much needed changes and offer better service. For the price, it's definitely not worth it, I would not recommend and won't be back. It's a tourist trap. read more

What a hidden gem in Capri! We heard about this spot from a friend who was there recently. We made a reservation and had 2 chairs to lay out as well as lunch reservations. The food was soo good, fresh from the sea! The views were breathtaking and It was something out of a dream! There is not a beach so you have to lay out on the rocks. That was fine with us, we were still very comfortable and had an umbrella. In order to go in the water you just have to jump in or use the ladder they had. This private beach made our day in Capri complete. It was a trek to get there from the boat marina but it was well worth it. We took a cab to the center of town and then hiked down. Once we arrived it felt like we were in heaven. :) A must see in CAPRI! read more

Having been to Capri many times, I assure you this place is mediocre. The beachfront has some chairs and umbrellas you can rent for the day but other than that, there isn't much to do here. It's a long walk downhill with nothing else around. The drinks are completely overpriced. Our lunch was just okay and we watched them serve one of our dishes to another table before they took it away and tried to to give it to us but we refused it. The bathrooms are also gross with wet toilet paper all over the floor. The view is great however. read more

Food was average at best. You come to this place to enjoy the scenery and not the food. Be prepared to wait a little while to be seated even if you have a reservation. I saw a few altercations between frustrated guests and hostess looking to be seated. The view is pretty cool but everything else about this place is terrible. I've never ever been anywhere with worse service. They treat the guests like garbage and try to squeeze every penny out of you. Pricing isn't straight forward when making reservations & the place isn't well kept. No napkins or paper towels in the bathroom. The restaurant not only had terrible service but the food was disgusting. To reserve beach chairs you have to spend several hundred dollars that you receive in vouchers to spend on lunch but when dining at the restaurant they automatically serve you a basket of stale bread for 26 euros. Not only was the dining experience atrocious but the staff even had the nerve to charge us for items we never even ate. Also, there's no service or wifi here. If I knew the experience would be like this, I would have reserved another beach club. There are so many places with beautiful views and better service in Capri that I would never recommend going to Da Luigi beach club. read more

One of the two private beaches in Faraglioni region. We chose Luigi over the other because it was situated on the East and hoped the sun would be less impactful in the afternoon. The direction was right but the impact of the sun subsided pretty late. Anyhow, Luigi is a restaurant and beach concept. It has its own private bay and the view is just fantastic. You can reach Luigi back & forth in two ways: You either come down from Capri center by walk toward Faraglioni vista point and walk down (In total probably 20 minutes to go to Luigi) or you can come by boat from Marina Piccolo. Luigi has its own boat and they charge 5 Euro per person for the boat. On the way back it is a good idea. The food and its price was comparable to most other places in Capri: Good but expensive. Still the ambiance etc. makes it ok. The beach was a bit expensive. They charge 19-25 Euro per person for a various sitting/sleeping options. i.e. for a chair you'd be charged 19, for a sunbed you'd be charged 25 Euro. If you go with kids prices are the same. I think it was expensive... WOuld I suggest Luigi. Yes! Knowing it's expensive, I'd still recommend it. We had a great day... read more

We stopped here after asking our Boat driver for a recommendation on where to grab lunch. We were about an hour, hour and a half into our private boat tour of the island which meant we were pretty hungry. We boarded the boat only armed with a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. After sharing that, we were basically out on all that water with no food...so the place that we pulled up too definitely had to be a HIT! It sure was, from the secluded private beach atmosphere to the restaurant perching so sexy amongst the rocky background. It was a very high class experience as I tried about 5 different type of fish including swordfish, accompanied with shrimp over lemon buttered mashed potatoes. I can't remember what my wife had, but after I post the pictures, I will describe it in the caption! It was a great way to have a date in the middle of our boat tour and we will most likely go that way again...we loved it! read more

This is the place to swim and have food I mean yum. I recommend this place for casual lunches and nice calm sunbathing in the sun on the amazing patio. But it does burn the wallet on the beach to reserve a beach chair or two. Also bring a book for the I want to say beach but it's more like a big rock with water around but it is close to a beach. Make sure to hold in your pee! You'll have to pee on your family in order to soothe their jelly fish stings! I walked the trek down the island here with my family, and payed 88€ for the 4 of us to have chairs. My kids only wanted to swim, and yet we had to buy them 22€ lawn chairs. My son jumped in, and within 25 seconds he was screaming in pain. Apparently this place is known for having jelly fish infested waters. Other guests helped my son and said things like "oh yeah everyone is getting stung" and "this happened to another guy an hour ago". All the guests were dying to get in the water but all had to sit on the rocks. It was apparent the workers were used to this situation. Very unprofessional to sell a family who explicitly told you they were here to swim an 88€ set of lawn chairs just to immediately be stung. The views were pretty I guess, save your money and go to the marina Piccola or make a reservation at the Fontelina down the trail. read more
