Billed as a contemporary Sardinian restaurant, we decided to try it. Meager pours of wine by the glass a 4E a pop and white and red poured into the wrong glasses. Owners\employees\relatives sitting and socializing with their friends who happened to be the only other patrons eating there. Menu is over priced - 3E per person coperto charge?! I ordered the 25E Sardinian lamb ribs with contorno and a green salad senza pomodori as a second contorno. I asked what the contorno was that came with the meal (not wanting a double of the same thing) and was told it was the chef's choice - could be roasted potatoes or grilled vegetables. Fair enough. My salad came first as my dining companion ordered an antipasto of octopus salad followed by a seafood pasta. Salad had tomatoes along with a bunch of ribbon sliced lettuces, carrots, and celery. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar provided, but no pepper or salt. My friend's octopus salad was a small portion buried under diced potatoes, garnished with mango (?!) strawberry, and dill with chopped red pepper along the rim of the plate. My lamb ribs turned out to be sliced steak of some sort sitting on top of a little mound of the same salad and covered by slices of cheese. Three slices of crispy french bread had some sort of cheesy sauce poured over them to the right and to the left were sliced roasted potato wedges that were too salty to taste of anything else. Too bad the spring of rosemary and peppercorns decorating my plate had not be used to flavor the potatoes! My friend's pasta dish was OK. Total bill of 78E for a meal of this caliper was a bit too much. Adding insult to injury, a plethora of bugs yet no way to escape them as the entire restaurant was open to outdoors without screens. read more
