While in Volterra we decided to try this place on the Main drag and with prices that were reasonable (many places on Volterra are more expensive than say Montepulciano or Siena). It was listed on the rick Steve's so it had a stamp of approval.
I'm very glad we came here. Nice ambiance inside with exposed beams and wine bottles. A candle burning on your table for a nice romantic feel. The service was crisp and the menus in English both for daily specials and day to day. We had eaten some very nice sausage in the hotel so did not feel like appetizers.
So we had an increíble tagliatelle with fungi and a grilled steak along with some potatoes. They were all amazing especially the pasta which can out piping hot. My wife is right in the us they have no idea how to serve potatoes, these were obviously bol ed or baked and then fried. Out of this world. We had and excellent tiramisu for desert. I highly recomended this place read more
