Every week I get an advertisement in the mail from Rite Aid with what I think could be some really good deals. I drink bourbon and when you find a good deal on a bourbon you should get it...like I said = weekly ad + deals on bourbon = Mike is happy. But the problem is that I don't have a Rite Aid that is generally convenient for me, but we were out getting a late night ice cream to help with the recent heat and most places around here roll up their sidewalks close to 10 PM. Rite Aid does too, but we got there right before closing and my wife got the double scoop she craved and cured the heat. While we were there I picked up something else I needed, but ventured over to the alcohol section with a LOT of choices on bourbon...yeah...! I saw one that was a peanut butter whiskey (this is not bourbon folks) but I thought it was interesting and might pick some up for my wife. We'll see, but in either case the staff was nice. I got my Rite Aid "card" by just registering my phone number with them and can use it in the future. The ice cream was a fond memory for my wife from her childhood so that along with finding a future location for a deal plus friendly staff was a good find. I saw the other reviews, discarded the Yelpers with the one or two only negative reviews as per usual. Not a bad place, but took it to the fourth star for my experience last night. read more

This location has gone downhill dramatically over the last year or so. Very poor customer service and care. Takes hours or even days to fill prescriptions and the wait in line has been getting worse every time I go there. Pharmacy staff = FANTASTIC and the lines are short for pharmacy. A refreshing change from CVS. I only wish Rite Aid has a drive-thru and is open 24/7. The front store line for Rite Aid retail seems to go as fast CVS; however, a secondary cashier is more likely to be available at CVS. This place has horrible service the cashier in the front kept following me make it seem like I'm going to rob them or something make me feel very uncomfortable as I grab a water and go pay for it i then ask the cashier if I can get a scoop of ice cream . He then tells me yeah you could get a scoop. And he said I'll pick the flavor tho . I laugh thinking he wasn't serious about it When I went to go ask for the flavor I say can I get vanilla he said no you can just have chocolate I said what do you mean no I payed for this he said with an attitude uhhh fine gave me it and told me to not eat it until I left the store. the amount of decency and disrespect this man had I will never be returning to this rite aid ever read more

The 2 stars I isn't for the ice cream right Rite Aid still has the great Thrifts Ice Cream. The 2 stars are because they are never open. They never have the flavors you want when they are open. I paid for a prescription and called to confirm they would hold it until 5/27 and it was put back on the shelf 5/24. This is the last straw for me. This pharmacy is trash. I really like this RiteAid... they have a pretty decent selection of Fine Wines and a helpful staff. I've got to know Kenny over the last couple years living in the area and he's a stand-up guy and usually has a funny joke. I've also had good experiences with the pharmacy in the back with both the pharmacist in charge and the pharmacy techs. Had a couple of vaccinations done and issue with my insurance, which they got corrected by going the extra mile. It feels good to be able to get to know people locally in your community and have them care about you as a patient/customer and look out for you and your family's best interests... read more

I've been coming to this pharmacy for years! Just tonight I had an awful experience with a so called VIVIAN who states she is assistant manager. She was very unpleasant with her customer service! I purchased two items as I picked up some prescriptions with a nice lady Flor. Unfortunately when I got home I realized one of my items I had purchased was not in the bag, mind you when Flor was scanning items she dropped one and I was speaking to the pharmacist so I didn't even see what she dropped or if she picked it up. I am pregnant with two little ones so all mommies know how it is going to places with kids, we just want to leave quickly. As I left the store I made sure to put all my items in my passenger seat and then I got home only to realize I'm missing one item so I called the store and asked Flor if maybe the item she dropped was my item I was missing and she stated it was medication she dropped and not one of the purchased items and that she put it in the bag. She then said they would have to check the camera and placed me on hold. When returning to the phone she stated her assistant manager Vivian said it was okay for me to go tonight or tomorrow to get my item since it wasn't a big purchase. I then asked for her name and assistant managers name again and we hung up. As a customer I thought that was great customer service. Until then UNPLEASANT VIVIAN called back to tell me they had looked for the item and it wasn't there and unfortunately there's nothing they can do. I was very upset because why tell me you will go ahead and give me the item and then call me back and take it back? I've worked in many different places to know you don't EVER do this to a customer. It's very unprofessional to say you will make customer happy and then take it back! I'm very upset because she did this. It just doesn't sit right with me so I told her I will go tomorrow and they can show me the camera because I don't trust her! Instead of approaching me directly a staff member whispered to the cashier and then the cashier calls the manager and then the manager calls me out of the line, rings me up only then to talk to me with disrespect about breaking their store policy. The girl at the check out today was was a Royal you know what. The computer was acting up first would not let her sign on then would not take my card she told me to re insert it which I did. It still did not work so I swiped it. She scolded me and said I needed to insert it. I told her it was not working. She looked at me like I was the biggest idiot. Said you need to wait until the systems ready. Really I said you told me each time to re insert it and it did. She looked at me again like I was supposed to know when even though she told me to do it twice. Well finally it worked. She rolled her eyes and gave me the receipt. Did not say one more word to me. I LOVE this Rite Aid. Words I'd never thought I'd say let alone type down. The staff is always welcoming but, I have to single out the manager Tony (I hope I'm spelling his name right). What a breath of fresh air in what I've seen in any other stores since the pandemic. Not only does Tony makes me feel valued as a customer but, valued as a person. I need to get my baby's medicine and they don't have it ready because they don't have enough staff on the weekend. Great stop for last minute items. It's like a smaller Target minus the clothing. It has alcohol, ice cream, hardware, a pharmacy etc. Lines are rarely long and service is acceptable. The only downside is everything is considerably over priced. I guess you pay for the convenience. read more

If I could do a ZERO STAR I would. I'm really upset about my shopping experience at rite aid. I get that everyone is going crazy with this coronavirus pandemic,but there's absolutely no reason to be mean or say mean comments outloud when you're an employee there. As a customer I felt completely HARRASED, i mean from the moment i walked in there i was being eyed on every aisle I would walk through, I was there shopping for a couple things and I grabbed 2 small clorox bottles and an older lady (employee) came up to me telling me "you will only be able to purchase 1 not 2." I appreciate the heads up but why are you telling me this when I'm still shopping,if that's a rule then I respect it but I believe the cashier in the job could've told me as well. I felt there was no need for her to follow me thru every aisle to tell me this. Another thing,I asked when they would finish stocking up and their response was "idk when we get there" I asked for a specific item and the lady said " ohhh idk when we will get there" mind you I had been waiting for awhile. Just browsing thru the aisles,when a customer came and said he had seen this lady walkout with 2 of the products I'd been waiting for...I then decide to ask again,but seemed like I kept getting the run around. I have a family member with a compromised immune system so this is something I truly needed,it wasn't that I was being a hoarder because I only wanted 1. Anyways I walk around another aisle and I hear 2 employees saying to each other "I'm done being nice,I'm over this" really?! How unprofessional to say this outloud as an employee! Then the lights went off inside the store around 5:15pm,it was pitch black and one employee walked thru the aisle I was in and shouted "omg I been waiting for this!" Then looked at me and said "if it doesnt go back on in a couple mins you're gonna have to leave" yes I agree with that but the way she said it was so rude,just the tone in her voice!! I'm definitely making my voice be heard because this is my local rite aid and I've been going there for years and neve felt so MISTREATED and HARRASED. Also as I was checking out in the self check out 2 female employees kept going back and forth in the middle of the aisles and staring at me check out. I truly felt like o was being stared up and down and harassed as if I was stealing.it was just traumatic experience. I of course took this to corporate as well. Today I went in to pick up my prescription given to me for treatment for MISCARRIAGE. This is obviously a very sensitive time for myself and my fiancé and what we experienced is honestly the last thing we needed. The "doctor" was called for approval of my prescription and upon arrival he proceeded to give us this judgmental look and said, "oh this is to terminate a pregnancy..." I cannot comprehend how a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL can be so insensitive when the prescription bottle he was reading clearly states this is for TREATMENT OF MISCARRIAGE. Believe me, if my baby hadn't passed away in my womb I would not have been there to pick up this medication. I am truly disgusted by the lack of customer service and insensitivity by the staff and encourage EVERYONE to go to another pharmacy - one that knows how to treat their customers with respect. read more

I had a return but I also had a prescriptions to pick up as well so when I walked in, I went straight to the back to pick them up and proceeded to the front in order to process my return. The cashier was like I saw you I saw you walk to the back of the store and I was like ok yeah I did walk to the back of the store to pick up my prescription what's the problem? Well you should have told me when you walked in the door that you had a return...WTF Who walks into a store and announces to everyone in there, "Hey everyone attention all cashiers I have a return..... " ?!? After that .....I am changing pharmacies (which is horrible there as well) and will never set foot in there again.... Love this Rite Aid... simply for their ice cream. I could eat it every day and still manage to feel great about myself. Have not really ventured much throughout the store other then to the ice cream section. My family and I love it and will continue to come back just for that. Been going there since it was a Thrifty's. Sign changed but not much else. For 20 years as soon as they see me coming, what I assume must be actors posing as customers besiege the sole open cash register and I am stuck waiting forever. Eventually, the checkout girl notices there are 10 people in line and gets on the PA to request back up. I usually make the wrong choice and end up in the slowest line regardless of which one I choose. But the employees are nice folks. But like someone else said: convenience has its price. If you don't feel like roaming the vastness of the new Death Star Von's and just need a twelve pack or some Chapstick, it's worth a stop. read more

Due to a change in my medical insurance, this is the closest pharmacy to get my prescriptions filled. But I'll be traveling out of my way from now on.. Well, tonight I decided to take my two nieces here for some ice cream and I must say I had the worse customer service experience from cashier number 55567386. It seems as if he brought in his personal problems to work and decided that I should be the one he would take it out on. After being served our ice cream my niece wanted a spoon, but there wasn't any in the cup. We then asked cashier number 55567386 politely for a spoon he snapped and said there's some in the cup. Hello??? If there was spoons in the cup we wouldn't have asked you for one duhhhhhhhhh. Anyhow, this disgusting pig gave us a spoon and then as we were walking away from the counter he decided to let out a loud burp.... Not only was his action unprofessional, but also nasty. Every time I go here I remember why I keep saying I need to find a new pharmacy. There was a line of people waiting to pick up their prescriptions, and the pharmacist was on the phone. She had no intention of helping any of us, stayed on the phone and when I finally asked her if she was on a personal call she said no and got off the phone. Then she told me no one had called in the prescription for me. I told her she was wrong, they called it in 45 minutes earlier. I told her to check again and she did, told me it would be 1/2 hour to fill a basic prescription for antibiotics! I told her I'd wait - actually took her about 10 minutes total. If you can find another place, do it! read more
