His prescription plan this year requires we get all his prescriptions from Walgreens. At the beginning of the year things were great. Refills were on time, when a doctor sent over a perscription it was ready the same day. Everyone working there was kind and curteous. Then Rite-Aid closed and everyone that was getting their prescriptions from Walgreens and it has turned into a hell house. I just spent 40 minutes on the phone to discuss one of his prescriptions and I had to hang up at 40 minutes because I do have a life that requires my attention. The whole time I was waiting the voice kept telling me there was one caller ahead of me and someone would be with me shortly. The doctor sent over the prescription for the generic brand and they filled it with the name brand and it's $500. I CANNOT wait until the end of the year so that we can switch plans and get something different because I never ever ever want to set foot in a Walgreens again!! At the pharmacy counter they have a sign that says please be kind to our employees and refrain from disrespectful behavior. Don't you think making me wait on hold for 40 minutes is a little disrespectful? The person caring for you is also someone's loved one? Guess what? I HAVE LOVED ONES AS WELL!!!!!!! If you're not respecting your customers then you can really expect the same from them can you?

I have 7 prescriptions, and they are supposed to pack them for me, so maybe it's just too much. More than once they have simply failed to deliver my drugs on time. Last time they said later they couldn't get approval for one of the prescriptions, but simply decided not to let me know, so I had no chance to intervene and try to get the prescription approved. I don't know what happened today, but they close early on Saturday, and are not open on Sunday. So I won't get my drugs that regulate my heart until they get around to it maybe on Monday? I'm going to have to switch drug stores AGAIN.

The staff, literally all of them, are nice people with hearts of gold (and to them, I am sorry for your recent loss) There are literally only two compounding pharmacies in the Toledo region, and these pharmacies serve in a vital and personalized niche industry. Bruderer was cheaper than the other option on Secor/central in toledo (75 dollars vs 115). This is one of three medications that I am on, but the only one that requires a compounding pharmacy -- therefore it is the only prescription I have filled at a compounding pharmacy. Usually the wait times here are 1-5 minutes, today it was a bit longer, but still flowing, and everyone on staff was making sure everyone in line was already taken care of, their prescriptions were at the counter, and they just needed to take care of payment and the usual consent stuff once they got to the counter (There was a recent death on their stuff, someone who was vital to the functioning of the compounding area, so things have been a little slow the past week.. this is not their fault, and they are handling it as well as they can) You will be treated like family here. I have nothing but good things to say about the head pharmacist and all of her staff. She treats you like a real person, is willing to consult privately f you have complex concerns, and I have nothing bad to say at all. Anyway, I've said my part. I also want to mention that this is 100% my opinion, I was never asked to review this place, and I am a random person who started coming in about 6 months ago for a prescription that I was previously filling elsewhere. There simply is no other option when it comes to doing what they do and we are lucky that one of only two compounding pharmacies in the area is as good to their clients as Bruderer is (Btw -- service at the other place was just fine, this is in no way talking them down) People need to learn to know what compound pharmacies are for and whether they should use one. This is not just a "Family-owned pharmacy" that distributes pills from pill companies -- they make your prescription in an on-site lab; you can even watch through a window to see inside this lab. Given that my B.S. is in microbiology -- it's actually kind of fun to watch for a minute or two when i have the time ! :D

Only 1 star because I can't select negative 1 star. this location has been the worst pharmacy. save…read moreyourself time, headache and stress. in the 11 months I've had to deal with them, ive had nothing but problems. one month they gave me 30 day supply of medicine and when I went to refill told me they couldn't cuz they had given me a 90 day- they were wrong but caused a headache. another time w a diff med they said there was a shortage - but I kept telling them there was a shortage on the other kind and I don't take that one - after completely stressing me out they realized it, last month they accidentally deleted my meds, twice they have told me it was ready and then I get there and tell me I can't pick it up for another day- then why I text me? today last said they can't fill it to spite the fact the text and the app said I could today, and actually laughed at me when I said I was out. said they can't cuz they filled it early 3 times already- which they have not- cuz they have deleted me twice . should of known there was going to be an issue after saying my name back to me and giving her my date of birth again - she asked had I ever filled with them before.
