When in "the Big Fig", you can get the things you forgot to get at Walmart like sunscreen so your face doesn't turn electric pink.

Lots has changed, but not this place. When I was in college Kwik Fill had did a complete rebuild to make it look like it does today. Since the rebuild, does not look like much has changed. Maybe the building aged a bit, but that's about all. It is the only gas station in town. Also one of the few places to get items that are convenient. Hot food is also available if you are up for some gas station fare. Back in the day I remember coming here for some chicken strips and fries. Typical items you would find in a gas station convenience store. Typical service as well. Attentive as expected, but it seems like a bit of a joking atmosphere. Lots of joking between employees, and some of the regulars that stop in here. It appears to be a frequent spot for local authorities. You have to give it to them. It is a needed place in town and it has served its purpose all those years.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. The first gas pump we pulled up to was out of service. There…read morewas a plastic bag attached to the pump saying "out of service" which was initially extremely unnoticeable. Upon pulling up to the next pump ahead, the transaction machine indicated that the pump does not take card, which required entering the store to pay in cash. Over all, this gas station is an oxymoron, in that it was not "KWIK" by any means. Will not be returning to this station... I'd rather drive out of the area to a gas station with more accessible gas pumps, and better customer service during times of inconvenience.

The Korner Store is a small convenient store, attached to a hair saloon next door. What I like…read moreabout this place is it's on my way to work and it's nice if you need to grab something quick. It's changed hands a few times in the past couple of years, but the store itself has been consistent. The staff are generally friendly and I've never had an issue. I'd really love to give the Korner Store 5 stars because I just love how cute and close it is, but I can't for the following reasons...First of all, the parking is bad. There are only 4 - 5 spaces out front, which you cannot back into, since you are coming right off of the road and it's hard to see up the hill. Simply not safe. Since it shares the spaces with the saloon next door, there are times there isn't a spot and you have to either pull over on the side of the road or in front of the apartments below it. Also, they only accept cash, which isn't a big deal for me because I try to pay for cash as much as I can. They do have an ATM though. Also, no hot beverages so don't go in for a coffee. Again, not a problem for me because I don't drink coffee. This is more of a small store for regulars to pick up smokes and play the lottery. They also carry water, pop, and other drinks, snacks, and some random household items like toilet paper. Another plus is everything is pretty cheap, especially when compared to other convenient stores. Cans of pop are $.50 and most snacks are $.25 - $1.00. Not too shabby if you are on your lunch break and need something quick.

So I recently found myself at Sheets in North Huntington, and let me tell you, their fried tacos…read moreare a game changer. They have this amazing deal where you can get six tacos for six dollars, and let me just say, it fed my entire family. Now, I know what you're thinking - "you ate at a gas station with your family? That's kind of trashy." And normally, I would agree with you. But hear me out. We were in a pinch, and we wanted to go see the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie. And let's be real, when you're trying to keep a family fed and entertained, sometimes you have to make some questionable decisions. But you know what? It wasn't half bad. The gas station was clean, and the tacos were delicious. Who knew that a turnpike gas station could serve up such tasty treats? Of course, after eating six tacos in one sitting, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be as fat as my cat. Seriously, have you ever tried to get a cat to exercise? It's like trying to get a sloth to do parkour. She's so obese that when she jumps off of my furniture, it sounds like I'm back in Falluja and a roadside bomb went off on my hardwood floors. Seriously, when she's 15 years old she's going to go into the vet, and they're gonna say she has osteoarthritis from her heavy body frequently jumping from moderately high places and disjointing her paws. If she only knew how bad she was treating her body, maybe she would make some life changes. But if I brought her a taco, she would certainly eat it, But I digress. All in all, I would definitely give Sheets in North Huntington high marks for their food. But there is one thing that could use some improvement - the dining area. Look, I get it, it's a gas station. But if you're going to offer seating for people to eat, you should probably make sure the tables are clean and there are napkins and other alternatives available. It's the little things that make a place more inviting for people who want to come in and eat, even if it is at a gas station. And let's be real, after eating six tacos, you're going to need some napkins. Let me just say that if you're looking for a quick and tasty meal on the go, Sheets in North Huntington is definitely worth a stop. And hey, if you're feeling adventurous, why not try some of their other menu items? Who knows, you might just find your new favorite gas station snack. In conclusion, I highly recommend Sheets in North Huntington for their fried tacos. Just make sure you clean up the dining area a bit, okay? I don't want to have to eat my tacos with a side of grease stains.

I had been taking different roads this night and found myself in nearby Youngwood. After I left a nearby establishment, I realized I forgot to get something to drink. I pulled in here and it felt familiar. That is because I have been on this plot of land a very long time ago. Well before this lot of land was a Speedway, it was a King's Family Restaurant. It is just an odd location for a business. It is about the midway point between two areas flush with businesses. But nothing else is around it that is worth mentioning. It is a bit odd inside. The setup throws you for one. It is a basic rectangular building, but it feels like it slants on the inside. Everything is done at a slant. Even the registers. I will say this about Speedway. Out of all the gas station convenience stores out there, they seem to have the most vast selection of drinks. I appreciate this as I am a bit picky when it comes to my choice of drink and get a bit flabbergasted when I cannot find what I want. For a late night stop, it is not a bad place to do so. It seems to be frequented by truckers a lot just so you know.

I went inside the store and just bought hot dog and a drink or something and only spent about $5 because I just wanted to see if the gift card worked on my newly activated account. It worked. I forgot about the rest of my balance on the card. I went to use it like a year later but the gift card money that I had on my app was gone. Maybe it expired or something. I think that's kind of awful. It was a long time but why would it expire and why would they take my money? If it worked at the gas pump to begin with I would have just used the whole card there. I'm only out like $15-$20 but why would I go back when I could go to Sheetz or GetGo or some other place?
