I recently relocated to this area and this was my first visit to Main Street Merc. I was approached by Rachel to offer information about DIY paints. She was very informative on her selling speech but the lighting was very dark. I took paint samples painted on wood disks to the better lighted shop next door. Still unsure, I took recommendations from Rachel, and purchased $140 in a quart of paint, stain, 2 brushes, and wax. When I got home, I looked up the paint color on the DIY website and the color was more an electric teal than the color that it appeared to be in Stella Rose boutique. I contacted Rachel and asked to exchange the unopened quart for a neutral color and she refused. So buyer beware that this high end craft and DIY paint boutique does not exchange any product. For 2021, this is a very poor business practice. There are DIY vendors online that ship. This is an unfortunate lesson for me a newcomer, and future loss of sales for an antiquated business practice of Stella Rose Boutique.

Walking in you feel like you are strolling into a California boutique. Her assortment is simple and pieces are carefully selected. Stylish. All a bit too far out of my price range though. The jewelry was also distinctive in taste. Oh my gosh but the texture in here is so well put together. Exposed brick, cowhide rug, iron and wood shelving and eye-popping turquoise furniture. This gal knows what's up. And my favorite part is the complimentary wine on the wall. Pop in for a glass and buy some stuff. Yeah, this gal is seriously way before her time. Love it!

Dish towels were in the front, next to bird houses made out of bird seeds, right before the jewelry counter with beautiful earrings and necklaces. Huge bars of soap were next to Morristown & Tennessee memorabilia. Towards the back were purses, luggage and clothing. We took a picture of the hours so we'd remember what time to come back. We were on our way to an appointment and didn't have time to select and buy!

I had to ask if this was a vintage shop or all the clothes brand new? Because the feel of some vignettes are so vintage. And the whimsical decoration is cute too.The dressing area is adorably converted office/rooms in this old building. I love the way they re-purposed them with furnishings and curtains. I snagged some cute little shorts on sale for half off just in time for warmer weather. The shop girl was a real sweet pea and helped me out. The price points are not a steal. It's just like what you find at the mall. And they have a sale rack in the back.

The main thing I had been searching for was a French Press, but also found a large dog bed, cheap but cute welcome mat, small indoor rugs, deep pocket king sized sheets, and gladiator sandals. Check, check, check and done! Next time I had to do household shopping, I went straight here, and again, found it all. Shopping here saves me hours and dollars. More time to go play in Morristown!
