The main problem was the food that was served. It started off really good with a salad containing mixed greens, apple slices, nuts, cheese..with a delicate dressing. Then came the main course, baked chicken with some kind of bread crumb topping that was over seasoned and very salty. To accompany the over seasoned chicken was some kind of au gratin potato creation which was savory and also very salty. The third item was what appeared to me to be overcooked broccoli again heavily seasoned with salt, pepper and some grated parm cheese. Three savory very salty items on a plate does not make for a fine meal. To me it seems the chef either has a diminished sense of taste or never checked to see what was going out on the floor. The other sad thing about this is that it was a mature crowd attending this event among which you often find people with health issues that need to limit sodium intake! If this had been a restaurant that I had visited for the first time, it would be the last. Other than the food we had a great time at the event.

I have read bad reviews about this place and I should have listened to them. I advise any couple considering this venue to choose another place. It is not worth the hassle and incompetence of dealing with McKenna, who is clearly very young and new at this, and does not know how to properly manage a wedding. She is inadequate at handling weddings and poor at communicating with clients. Do not waste your time here.

Let's start with the building itself. The center lobby area is nice, and includes a cozy fireplace area, a nice touch. Bathrooms seem fine to me, they were nice, and also clean the night of our event. The entrance outside could be a little nicer. The room was nice. They included table linens and chair covers which was great. The table decor is very basic so we decided to have something nicer done by Bright Designs. On a tight budget she was able to provide small but nice table florals. Food. We know food is so important. Our event included the first hour of butler passed, and I do wish I would have had trays pass by me more often. I only saw a tray two times during the hour. The crab cake isn't something I'd recommend, it sounded good but did taste like a Sam's club frozen crab cake. The rest of the evening there were several stations set, including a meet carving station, sweet table, and another table that had appetizers and a cheese platter. The meat station was nice, that was good. The sweet table looked very nice, although i didn't try much - I have never loved sweet tables with the fancy desserts, I find they are usually much prettier than they are tasty. Cake- meh. I was pretty disappointed in the cake. While it was supposed to be a smooth finish with ribbon they decided to embellish it. Also, we were planning to put some orchids on the cake to dress it up, and they took it upon themselves to decorate our cake themselves with a bunch of leftover flowers we didn't want on there. It looked rather terrible but we couldn't do anything about it - as the frosting was smooshed under the florals...so when we tried to remove them, they made a mark. Also, the flavor was very bland. It wasn't dry which is good, but just tasted like not to much of anything. Bartender was awesome, I wish I remembered her name. She was very friendly and did a great job. Overall, we had a great party. I think my hesitation between 2-3 stars comes from the only so-so food, and the cake issue. At the end of the night we still had a blast, had good music, friends and family and most important, my parents loved it!

Going into the room, there are several "dips" in the floor. There is a small sign indicating as such, but easy to miss. I did see one person actually fall & several trip because of this. The room itself was nice. The bathrooms were not particularly clean. Toilets did not flush well. Men's had only 1 stall. Staff did not empty the garbage cans in the bathrooms, so there were paper towels, etc. all over the floor. Speaking of staff - they barely understood English - except the bartender. She was an exceptionaly nice lady! Food was good & was buffet style - plenty of it! During dinner, the power went out. I would think that a place like this out in the middle of nowhere would be prepared for such things. Thank God it came on after about an hour & the evening went on. Food impressive, but not the facility.

Once again I'm reviewing the stage performance and not the restaurant…read more Son and I saw Nunsense last night. What a fun and funny show. The small cast was perfect and great to watch. The stage was wild to see and needed a bit of explaining which was done immediately. The voices all worked perfectly together. It was laugh out loud funny--even though I didn't fully understand some of the Catholic school references (I'm Jewish). It was irreverent, too, with some of the innuendos. Loved it!!

We had not been here for many years…read more The theatre and lobby are gorgeous, you can come early for dinner or drinks. The seats in the theatre are comfy and the leg room is great! At least on the main floor in the first 20 rows. I don't know about the ones in the back or in the balcony. I believe Thai also still have brunch or dinner packages that include tickets to the theatre. We went to see Father of the Bride, a cute comedy about a daughter's wedding and all the chaos that occurs.

Absolutely Terrible!…read more My sister had her wedding reception at Royal Fox in June of 2012. We had high hopes, especially after the tasting and working with Jane. We were extremely disappointed. Here's a rundown of the major problems: 1. They served the wrong main entree - Yep, you read that correctly, they served the wrong food! When we brought it to their attention they told us "the wedding last week didn't want the breaded chicken, so we didn't think you would either." Ummm, what the heck does a wedding a week ago have to do with what my sister ordered? 2. They didn't have champagne at the bar, even though my sister paid extra specifically for it. When we asked the manager on duty where the champagne was we were told that we were lying about paying for it (we weren't and the contract proved that). 3. The room was WAY TOO HOT! Several guests complained about the temperature. When we brought this up, they told us it was because we had too many people in the room; however, we had at least 70 fewer people than their stated maximum. They also brought us to other sections of the club and said "see, the temperature is fine here." Again, what does that have to do with anything? The reception room was hot and they did nothing to resolve the issue at all. Overall, what was going badly was made much worse by the horrible attitude of the staff. They never once apologized and instead were defensive and made excuses for everything. I would never recommend this venue to anyone. As of today, they have not done anything in the way of an apology or compensation for the issues we experienced. The reception could have been great, but instead was frustrating, uncomfortable, and frankly, a little embarrassing. Never again. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

I have gone there repeated times (and I'm going to say I e given this four or five times with this exact scenario happening) to eat and what not I get completely ignored. No one comes by to take the order. The last two times after sitting for 20 minutes I actually walked out. I thought I'd give them one more shot, but it went exactly the same, and I actually waited for the food which total took almost an hour and I don't know how you can mess up easy food, but I guess it's possible. when the food comes. It's either ice cold or not cooked, they basically demand a tip and I get that a lot of them are volunteers. I volunteer as well but when you've ignored me for 25 minutes and my food comes not cooked or ice cold and it seems like I'm bothering you, I don't know why I should be tipping? The tipping culture is ridiculous. It's not something that's demanded or expected you get tipped for good service. That's how it works. If there is no service to speak of there shall not be a tip as well. if you volunteer that's a choice like I do it and I don't expect anything from it

We were the only party there, and there wasn't a ton of us but it would've been a really nice gesture to have the lights on for the guests. We were worried we weren't at the right place. Thankfully, it wasn't icy or wet or it would've been a big hazard. We were in a smaller party room in the basement, with our own bartender. The bartender was willing to run up to the main bar for any item we were missing. The room we were in was nicely sized and set up well for a party. My only qualm is that a lot of ceiling tiles had water damage on them. These were the kinds that could easily be replaced. It would help the look of the room x10! The service here was SO friendly from the waiters, to our chef, Brian. The food they made was amazing! The apps, the pasta station, the prime rib and veggies, and all salads were just great. The desserts were also OMG good- that raspberry cannoli was top notch. I would love to return here in the future.
