We just had our daughter's 1st birthday party here and the whole experience was awesome. Gina was incredible from the moment we decided to book it..she helped us pick a winning menu that people called to rave about the next day! She accommodated without hesitation for those guests that had different dietary needs. Gina was always quick to respond to all my phone calls and emails..and she was there the day of the event making sure everything was ok! Went here for a bridal shower. The facility is very nice. Classic country club feel. The staff was attentive and really took good care of our large group. Upon arrival, it was quite warm in the room we were in, but we simply asked the manager to turn up the air and cool it off- handled in seconds. We had the Sunday brunch and it was lovely. Not huge, but very good. Made-to-order omelets, peel & eat shrimp, a variety of fresh and pasta salads, eggs Benedict, carving station and an array of desserts- which I thoroughly enjoyed. :) I don't know how much the brunch was PP, but I assume enough. Its a lovely venue to host any event and with a view of the well-maintained golf course! I'm not complaining. read more

We hosted a memorial lunch at Fox and Turtle. It's a cute little restaurant and bar. The front house staff (host /hostess?) was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Management/event planning not so much. It just didn't seem like they worked as a team. One set of people were doing what we asked of and the other just rushed through things. Not to mention an add service fee of 22% that was NOT mentioned when we were booking. That service fee did not include tip. Not a big deal but would have been nice to know instead of the bill being placed I front of us and us being told "the service charge is not the tip". We also went to check out the rest of the club and inquired about a membership. I sent an email before we left to a coordinator who said they'd get back to us. Over a week later, no reply. I then went on to email another coordinator who got back to us within 24 hours. Awesome! We filled out the contract and I called the direct line, left VM and did not receive another call back. Over a week later I then again sent an email. Finally got a reply but all with days in between. 3+ weeks later we finally were able to schedule a tour and even that seemed rushed. I'm sorry to say, but as customers are we an inconvenience to your staff? Not sure where the disconnect is with everything, but something needs to change. We also turned in our contract for the waiting list, and asked to come in on another day for a round on the course to test it out. There was no follow up email or call. Customer service needs to improve immensely!!! read more

The Itasca Brewing Company (IBC) is the best new addition to the northwest suburbs! Inside of the Itasca Country Club and open to the public, IBC has amazing beers and sodas. You can order food from the Fox and Turtle restaurant next door, which is great! Mike, one of the owners/brewers, is great to chat with, learn from, and makes the experience an all-around good time! We had such a wonderful experience working with Itasca Country Club for our wedding. The staff was incredibly present & wonderful, especially on the day of the wedding. Susie was our coordinator and she helped us so much leading up to the wedding and even on the day of. The food was also AMAZING. All of our guests raved about the food and said it was the best food they've had at a wedding, especially the chicken parmesan, haha. I just went to a wedding here last night. I'm sitting around with my friends right now raving about the venue and the food, so I had to come on and give a 5 star. The venue was so pretty and very well laid out. It felt like a resort compared to a standard wedding banquet hall. The rehearsal dinner was downstairs at Fox & Turtle and the food was outstanding. Brewery is never open, dining staff indicated only one beer available. Too bad, this space could be used to much greater potential. Been there a few times. Brewery needs help badly. Attended a wedding reception last night. It was a great party. For such a nice venue I must say my wife and I were disappointed as were others. Food service was delayed and very slow. We had our wedding at the Itasca Country Club. We began with Katie as our wedding coordinator, however she abruptly left and Janine was appointed our new coordinator. It was quite an adjustment to go from having Katie, who was highly organized, very personable and friendly, and extraordinarily knowledgeable about weddings to Janine, who sadly dropped the ball. We ended up hiring our own coordinator as it got closer to the wedding because I just couldn't rest easy having Janine run our big day. She wouldn't respond to e-mails, she forgot about many details my husband and I shared with her, and she didn't have answers for us. Janine stated she would have golf carts for our bridal party to use to escort us to the train station for pictures. She didn't have a single cart for us. My husband and I rode out with our photographer by ourselves after taking ones nearby that we were pretty certain were still in use by golfers...oops! There were many other "drop-the-ball" examples, but at the end of the day, none of those things matter. When initially planning our wedding, we visited many websites such as yelp, so it was important to us that we left reviews for our vendors that accurately portray the service we received. Overall, ICC gets 3 stars from us because the site itself is unbeatable. The garden is perfect for an outdoor ceremony and the reception space has that blank canvas feel to it. Love golfing here, golf staff is top notch and course is in great shape and super fun to play. The Fox and Turtle is a great addition, good idea on management's part to do away with the 1980's typical country club grill room and go with the oh so spiffy and tasty Fox and Turtle. The renovations to the pool are great. Love the new deck, food and drink runners are great. Lifeguards on nice to all the little ones. Their special events are getting better and better. Last night they had a luau with a pig roast, hula dancers and it was a blast. This is just a great club. read more

This had to be the worst brunch ever. We went here expecting a nice Easter brunch, and at 50 per person it should have been wonderful. The food was terrible and generic. Noting special at all. Over cooked meat. Fatty and cold. Small little shrimp and imitation crab. Deserts were stale and store bought. Old country buffet would have been better. I felt bad having to pay for such shit. We were in and out in 35 minutes for $124. Lol. Complete rip off. I never have given any restaurant a review like this. Stay home and scramble eggs. Your better off! read more

Finally got to eat in the main club area for the Easter brunch and wow, it was amazing! We are new(er) members and have been eating in Fox & Turtle, but this brunch was up on the main floor with tables and tables of offerings. A omelet and pasta bar made to order, a kid's table with mac and cheese and mini burgers, shrimp cocktail, carved ham and prime rib! Servers were friendly and very accommodating AND there was an Easter bunny circulating the room handing out eggs with stickers inside to keep the kids happy. I was really impressed with how well things were organized and the food was delicious. Even people with dietary restrictions could certainly eat their fill! Mimosas included in the tab and those were also great! Prime rib was a little tough, but other than that, I think they did a great job. With tax and tip, our party of 5 plus two toddler was around $50 a person, but it was money well spent to not deal with cooking or cleaning! read more

In life, it's rare for things to exceed our expectations, but this past Saturday, September 14th, this actually happened. It was my daughter's wedding at the Itasca Country Club and my last daughter getting married, so we wanted everything to go perfectly. We worked directly with Gina, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She kept insisting that she would make my daughters wedding amazing, and she actually delivered. I would highly, highly recommend Itasca Country Club. We just had our wedding reception here at the end of July and it was an absolute dream! The venue itself is gorgeous and had everything we were looking for. I was pretty particular with what I envisioned for the venue--I wanted lots of natural light, modern look and feel, pretty & updated chandeliers, and the ability to take photos on-site. I also really liked the idea of not having to share the venue with another wedding on the day of. I worked with Gina Appari and she was absolutely amazing! Mother's Day brunch was wonderful at the country club. Exceptional service and the food was delicious. Roses were handed out to all the mom's and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. This was my first time at this brunch and I really liked the fact that they didn't over book like most places do. The lines for the food were not long, you were able to move around without worrying about hitting someone with your plate and we got great service. We had a large family party in the "Lyons" room for my dad's 80th birthday. The party was an open-house style party and the staff was able to keep the buffet food warm and freshly replenished for three hours. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was, especially the meatballs! They were totally accommodating to our large family that ranged from elderly relatives needing the elevator, to picky kids who only wanted buttered noodles, to dads who wanted to run down to the Fox and Turtle bar to watch the Bears game! Our coordinator, Gina, was absolutely perfect. She worked with us on all our details during the planning stage and was on top of everything throughout the party. went to a wedding there last weekend. the patio area is beautiful with a great view of the well maintained course. When everyone sat down on the chairs outside- the cushions were wet and got pants wet and started leaking everywhere. you would think they would store those away every evening or during a day where there is rain so this purposely doesn't happen. The meatball, scallop, asparagus wrapped w prosciutto appetizers were not tasty, but the bruschetta was great. The cream of asparagus soup was good as well but the Greek like salad was average at best, the chicken was dry as a bone & rubber, no seasoning or sauce on the potatoes or vegetables on the plate. Just plain old steamed veggies which is fine cuz i like veggies but they were dry as well. Decor was nice and room was great size. The front of the facility was not attractive at all. read more

i had my wedding reception here in early april, just now getting to the reviews of all my vendors... i have mixed feeling about this place. the outside cant be beat for pictures. we had stopped at a nice little park up the street from here for some pictures, but then also took a few pix here...and they are beautiful. inside is...ok? not...beautiful...but...not bad either. the customer service during the planning and leading up to the wedding was hit or miss. sometimes they were totally attentive, sometimes 10 days would go by before i heard back. day of, the service was great...our head waitress was on the ball...i had a pretty large bridal party and we kept her on her toes but she handled it all efficiently, and with a never wavering smile. the food was...good? its hard for me to really say anything bad because...its wedding steak, not mortons. i guess as long as it doesnt either look like the bottom of my shoes, or get up and run off my plate as i try to eat it, its fine...and this was fine. dinner was served in a timely fashion,plates cleared, and the party started. we had a blast. so, i cant rave, and i cant complain. i wish they were a little better at the customer service aspect, but, everything really did turn out fine, we had super fun, and all our guests had a great time. i dont need much more than that! read more

Just finished eating Easter brunch at this place, first time here. Mediocre, at best. And nowhere near the $50/per person price. There was very little variety and the food was cooked in the most basic of ways. The sausage looked raw and was overflowing because no one wanted to try it, the prime rib station had no heat lamp so it was not even lukewarm and the piece my husband was given didn't have a single edible bite on it because of the over abundance of fat in all of it. The dessert table looked like something you'd see in a kindergarten classroom and the miniature cakes were literally rough & crumbled to the touch from sitting out so long. The bacon was the only thing that was cooked perfectly and tasted good. This was a $25/per person brunch and even at that price I would have left feeling ripped off. We were in and out in 40 minutes. Ate at Carmines downtown last year for $5 more per person and was worth every penny. Save your money. read more

I got married at Itasca this summer and had the perfect day. Our coordinator (Jancy) worked with us the entire year prior to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed on the day. We had planned to get married outdoors, but Illinois weather didn't cooperate. Instead, we got married in the reception hall and it looked beautiful! We were able to overlook the golf course and fit all of our guests in a gorgeous setting. The all-inclusive nature of the venue helped reduce our stress with planning. The food was delicious, and there was never a line at the bar. Considering we had 160 adult guests, I was very impressed. The venue floor is all wood, so we were able to have a huge dance floor, which our DJ put to work. I highly recommend this venue for future weddings; the combination of helpful staff, beautiful facilities, and competitive pricing are hard to come by. read more

My daughter's wedding was at Itasca Country Club this past Saturday. The event was perfect. At the rehearsal on Friday we found out that the wedding coordinator we'd been working with would not be available. Within ten minutes of meeting Gina (the newly assigned coordinator) we had no concerns - and we were right. Gina was amazing during the rehearsal - none of us knew what we were doing but she had us all comfortable with her right away. The wedding day was amazing. The florist, DJ, and photographer had a very easy day working with Gina and the rest of the crew. The wedding was held inside. The room looked beautiful. The moving of chairs after the ceremony to set up cocktail hour was so easy - the bartenders were amazing during the entire event. The service was so friendly. The girls loved the bridal room before the wedding and through the whole night. The guys met in the room down in the restaurant before the ceremony and loved that too. The best part was anytime you were even starting to think of something you might want to ask Gina she was there. We never had to look for her. She had everything under control and could not have been more helpful. We are so happy with everyone we worked with but especially Gina. Thanks for an amazing event!! read more

We only had 31 people at our wedding but she always treated us like we were going to have 200. My wife and I joined Itasca CC in the spring of this year. I very much enjoy golfing here with my colleagues, The course is both challenging and well kept. The waitstaff in the bar area are also very kind and friendly, and the pool is also nicely kept up. The food is good - I think there are a few things to improve upon in terms of taste, but overall, we have had a positive experience here. read more

The newly remodeled rooms are beautiful, the staff if flexible and they are always willing to help when my number attending increases at the last minute. The food is very good and they will help to create a custom menu that will work within my budget. My daughter got married here in June, 2016. The venue space looked Bridal. We loved the white covers on the chairs and the lights under the cake table and head table. The bar was large and handled our 160 guests easily. Since there was no carpeting, we were able to make the dance floor large. Since the dance floor was full all night, I was thrilled it was large. The staff was very helpful and did whatever we asked of them. It brought us great comfort. The outdoor space gave the bride and groom many beautiful pictures. We had to move indoors because of the rain that day and the ceremony looked like it was always meant to be that way. We received many compliments from the guests on the venue. read more

Went for Easter brunch and was extremely dissapointed. Food was unappetizing, not enough serving utencils, dirty, not set up properly-you had to lean over food to get to other dishes-peoples clothes were dragging in food. Out of plates -finally came out dripping wet. No glasses for juice -long line at the food tables because they could not keep up-pans were always empty. I could go on and on. Sent an email to Katie-Banquet Manager-no response after one week-left voicemail for Brian her boss and have also not had a response.
