We were greeted warmly and were able to park the camper and get hooked up to electricity with some help from the owner, Bill. After getting settled we headed inside for wine tasting. Each wine flight comes with 5 wines of your choosing and there are plenty to choose from. We ended up with a bottle of the Crimson Pearl to enjoy while we sat and chatted with Bill, his wife Tammi and their daughter Amanda. The tasting room is large with plenty of seating, a comfy couch and a cute backdrop for fun selfies. They also have a small patio outside but it was too hot to enjoy while we were there. There are snacks available to purchase as well as lots of wine merch. I highly recommend checking this winery out!

It was ready pretty quickly and I went to grab it from the counter. It was loaded with coney meat that was well seasoned. There was shredded cheese under the meat. There were a couple of tables occupied, and there was a steady stream of customers coming in for takeout orders, which is always a good sign. This was my first visit, and I was immediately impressed by how clean and well-lit the restaurant was. The kitchen is visible from the dining area, and it was great to see two cooks and two waitresses working efficiently to keep up with the dinner crowd. The menu is simple and authentic, focusing on traditional Mexican dishes rather than an overwhelming number of options. I ordered the mixed fajitas along with a Mexican bottled Coke. Before the meal, they served warm tortilla chips with a bean dip. I also asked for salsa, and the waitress warned me that the green salsa had a little kick to it--which it did--but it was very flavorful and complemented the chips perfectly. The mixed fajitas were cooked perfectly. The portion size was generous, and despite my best effort, I could only finish about three-quarters of the meal. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be returning. The owner of the truck was polite and the wait wasn't long. Less than ten minutes. I didn't care for the redder sauce. The green was magical. A pseudo guacamole. Basically an avocado puree with jalapeño juice. It's magical and a perfect compliment to the tacos. The owner is working out of the truck while working on an adjacent building he hopes to open as a restaurant. And the food sure beats the Subway across the street. Lol Right now this town of 3,500 people has no shortage of Mexican food. At least one truck, a trailer, at least four or five restaurants, and an ice cream shop all serving Mexican food. There's also a Family Table and Rails for casual American food. If you're traveling highway 17 and pass through Eagle Grove I'd definitely recommend swinging in and checking out La Aventura!

All I could see was a small section of prepackaged homemade cookies , not a big selection, and a few prepackaged bars at an outrageous price for 6 lemon bars at $20. Maybe locals understand what this business is, but a visitor trying to buy a coffee cake from a business that has "cake" right in the name was left confused, with no real assistance from any employee.

We also order groceries online and pick them up. My in-laws get theirs delivered. Fabulous floral dept and bakery too! I've gotten birthday flowers, live plants for my home and floral arrangements for my moms grave. If Hy-Vee doesn't have what you're looking for, they can often get it in for you if you just ask. We are very grateful to have a local Hy-Vee.
